Minimalist packing for a long weekend | How to pack like a minimalist!

- In this video I show you how to pack like a minimalist for weekend away. I used to take so many things with me whenever I traveled no matter how many days it was, but not anymore!
Minimalism makes life simple, it makes you realise what you really need and what you really don't need! By packing minimally you will have more space for things you actually want to take and won't be carrying around unnecessary things that will weigh you down.
In this video I have packed for a warm weekend away but in England the weather is likely to change at the drop of a hat, so I've also included a warmer option. Depending on where you go will depend on what clothes you need to take and how much space they will take up.

So cool to see you pack everything up into a small bag and still have room :) :) just goes to show how little you need when going away for the weekend, I went away 2 weeks ago and I just had a small backpack as well, and when I was going in everyone had their giant suitcases lol 💗

I love packing videos! I was always so intrigued by the Tom Bihn bags so I love seeing them used in videos. I ended up getting the Maxi Kanken bag though, so the exact opposite for the pocket situations. I love how your toiletries fit into that little tin perfectly!
I do too, it's interesting to see how different people pack! 🙂 I watched so many Tom Bihn packing videos before I bought it because I thought it was so awesome and I haven't been disappointed. I love the design of the Kanken bag, they're great and fit so much in! I was so happy when everything fit into the tin perfectly, it's like it was meant to be, hehe. 🙂

Heheh, me too! I think I pretty much watched every single one on youtube before buying mine 😂 Wow! I'm so impressed, I would love to be able to fit everything into a 19 one day! I bet India was amazing 😍
India was amazing for sure. It was my second trip there and I bet I'm going back again. On my first trip I had a backpack and a half empty carry-on suitcase. I realised during the trip that I had way too many things with me and I felt held down by it. After leaving the suitcase in my Delhi hostel to go to Agra and Vrindivan for a spontaneous trip to celebrate Holi I knew I'd be okay with just a backpack. Shortly after I bought my Synapse (indeed after watching all the videos and reading all the reviews). No regrets!
It always looks so beautiful and colourful I love how much culture there is there! It's so much easier to minimise your life while you're travelling isn't it you get a feel for the stuff you really need and the stuff that's weighing you down!

You can tell you're an experienced minimalist packer :-). I seem to packer lighter each trip I make but I'm nowhere down to what you pack :-).
It helps when i've lived out of my bag pack for nearly two years 😂 It's good that you pack lighter with each trip, it's definitely something that comes with practise, you would laugh if you saw what I used to take with me on a two week holiday it was horrendous! 😂

nice video - great 25L pack. I'm using a 25L rolling backpack for a weekend getaway. But the top is not rectangular like yours so I can't put as much stuff in...I had to kook my toiletries bag o the outside -ring.

Thank you! I've done a couple of smaller trips with a minimalist mindset, but I still enjoy checking out other people's approach to it. I have a week-long trip planned for the end of July and I'm doing my best for a 'one backpack' approach. Hopefully my other trips have given me the experience!

How the travel sickness bands work? it's similar to acupressure?
That's exactly right, they use acupressure, they sit on a certain point in your wrist that relieves nausea. 😊
I think you should be okay with 1 or 2 essential oils lol why take 5
Each oil does different things, Lavender & Stress away calm me down when i'm anxious, digeze is a life saver because I have a lot of digestive issues and I use frankincense for meditation and also at this point in my life was experimenting with using lavender and frankincense with my face oil. So I didn't 'need' all 5 but I wanted them with me and they brought joy to my life, so I took them. In one of my latest videos I talk about what minimalism means to me, it might give you a better understanding of my mindset around it. 🙂
