Love the kids space! Also, you should start dating your sketches. It’s amazing to see the ones that have come to life! You could frame and hang the one of the cut flower area in your new shed. Thanks for taking us on the journey. I’m sure a countless number of people have been inspired to get their hands in the dirt because of your channel. 🌳🌸🪴

In our children’s garden we have some large plain stepping stones for doing chalk art. We also have 12”x12” plain pavers laid out for hopscotch. We have a designated area for fairy garden building with a large tote of fairy garden stuff.

My grandfather would carve the names of my siblings and cousins into the pumpkin when it small and as it grew our names grew with it. What a joy it was looking for our Halloween pumpkin! Aaron, hooray for you for planting more trees and what a good idea to place them where you did. It'll be such a wonderful backdrop and will add cooling greenness and shade to your many hot days. Thank you for filming the process for us and I chuckled at your comment of slipping out with the trees from the family business and having to go back to pay for them. I look forward to seeing Benjamin and Samantha Grace enjoying being out in their very own space in the garden. They can spend time out there in their own place while you are nearby working and taking a lemonade break to spend time with them and the Magical area. The plantings will seem so very tall to their short little bodies compared to the adults. Thank you Laura for your creativity and hard work.

I have a wedding coming in September in my small formal yard area and have flower beds bordering it. I tried to grow iris in there, but the slugs (I live in Washington State) just decimate them., so now I'm thinking I can plant a lot of flower seeds in there and hopefully get some color later this summer and fall. Fingers crossed!

Not only terrific for the bees which would help pollinate those fruit trees, but the scent would be nice to enjoy whether in the orchard or the Garden Shed. I believe the clover also fixes nitrogen in the soil. Great idea Nils S.

Kids need something to do. Sitting on a bench will soon get old.

What a fabulous idea. To make a kid’s space for Benjamin and Samantha Grace it’s going to be awesome. This will help cement their love of gardening.🌸🌺😃👍

Thank you for being such an inspiration!! I need to get a notebook like that and start on our acres. We have 4.7 acres with in has the house right in the middle and a stand of oaks on either side. We fenced off the back h huge yard. From the road into the driveway its shaped like a V , where you drive into the bottom of the V, park like on each side until the grass on each side then the house. Getting prepared to retire in a couple years, and really love your black raised beds and cut flower garden. I only have time right now for a tiny area right in front of the front door and garage that’s shaped like a triangle. I’m experimenting this year with some black hollyhock, amaranth and mainly kitchen garden in that area. I planted 2 peonies last year and they had the most beautiful baby pink blooms! I’m in love with peonies and ronunculas which I don’t have yet. Love your channel and just know y’all are super inspiring and fun! God bless!! And thanks for sharing !!

You amaze me. I love gardens of all kinds. You inspire me. I have a small patio garden outside my living room glass slider door. At my age, stepping out there each morning is like a beautiful gift. Thanks for showing us what we can do even in a small space.

Always interesting. Always intriguing. I really like the way you keep some plantings the same... But also add a new demention ... Like a kid's area. Sitting and allowing for Kids wander and adventure. And -yes- love the new trees.

To use your words, Laura ... Oh. My. Word. THIS might be my favorite video of all time! Aaron doing his tree thing and you planting zinnias along with the conversation between you too. Bliss!!! Then you shared your "mind's eye" with us all with your sketches. Yes, this is my favorite video. Perfection. I cannot wait to see the new kid's maze garden. Also, I LOVE the idea of the long tunnel of roses in the back or wherever that was. I love your beautiful mind, Laura! Yes, perfection. Thank you!

I know everyone talks about how they enjoy their morning coffee with you while they wake up but I'm a 3rd shift worker and your videos are a wind down reward for me. I get home and when I get all my daily chores done THEN and only then do I get to put on my pjs and watch GA. thank you so much for being a relaxing place in this chaotic world. It really is a gift. Also Aaron giggling about stealing trees made me laugh 😂

What a great few projects!! Loved seeing the video of Aaron’s project too!! Can’t wait to see the kids garden transform over coming weeks!! You could hang some bright multicoloured solar festoon party lights to add some extra fun for when you’re doing your evening stroll around the grounds.

Hi Laura, just to say how much I adore your vlogs! I watch a vlog from a Turkish family and they plant their pumpkins and watermelons by a babbling brook and they never have to water them! Oh to live by a babbling brook 😀

Loving the layout. I have to admit you're the most glamorous gardener haha the first thing I do when going in the garden is to slap my hair up and way I can so it's out of my way and I'm always in what I call garden clothes, a raggy pair of pants and top haha 😄

I get a kick watching Aaron enjoying trees and isn't it great to have a strong man who loves that kind of work?! I was wondering, though, if the Maples are too close to the fence. I've had lots of fencing pushed apart with growing tree trunks.

The kids garden will be so much fun. You can grow squash and melons up the cattle panels too. They just need a little tying to start them off.

I saw where Drip Depot had some end caps with finger pulls. Wonder if you put those on the end of your drip tape and used a landscape staple, probably a longer one, or a piece of rebar, turned over on one end and secured the end of the tape. Would make for a cleaner look. ☺️☺️

I can’t wait to see the kid’s garden when it’s complete. It’s going to be magical. Have you thought about dedicating a portion of your cut garden to perennial cut flowers like peonies for example?
