The BH in Cobh uses the irish language pronunciation. a bh together makes a V sound - hence Cobh = Cove

The Irish language does not have the letters (j, k, q, v, w, x, y, z) so in Irish, we rely on letter combinations bh to make a V sound as in Cobh it’s pronounced as “Cove” which is the English spelling
