I have gone to all five boroughs of New York City To Metal Detect and beyond. I also currently own 16 metal detectors. I want to have the best and I want to help you choose the best as well. I am a treasure hunter. So in addition to metal detecting, I go mudlarking at sites such as Dead Horse Bay. Think of mudlarking as metal detecting without a metal detector.

My most important series is called Becoming A Millionaire Metal Detecting. I am trying to monetize my favorite hobby in order to do it more in the future. In other words, we put the clad we find in the ground, affiliate earnings, and merchandise earnings in to the stock market and we invest it. This show started in January 2019.

The Bull Is from a Western Style "Bollo Tie". A leather cord slips through it and around the neck
Cowboy bolo tie , awesome hunt merrill !! 👍👍🇺🇸
Definitely a day to remember! That bull BOLO Tie slide was cool too!
YOU ARE DA MAN Merrill ! Fantastic recovery from the live stream. And yeah, that bull is for a western style bolo ...
That pepper is an Italian horn. Cornicello
A cornicello, cornetto, corno, or corno portafortuna is an Italian amulet or talisman worn to protect against the evil eye and bad luck in general, and, historically, to promote fertility and virility. In Neapolitan, it is called curniciello or variants thereof. The amulet is also sometimes referred to as the Italian horn.
Bet the chain is there too
Congratulations Merrill, great finds. You never know , the next time you go to this park it could be even better.

