Today only I found out that
Hindi song “ so gaya ye jahan “ so gaya aasman “ is copied from the song “ k ladi Kanmani paadagun sangadhi “ of illayaraja .
Not just that. Payalein chun mun, Dhak dhak, Saathiya thune kya kiya, Neele neele ambar par etc. - ALL are copied/heavy adaptation of Maestro Ilayaraja's music. Anand-Milind openly said they are not ashamed to copy from their idol! Ajay-Atul consider Ilayaraja as demi-God. Naushadji said "There is so much to learn from this man". RDB after listening to his 1982 song said "Ilayaraja is ahead of us all by 10 years". Salil da looked at the young guitarist in his troupe and said "He will be the greatest composer of India". Ilayaraja is also the FIRST ASIAN (probably the only Asian) to compose a Complete Symphony.
