your comment kinda spoiled me, but at the same time didn't because it was still a super entertaining set of plays on both sides. That druid's deck was actually disgusting
Seem like every other druid deck out there. I swear every druid I played have like multiple Scales of Onyxia, Flipper Friend and Miracle Growth or they just discover them for days from Vulpera, Pandaren or Raven Idol.
@@HaiJustDangiT Had a game at 11-2 against a druid who had drafted 3 Scales of Onyxia and managed to discover an additional 2 ones. My frustration was beyond belief
@@HaiJustDangiT Still not as annoying as Paladin's Immortalized in stone especially when they discover more of them and just have taunts for days for 7 mana... :/
52:20 killed me, Druid literally gets the best cards in hand by having a bunch of tokens and double soul of the forest, and all trump says is “okayyy, okayyy” I would’ve truly broken all the bones in my body if that happened to me
average Arena opponent of 2022 is so much better then few years ago its kinda insane. They still play real bad sometimes but seems like everyone uses the addon to draft the best deck possible
Also the way the powercreep is built into Hearthstone makes it a little easier nowadays. You just need to draft the few good cards that will carry you. Some of the Colossal minions and some spells literally just win the game by itself. You didn't really have something like that back in the day. Sure, Flamestrike was strong, but it still cost a Mage their entire turn. Now you have 6 or 7 mana minions that cast Flamestrike from your hand. Cards that return all your mana (one of the Naga's that returns mana equal to your biggest spell in hand? that shit is dumb...). Personally I don't like playing Arena as much anymore because it's less about skill/smart play now, and more about card quality.
If everyone else is using the tracker you are actively punishing yourself for not using it. Given the high stakes of arena it is naturally try-hard. I tend to stay out of it because I prefer constructing my own decks but I certainly see the appeal.
@@Kronos_88 if you really think arena now is all about card quality how do you explain the same people on “8+ wins on average” leaderboard every season? Dumb luck? I started playing HS from beta, but jeez, complaining players are all the same
My favorite part about new expacs/seasons whatever in Hearthstone are these F2P runs, especially at the early parts when you're basically arena-ing your way to the top. Legit basically the only HS content I ever watch anymore, lol.
26:43 It sounds so "weird" due to Blizzard's obsession with raspy voices on most of their characters. The raspier the voice, the more epic it must be. I too have trouble understanding some cards because of it. *Stonemaul Anchorman* is a prime example. I can _barely_ make out "Breaking story: loot!" and "Anchor smash!", but the frenzy trigger line is just incomprehensible. My best guess is "Loot 'em and poach 'em!" but who knows. Either way, that poor voice actor's voice box.
I'm 100% sure the "new player zone" has been changed after seeing these runs, and the previous F2P arena as well. Having played arena since launch and something definitely changed at the start of last year. Does anyone notice how repeatedly the real opponents only show up after 5 wins or so? Basic cardback, non-golden hero opponents playing kinda badly on both runs until at 5 wins there's an obvious arena smurf (experienced player, insane deck, but no portrait customisation + plague cardback == don't care about this account / no long term playing on it). And the curious thing is how after that 5-0 or 5-1 score, every opponent afterwards is "normal". Meaning fair bit of golden cards, at least some reward track portrait, some non-default cardback, 500+ wins hero powers too. This happened exactly the same on both runs. These kind of opponents are what long term players see from 0-0 onwards, which has made arena really annoying and highrolly. Previously ages ago Blizzard has said that "new players play arena as if they have -1 wins". This simply doesn't seem to be true these days, and could very likely be the reason why the arena experience got so weird; it would explain why when you're out of the lower pool, you never see new / less experienced players because they are in the lower pool until 5 wins at least (and if a "new" player gets 5-0 or 5-1 they are most likely an arena smurf).
Nothing screams the mayor more than considering which discover gives the most value when you already have lethal on board
Or when he considered taking the card draw over kodo when the opponent had a 8/4 windfurry out.
THE MAD MANNN, 'whispers' *at the darkmoon fair*
never forget
@@adambyrne7795 Oh no, what did he say after THE MAD MAN again?!? Shit, it's on the tip of my tongue.
I’m pretty happy this expansion has brought trump back to hearthstone. I’ve missed these arena runs!
Whenever trump says "haha priest" you know you are about to see the most devastating loss in the history of the game.
That 5th win against that Druid was so satisfying - that guy had one of the best Druid decks I’ve seen and the mayor still out played him

