I spent the entire year of 1946 in Vienna, as an American soldier in the Army. I have been back there several times.Wonderful city and it has been that way for 77 years. Wish I could return there one more time, but worry about the long trip at 95 years of age

A recommendation for guests. Dont spare 3 seconds for Votivkirche like in this video. Its amazing achitecture. Is equal or better than St. Stephen's Cathedral about visual pleasure. And votiv has a nearby park for sitting and watching its amazing architecture. Not closely surrounded by apartments like St. Stephens or most of them. Buy yourself an aperol spritz and enjoy it at the Sigmund Freud Park.
