    A few suggestions from someone who has been in this business over 24 years.
    1. Don't buy the largest unit ... I use the 13 hp model .. if you are charging by the hour ... you don't want to get done too fast or do you?
    2. Take that flap off the inlet which damages the hose but, leave the safety cut-off switch in place.
    3. Mount the unit to the front of the dump trailer - fabricate a bracket mount to the trailer frame. That way you can simply dump it quickly without removing the heavy leaf vac each time.

    🤣🤣 "the leaf monster" cute. i bet that gets some attention. sweet setup; let's see if there's any dump footage in here. don't be afraid to drive over some of the piles to get better reach with the hose. i *love* doing leaves, i'm almost sad to see the season ending....i definitely have to step up my leafup promotion next year; we have some extra leafy areas around here 🤔🤔 🤣🤣 just looked up and caught that blooper.

      Attention was our aim with this advertisement. It worked out great! Its going to be our clean up staple and will be on our leaf vacuum rig for many years to come. To dump we simply open the doors and press the button. We strategically mounted the loader so we could still dump.

    Found out it does shred. You should probably find a place that sells natural fertilizer. I’m pretty sure they would pay or at least let you dump for free at their place. If I had more land I would get me one of these and and some cow poop and coffee grounds and sell high end organic fertilizer. Seems like you could do it if you had a little bit of land.

    • @nickenslandscapingexcavating

    Sick Rig! Gotta quick question: When you do curbside pickups for people, and when they put the leaves on the grass, do you rake it all off and blow off grass with blower? Or do you strictly just suck it up with the vac? I always blow it off and then grab the extra debris, just wondering what other people do.

    Do you use a tow strap to fasten the hose to the impeller housing or is that a clamp? I have the 18hp Billy Goat. I don’t feel like there’s much room for the hose to slide onto the housing before you hit the safety switch. I wonder if a shortened tow strap would hold the hose on better than a clamp.

    I like that Billygoat loader. I want one for my dump trailer. I have other Billygoat products and I like their quality. Any idea what the retail is? I need to get one soon.

    Looks like an awesome machine. And I’m glad to see it handle pine needles so well. Is there any issues with pine cones? I didn’t see any pine cones in your pile. Did you separate them before piling them up or can the machine mulch up pine cones?

    • @nickenslandscapingexcavating
      @nickenslandscapingexcavating  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We don’t get to many pine cones around here but the ones we have come across it sucks them up no problem. It sucks up full piles of gumball’s if that gives you an idea of what it can do.

      You mean the liquidambar seed pods? That’s incredible! I’ve been wanting to buy a machine like this. Hey thanks for the quick reply.

    Have you used it on super wet leaf piles? How does it handle? We have the 18hp unit and it clogs bad with wet leaves.

    • @nickenslandscapingexcavating
      @nickenslandscapingexcavating  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That is why we upgraded as well. We had a new 18 hp unit prior and it would clog. This one is pretty much impossible to clog unless sticks get stuck in the suction tube

    Great video. You guys really need to either throw some vests on or get some hi viz clothing when working in the public right of way though. OSHA does NOT like anyone being in the roadway without some sort of hi viz/reflective clothing on. And obviously above all you want to be safe and come home at the end of the day. Be safe out there!

    • @nickenslandscapingexcavating
      @nickenslandscapingexcavating  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for pointing that out! We have talked multiple times about having vests made and its one of those things i just haven't followed through with.. I need to do so asap! Thanks again! Safety first.

    What kind of tarp is on top mesh or solid? And from where? Can you show how you mounted the machine to trailer also

    • @n.johann3417
      @n.johann3417 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I'd assume it's mesh. I have been running one on my 7 X 14 trailer from harbor freight for two seasons and it's holding up great.

    • @nickenslandscapingexcavating
      @nickenslandscapingexcavating  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We run a Mesh tarp as Johann commented below. We ordered ours from Amazon. In our previous video when we built our box we show the mount prior to installing the loader.

    How does it do with wet debris and wondering if the larger diameter hose effects any suction? I'm debating between an 18HP or this model

    • @nickenslandscapingexcavating
      @nickenslandscapingexcavating  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It will suck up leaves while it’s raining. This vac is a beast. Don’t waste your time with the 18hp model. It will leave you frustrated. We upgraded from the 18hp to this

    We are in the market. We have a new 6x12 standard duty sure trac dump trailer. We are deciding between 18 hp Billy goat and 37 hp but we are worried about weight. We mostly do residential, what is your opinion?

  • @markerickson4011

    do you find it heavy for the back of the trailer...was thinking of mounting it to the front

    • @nickenslandscapingexcavating
      @nickenslandscapingexcavating  ปีที่แล้ว

      No it works great. Get a good welder to beef up your gate and build your bracket and you’re good. This vac only weighs about 500 lbs. when it comes to weld strength that is extremely light

  • @scottcronan4316
    @scottcronan4316 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    How do you have it mounted to the back of the trailer ? Is it mounted to the door? I have my 18hp on my door but its half the weight of the 37hp

    • @nickenslandscapingexcavating
      @nickenslandscapingexcavating  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it’s on the door. This unit weighs 500 lbs. When it comes to weld strength that is very light

    Awesome job! I have never seen this method before... I'm right outside of Atlanta, Ga... I have my guys continuously blow the leaves into open areas...while I continuously mulch the leaves up with my zero turn. When we leave there isn't hardly a trace of a leaf left...while also not having to worry about dumping leaves once the job is done. The mower also gives the yard that freshly vacuumed look.

  • @robertobrien2050
    @robertobrien2050 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Does it mulch the leaves also so you can load more on trailer.

    I am looking to get the 18hp with the 10" hose. What is your opinion on that? If you said I wasn't paying attention lol

    • @ICU-th7qj
      @ICU-th7qj 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I do not do leaves everyday all day. I have about 6 yards I clean and do not want to take on more then 10 or 12. I do alot of other work but blowing leafs and packing up by hand just sucks.

    • @nickenslandscapingexcavating
      @nickenslandscapingexcavating  ปีที่แล้ว

      I would get the bigger vac. This vac (14” hose) will suck up a pile 3x as fast as a 10” hose. A lot of time savings with larger vacs. We have had a couple 10” vas with 16-18 hp engines.