These F2P runs are tied with the Solem/Dekkster events for best HS content ever made
I like these more than both tbh. Trump's commentary makes this pog

And then the addon that shows you the order of cards drawn, order of the cards played, the cost reductions and the secret helper.
True, also the player base is less than before with BattleGrounds and other modes pulling all the newbies away from Arena

9:12 knowing that you already have lethal, isn't Astral Communion the correct play here?
Trump, about the priest at at 6-2: "His deck isn't very good, he's just high-rolling"
The Priest: "And I took that personally"
when someone played Mossy Horror on Trump, I yelled out "stupid Horror!" I'm glad nobody was around to take it out of context
Thanks for this series. Really enjoying it. U r the best :)
That one guy from the last vid must be pretty happy that the draft was included in this one.
My god, the fight against Golden Pants :D "You vs. the guy she told you not to worry about" indeed!
FTP arena! Excellent bathroom viewing 👌
Thanks for the tip about the free Prime legendary, I got Raid the Docks!

I always thought the anchor man said something about a wrecking story and living… Guess that proves your point.
"Loot'em and Boot'em!"
It's a shame since calling a pirate newsreader an anchorman is a great pun but no-one can understand the joke.

You probably could just have high enough mmr that the system consider you not a new player already
I love Trump arena runs. This is what got me into HS.
Another episode before the weekend ends?! The VALUE!!!
I like watching drafts more than actual games
My God. Alot of bots in this comment section today
Where is the under water THE MAD MAN
Entomb. What a card. Love it
THE MAD MAN (Gurgle gurgle... bubbles)
It's alright I'm in the new player arena class.
Matches up against a golden Druid
32:30 the minion has to die on your turn
Wich extension is Trump using for arena that helps choose the right cards?
Ooooo yisss. I love me some Trumo arena ,and i dont even play Hs.
yaay another arena run! I wonder if he'll keep doing them for packs...
Love the arena content
That feeling when you see what your deck COULD have been…
thanks for the content :)
THE MAD MANNNN
Is it just me or does Arena offer WAY fewer spells than it used to? Just variance?
what program is used to see the wr for all the classes and cards?
What overlay does Trump use for Arena?
Arena love
Trumps twitch streaming versus his TH-cam upload time make me question if his editor us even in the same country as he is. Just curious really.
I think his editor lives in Europe.
@@taivanha463 I heard his name is Jens, so i guess hes probably german ^^
not sure but 13:03 i think playing direwolf first would have made babanaga honorable kill the 1/3 . whatever tho :)
Doesn't work that way, the minion itself must do the honorable kill.
Appreciated.
Guys how I can get the status on arena??
Yet another reason I stopped playing HS and never will again. Look at his Arena draw vs that mage. WTF some people get borderline custom decks.... -_-
Why does it give 2x legendaries I don't remember that
1:05:59 Why tf did he got 2 Malygos
43:01 just look at him how could you tell him he’s a shame :(
Sexbots fishing for value in the comment section 😂
how do you get the percatages to pop up when picking cards in arena?
He manually types his personal rating of each card really fast every time a card appears.
@@nicklaugen4470 haha hahaha
Arena tracker
Have a twitch prime sub my good man, didn't know about the free legendary!
Man Trump was really unlucky this run, didn't get a single copy of scale of onyxia, miracle growth, or flipper friends
When there's 10 minutes left 🙈
holy ads. i watched all till end added like 5 -10 mins XD
My guy
This is real DeepValue! 😏
Quando faccio io l'arena trovo avversari con deck perfetti mentre i becco 0 su 30 roll decenti, modalità più scriptata di hearstone
Arena!!!
Arena!
First!
Dagnabbit
Damn I'm early
WHAT? Hunter should not have 37% i had an 12/2 Arena run today and he has infinite value.
how much of a difference do you think your arena makes in a pool of thousands?
??mm
Are you donald trump?
f2p runs forever
