The damage is done for the next 6-7 years. Too many young players on long contracts and very expensive transfer fees installments. The next owner will have his hands tied behind his back, this is not an attractive club anymore.

Pochettino was doing a good job, the team finally started to do better and they decide to let him go? I don't think Chelsea will be winning any trophies as long as this nonsense goes on.

Moronic decision from the arrogant and clueless ownership group and sporting directors - Pochettino had finally got the team performing despite being handed an unbalanced squad of inexperienced players who were mostly new to the club and the most injuries in the league by a distance. The players also clearly love him. How are they going to feel when some inexperienced, unqualified yes man comes in to replace Poch? That's obviously what the owners and SDs are looking for seeing as they seem unwilling to hand over any sort of control in terms of signings or player sales.

Emeri is not an "unbelievably elite" manager what are you talking about? Pep is about the only manager that fits that description and losing your last game 5-0 is about as far from elite as you can get.

Lol you need to calm down. Absolutely nothing to worry about. Blowing things way out of proportion. Chelsea are a rich club. Which means they'll eventually be very "successful". Might be next year, might be in 5 years. But it will eventually happen.

@@SchnitzelCFC Many. But they'll also be successful. They've won a few trophies after Sir Alex. Not the league, but nowadays if you win any trophy, it is classed as a success as only one or two teams win a trophy every year. Took Arsenal long enough. But they're challenging, returned to champo league. They're still considered a very big club. Teams, including Chelsea went through decades without a trophy. You have to remember, unlike other leagues, the premier League has several teams with the same goal of challenging for the league and big trophies. Simply impossible for all of them to challenge season after season. A few of them will have below par seasons every other season. It's Chelsea's turn to have one, and others to shine. Chelsea will be up there again. Impossible for them not to be with the money power and location.
Managers and players will want to join regardless if they're in Europe or not. Success will come. A matter of when not if.
