Yea about 2 years ago I took my dads truck to a truck show after it went to the mechanic shop, the front driver rim flew completely off going 65mph and bearing right, I was in a 06 6.0 37in tires 8inch lift, I held the wheel and slowed down slowly while pulling over. Tow truck driver said if I overreacted like 9/10 people I would’ve flipped and rolled about 8 times prolly dying and killing someone else.
Honestly might’ve been lucky that the driver side blew out, as opposed to passenger-side which might have sent you into the ditch. Can’t imagine a beast like that is easy to recover from off-road😮

I'm pretty sure I'm late to this party, but am I the only one that notices how obviously low on air the front tires were when he was pulling out of the seller's driveway? This is why you bring a battery jumper, tire inflator, and at least a set of basic tools along whenever you go to buy a private sale car.

I'd keep it and throw on a wise fab angle kit for the steering to get that sharper turning angle. Hellcat swap that piece or disel swap it and turn it into a beast. Offroad suspension and wheels

Easiest way to see how old tires are is to check the dot number on the tire. The last four digits are when it was made. If it says 1207 then that means it was made on the 12th week of 2007.

I drive semi for a living and I've had blow outs before on drive tires and trailer tires. One night 2 am in ohio in the winter I blew a driver side steer tire at 70 mph and it's not a good feeling. luckily road was dry and that late no one was on the highway beside me.
I too had a tire incident on the Turnpike 3 years ago, with a customers car, tire went flat, I pull over and stop and then I watch the tire rip off and go rolling down the shoulder. and the car was riding fine prior, no tire light came on till last minute

I was on the turnpike coming back from Philly in the passing lane doing 80 and the right front just completely blew out! It felt like something broke in the front end. it just dropped immediately. This was in a F250. Tire was shredded, damaged the fender, the door, and ripped the factory step-board in half. Luckily I was able to make it to the shoulder and not hit anything or anyone. I truly know how scary it is.
