Wickenburg, AZ Box Wash Vulture Peak Free BLM Camping

This video describes how to get to Free Camping just a few miles west of Wickenburg, AZ. The first site is actually AZ State Trust Land and you need a permit. The next site is Box Canyon and is a free 14 day BLM camping area. This desert is outrageous! Cell service is a bit spotty in the BLM area.

Box Wash has been destroyed by the county. Now you'll have to pay at the new county park.

after you get there what is there to do? I mean you wake up in the morning what is there to do? how many sunsets does somebody want to watch? I don't get it

This is a beautiful desert area. If you don't like to hike, walk, bird watch, explore new plant habitats, etc you might not like the area. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I WAS THERE 2 or 3 yrs ago , and construction going on i heard it would be closed to camping by now been back lately? still free ? been stuck up north 2 winters , but i did a FINE painting there and want to see if it's a waste to drive in maybe head west of there a few miles?
