Bamboo is an excellent thing to use for flatware and other kitchen utensils. It is naturally antibacterial. You just have to make sure to care properly for it, and it will care for you! If you like straws, you can get straws made from wheat. Completely com[postable, but wont dissolve in your drink! Lol

Hi! I also used to have the ultralight down jacket from Uniqlo and went vegan. I used the jacket until it finally got a hole in it, and then recently switched to the new micro puff jacket from Patagonia. It folds up just as small as the ultralight down into its own pocket, and Patagonia has developed a new technology called "pluma fill" which is a synthetic down-alternative that keeps you warm even when wet. I'd highly recommend it :)

Hi Fran, thank you so much for sharing this! I've seen the vests from Patagonia on their website, but wasn't sure if they could fold up as small as the Uniqlo does. I know that some Patagonia's products are down free, and that the brand uses recycled materials and tries to be a sustainable company, so I'd be glad to support them. Thanks for your tip, have a lovely day!

I use similar microfiber towels, and the Happy Cow app when traveling as well, both have been life savers. :)

You can download Open Street maps on your phone instead of Google maps. Works without data, at least on my Android. I use the OsmAnd app, but there are many apps using those maps. Street names are usually in the native language, so be aware of that.

Great video Jenny. If you decide to change the jacket I can recommend you to check out The North Face Thermoball Jacket. I have used mine a lot and really like it. 🙂

Well done for going vegan. :)
I have a synthetic "down" (thermoball brand) but I'm gonna be selling it. It doesn't breath well if you're doing sports and it's not stretchy. I'm just going to use a comfy hoodie instead, since the jacket isn't waterproof anyways. And I have a simple lightweight raincoat that I've not had to use yet, but that could go over the hoodie if needed.

I really loved this video! Aah those kanken backpacks are just amazing!! Packing cubes and my Chico bag would be two items that I aaalways take with me when I go places. I too used to have the Uniqlo vest and a coat even and loved it. It's a shame that they don't make them with synthetic filling. I haven't found anything that folds up this small .. my babe just bought one from a UK brand called "rab" and it folds up relatively small and you should be able to get it in Germany. They go on sale when it's warm and he loves it. I've tried it on myself and it's soooo warm!! I have one from REI that I love, it's just that it's from a US outdoor shop. My friend has one from pantagonia .. the ratings on those from rab are better though .. they are much warmer! Hope that helps .. looked into this quite a bit myself and whenever mine breaks down I'd totally go for one from rab .. they only have a handful of items with synthetic filling .. totally worth checking out though!! 😃

I am not sure if they have a vest actually .. my babe bought a jacket from them on Amazon .. it was on sale for a competitive price .. $150 I believe. Either way, worth checking out! There are also websites that compare the warmth, durability etc of jackets like that .. I'd definitely look into those as well before purchasing one as I've found them to be super helpful!! :)

Wow, thank you so much Nina, your comment is really helpful! I've watched your travel essentials video a while back and was intrigued by your jacket, since it has all the requirements I'm looking for: warm, lightweight, compact. I love my Uniqlo vest jacket and I'll continue to use it until I find a better solution for it... it really is a shame that Uniqlo never considered using synthetic down. I think REI is not available in Europe (if I remember correctly, I tried to quickly look for it and didn't find it for the European market), but I'll definitely check Rab out!

Woher hast du dieses türkische Handtuch? Ich suche eins, das man auch gut waschen kann, ohne dass es die Form verliert.

Save the Ducks have a vegan jacket foldable options. They are expensive but I would try Ebay or Poshmark. I love the Lowe bag, I might buy that bag for myself. The Happy Cow app is a huge life saver.

Awesome, thank you so much for the tips! I didn't know about the brand of the jacket so I'll definitely check it out! If you're looking for a new travel bag, I cannot recommend enough this one from Lowe Alpine, definitely worth the investment. Thanks for watching and have a lovely Sunday!! :)

Photograph passport, drivers license. Credit/debit. Insurance cards and visas. If they are stolen you at least have a copy. Adapters for electricity. Photo of any prescriptions too
