    We used to go quail hunting out there in the 70's and 80's, spend the entire weekend and not see another vehicle or person... how times have changed.

    Looked like fun. There are four of us guys each with are own jeep. We always go out in a group or never less than two of us. We have rescued several people from the desert over the years. Some high centered some broken down or just plane lost. You look like you know what you are doing but I'd rather have another Jeep along just in case. Safe wheeling!!!

      @desertmaverick7567 I agree with you 100% . We definitely prefer going out with others because there is always a change that something unplanned can happen. Numbers and redundancy of resources certainly increase the safety margin. Unfortunately, sometimes we just can't find anyone to come along for the ride. On those trips, we do our very best to provide for the safest outing possible. We go out in both our Jeep and UTV, and always carry a full tool set, batteries, extra gear, winch/recovery gear, food, water, first aid, multiple navigation aids, and satellite communications. Not perfect, but we do the best we can to stay safe.

    Great video, I've made that ride several times and love it. Thanks for sharing and excellent directions for this ride.

    What a fun trip! Y’all went into that cave and I’m sitting here yelling at my phone “omg, omg, oh nooo... don’t you go down that tunnel!” Thanks for letting me come along on the trip.

      I know it's such a bad idea, but my girl is the adventurous type. I got her out of there as soon as I could!

      Oh don’t get me wrong... I’d do it too if my claustrophobia would let me. When you turned the light out, I would have died right there 😂😂😂

    I found a cave/abandoned mine in box canyon this morning. First ever opened up to a huge room. Didnt know there was multiples of these things. This trail area is seriously one of my favorite trails.

    6:10 The GPS location identifies that as the "Mistake Mine".

    Remove your front sway bar to make your ride quality better. It will allow the front end to flex more and make it no so bumpy

      That's a great tip. It really does make a big difference in ride quality without that sway bar bucking back and forth.

    Crash helmets?

    • @mikes7995
      @mikes7995  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We don't have a windshield on our rig. So, the occasional whipping tree branch or flying rock can be a little uncomfortable when it slaps you in the head. That's why we sometimes wear helmets.

    Hey just watched your video great job! Do you by chance have your trail mapped out on a put on a trail app that you could possibly posthat you could possibly post or send to me if I give you my phone number or my email address. We would love to try that trail out maybe this Sunday. Thanks so much. Randy

      Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I have uploaded the route recoding from that day to Google Maps. Here is a link to that map: www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/edit?mid=18qRFgbnGsqs6PrtBOpD155yZx8qDRGGE&usp=sharing
      You should be able to download as a GPX or KML file from there to load into whatever mapping software you prefer. Obviously, conditions could have changed since I was last there. So, always be prepared and cautious.
      It really is a beautiful area to explore with many more roads that we have yet to try. Enjoy!
