Tim is someone to best avoid. He uses RV living as part of his con to beg for money. He doesn't know much about RV's at all. In fact, if you watch a few minutes of him you'll realize you should probably just do the opposite of whatever he does.
Tim's videos came into my feed while I was researching taking Social security early. He encourages everybody to take early SS but if you are healthy enough to work you can get more money at FRA or age 70 if you keep working. Everyone has different priorities. I commented to him that he should tell people all the advantages and disadvantages if he is dispensing advice. He bluntly said he will continue his message. He is all about the clicks. I stopped watching his videos.

The big interest in Tim started because he was pushing for people to start taking Social Security at 62, like him, without any pension or savings and just plan on working part time for the rest of your life. At first he had a job handing out samples and then his channel took off so he quit doing that. Then he shared that he got two PPP loans, unemployment AND an EIDL loan during covid. No one was entitled to all 3 and it looks like he used the EIDL loan to pay off a personal car loan and buy a camper to live in - not allowed by the SBA. In addition to that, he had a girlfriend he treated badly, he shared personal information about family & friends, says he’s a minimalist but has weird spending habits. And then he started doing devotionals using a book that apparently is very controversial. Tip of the iceberg with him. My recommendation: don’t waste your time watching him. He’s very repetitive and boring.
Oh wow. I saw the social security thing but it just seemed disoroporiate for how his name was everywhere. I see there are multiple factors. Thanks for filling in some info. I just felt like it's all I've been seeing lately!!!

He was opening up the slide outs in a truck stop taking up other RV spaces without care. Tim is a good example of someone who had a great opportunity with his channel to help people, but what appears to be a self destructive personality has ruined it.
I always talk about something when I car camp but I got sick of talking about myself and he popped into my head because my feed is literally inundated with ST content! I thought no one would watch this one actually because of so much saturation on the topic.
You may like Sarasota Tim's channel. He is very knowlegeable in many ways. the world is full of negative and evil nasty people that attack Tim. Although there are many nice and caring people, Tim is definitly one of the nice and caring. Tim is a good way to escape the worlds evil BS .

@@MoneySavingVideos He's likely paying it off! Those minimum payment on those EIDL loans is only $50 per each 10K borrowed per mo.! Of course, it might take 30 years to pay off! The only thing fraudulent is if he used the disbursement money to buy his 4Runner, as the rules stated you could only use the funds for working capital, i.e. existing overheard. That 4Runner would've been a capital expense, not working capital. But nobody really knows how Tim got that 4runner. Maybe he had savings. Or got an inheritance. It's all just speculation on the internet! 😄 Besides, the IRS would've already gone after him by now. The 3-year window of being required to save all receipts of what you purchased has expired. Those receipts can be legally thrown out now!

Well as always I appreciate seeing your adventures and life, and that does include (especially so) the spontaneous and unplanned things. Seeing your car in it's non-camper form was special. It's a sort of peek behind the scenes like you might see in the extras or making of sections of a dvd or blu ray. I like that more than scripted and practiced things personally. The call of exploring, camping and adventuring is very, very strong. There's nothing wrong with answering it by going out, even if it's just to rest. Your lifestyle is your Zen Zone, you are happy and comforted doing this, so why not do it without apology and enjoy every second when the feeling hits? You are lucky to be able to live in a way that brings you peace like this. I've never heard of Sarasota Whoever, although I suspect from algorithms I probably will soon. It is fun to come up with a name based on your city which sounds adventurous, Like Indiana Jones or Durango. The name doesn't make the advice or the things you're seeing reasonable or a good idea though. From what I've read in your comments (so I am speaking without direct knowledge here) he sounds like someone who may be showing people clever ways to take advantage or get around the system. I would prefer to simply follow someone like you, who does her best, works hard, and is genuine.
