Being a step-dad just sucks. You start to get treated like you just live there, not that you're a member of the family. The kids look for reasons to not accept you and to talk about you behind your back, especially if they're older. They never think you're treating their mom right, or as good as they would want. They never realize that you're the one providing for most of their needs. They keep to themselves and don't go out of their way to even talk to you. If they're girls, they want even less to do with you, especially if they've had bad experiences with men in the past. If they are kids you know when they get older they will sooner or later talk shit about you.
It isn’t always like that, in so sorry you’re feeling that 😥. I have custody of my grandson and my guy has stepped up and we’re doing great as this family of 3... it’s working very well