Hey....did something happen to Merrill?....its been 2 months since he did a video
Holy Crap Dude! what a day! Congrats.
Unbelievable!!!!!! What a hunt!!!! Excelente y más allá!!!
Thank you Ayda!
What a great day thanks for linking this in June 2023
Congrats!!! Very inspiring!! Can’t wait to see what else you guys pull!
The data entry at the end reminded me of Doogie Howser, hearing the key strokes 😂
If the land is next to a river, the pebbles could very likely be carried in during floods. I find this to be the case quite often where I hunt in the country. That said - AMAZING silver day - congrats to you and Jeff.
Hey Merrill great video and great production I don't know why this doesn't have at least 100,000 hits. What a treasure to find a park that hasn't been hit by other detectorists. For me personally I don't clean the old copper up too much just with a little water on my finger right away before it drys out completely. Rubi it firmly in circles, round and round until details start to show through and leave the dirt encrusted in the detail and put a little tiny amount of black shoe polish on your finger and apply it just a little at a time rubbing the surface which brings out the detail . Put the shoe polish on the end of your finger where you can barely see iit. I do the application about three different times.rubbing it modestly . Great hits on that 1846 and Vermont copper and other goodies.
Wow thats a great tip with the shoe polish! Thank you!
Congrats Merrill, that was a dream hunt keep it up!
Along with the great informative aspect and entertainment it is fun to see him geek out hahaha
Hey great dig!!! Don't forget to add 2 pcs to the spread sheet for coins from the 1700's.
I greatly admire your persistence , Merrill !
You need to carry a small magnifying glass .
Great finds, Merrill!!
The dirt was dredged!
Congrats
Great day
Keep diggin' n having fun
Happy days
WOW what an amazing hunt!!!! Can't wait to find my 1st reale Congratulations on the Matron Head Cent and an awesome hunt Merrill
Thank you Fernando!
Congratulations! What a great day!
That was an amazing day! Congrats! The reale alone was a great find
Edit: came back 2 years later to make sure that I didn't miss this one 😂❤
I’m eagerly looking forward to this video!
Holy Fluffin Muffin! Bat Man! Not a single Stinkin Zincin! Awesome hunt. Congrats on finds!
Wow!! Vermont Copper!! Now that is something special...I am wearing my Vermont 1791 t-shirt today...was born + raised there 😁😁😁
Good lord! Finding a state copper is incredibly rare. People have actually written books about the coppers that have been found.
What an epic day 👍👍🇬🇷
Great stuff Merrill, but you know with all those pull tabs being pulled out of the ground, well, pull tabs may become a rare item, don't laugh! but with little to no value. Merrill, on that bull's head item that you found may have gone to an old-time cowboys' shirt tie. This was one of your more enriching episodes ever, all that hard work is paying off! WOW! Merrill, with all of the silver, the ring, you must of had snacks by the stacks. Thanks, Merrill, for tipping me off to this classic episode, that was fun! Rap onward my wayward son... Signed, Greg the Egg.
Lovely finds, good job Merrill.
Sweet looking scarf slide! (Long Horn bull)
Thank you so much!
I saw where you posted that Vt copper to I'd me and Chris Tanner nailed as usual ( he's awesome) I was wondering when you were going to drop the video. Freaking awesome day!!!!
Very very appreciative of yours and Chris’ help!
Great day! I got one just small unidentifiable copper yesterday. On your surpises column, would be good to stick in the dates, even if it's hidden from us to then see how frequently they happen over the year.
Wow man the silver slayer, love the video, Norcal Detecting
Awesome video man!
Good grief, you killed it!!!!
Hi Merrill
Amazing discoveries, congratulations !!!
Is it a coincidence that the title of this video is written in Polish ???
Greetings from Poland, ALONE POMORZE!
I’ve been trying to translate all of my videos to multiple languages! Captions are also available in Polish! 😊
GO GO GO!
32:56 I found a lead fishing net weight in the middle of a city under a playground. I found out later that in the 1800's there was a canal that passed through. Union canal, Lebanon Pa
nice finds,,
The Silver carrot is actually called the " Horn of Plenty " pendant. 😀.
Wow.....what a find
Nice find!!
Beautiful finds Merr
Incredible hunt, congrats.
Love them all.
19:05- Stop Rubbing Merrill!!!!
Haha I agree my crotch hurts when you do that Merrill just kick my twig and berries haha
The new magic field fills us all with happiness... until you rap once too often!! Just saying!
Great finds... please leave something in the ground for when I come visit... that's if you'll take me with! But then, you can always leave me to play in your Wheatie tub... I'll be happy there too! 🤣👍😁
Lol!
Awesome video Merrill 👍👍🇺🇲🙏
Nice Reale!! :) Gratz
My top tip. Less adds leads to more subscribers
Epic hunt
Great video glad you found a new park. Also where did you get that coil stiffener for the 15 inch coil?
Merrill, congrats on the hunting day of a lifetime! The Reale in itself would be a lifetime for me. That had to have been dropped within a year of minting.
Awesome hunt! That reale is in great shape. I’m wondering if you're searching fill dirt or is it native soil that has been turned over. It may be worth digging (pun intended) further into the history and background of the park to find some clues. In either case, your new magic park may have some exciting tricks left to discover.
sweet
There's probably park rangers all over nyc trying to figure out who keeps digging holes in the parks.
We have a permit system in NY
How much is the permit and can you get one for a day and if so how much??
@ Green Mountain Metal Detecting 40:52 Y'all should be friends lol
magical video :) stunning reale Merrill way to go :)
I'd bet the fill was brought in from a river or lake. Perhaps a crossing area or camp site. Just "what if"n. Congrats on a great day.
That's a steer, and it's a bolo tie or ascot slide
Wow what awesome finds! You’re lucky and deserve it!! What’s the best way to clean valuable old copper and silver?
Copper is very difficult . Ive tumbled, used Andre's Crayons, done electrolysis, bathed the item in olive oil. None of these is perfect. For silver watch this: th-cam.com/video/lvV2k9VnLtc/w-d-xo.html
@@MetalDetectingNYC thanks so much!
Ur my favorite MD channel love your originality and information!
Yes!!!!!
Sweet hunt Merrill, Congrats on another Spanish ( ; Almost said omg as much as I do during my vids, lolzzz, Look forward to seeing what else you find out of there. HH and take care
Bolo tie holder? Bull
Big Copper=Jalapeño Poppers
Great 👍 Spanish 1746 coin Merrill Dig On!
brush and spray bottle in car glad you came prepared..
I would love to find coins like that,,,,Nice,,,,
The Bull was probably on a Bolo tie or a bandana
The bull looks like a scarf holder
Rubs the dirt on a reale, and then says 'I know, stop rubbing it'. Then rubs it some more!
Hello hunter
Hello!
Great video. Is historic aerials a paid sight? I’m trying to figure out how to use it to see what was on our farm land in eastern Long Island
It’s free: directions in this video th-cam.com/video/lAQRDTxl6lk/w-d-xo.html
Thanks for the link. That had a lot of helpful information in it.
Hey Merrill, fantastic finds dude!!! Wow!!! What is that fb ID site, the things I found looked more for identifying lost people etc ;-p
It’s called ID Me
I have the Equinox with 11 inch coil, do you suggest getting a bigger or smaller coil?
Green mountain metal detecting would love to have that Vermont copper coin that's his favorite you should show it to him Merrill he would flip out good 👍
The bayonet you find I killed my brother
The bull is a bolo tie fastener
I found an 1822 this weekend in the salt water
Vermont Copper could be worth several hundred dollars . Condition not bad .
The bull is to hold a leather cowboy necktie together.
been on netr 12 yrs
Bull is a tie clasp.
Maybe the bull is a boy scout neckerchief slide? Congrats and all the old coins today!
