    i asked a statistician friend of mine at MIT to calculate the odds of 3 double-yolkers in a row and he ran the numbers and it came back; 1 in 65,738,993,062,222,905,656,778,191,104,305 give or take.

      One of my first times getting thrown on a motorcycle was riding in a cow trail similar to that one. Ever since I've ridden to the side of them. They chock up your turn radius, and have a tendency to "trip" your steering. Anybody who tries riding in one for any length will get an understanding of what I'm talking about.

    That is such a beautiful spot Mark. I did not get over there when I was out in Arizona in 2017. I'll certainly keep those coordinates you put in the video and maybe make it out there next year. I spent four months traveling and camping in New Mexico and Arizona and still did not see that area. That's why I need to go back out there so much in both of those states that I want to see. I don't have my little travel trailer anymore. Due to finances and hospital bills I had to sell it and the big truck. so now I tent camp out of a small car. But I still love it and plan on going more. I did purchase a really good all season Kodiak tent. Thanks again for your hard work. As usual you always do such a beautiful job with your videos. If this pandemic winds down some I plan to spend all of the winter months out there again next winter. Already it's too damn cold here in East Tennessee. You please stay safe and stay healthy. Thank you so much for sharing this.

Maybe a little slower and out of breath climbing an elevation but I make it. I think I'm doing pretty good at 71 Going on 30. I've still got a hell of a lot that I want to do. So I need to hang around a hell of a long time. I'm lucky. I've had a wonderful life. My farm and home is paid for and I've had the wonderful chance to see lots of the world. I've lived in India working in Africa and lived in Nepal. Lots of chances to hike and explore years ago. I've stayed at Burro Creek twice. It's beautiful. It's a BLM fee campground. Apparently the fee has gone up to $14/night. I think it was $10 a few years ago, and I have the Senior NP Pass so half off. I remember seeing a vehicle or two parked on the left side of 1.25 mile approach road one time. Since it's BLM land I'm thinking they boondocked there for free since they weren't in the campground. Might need a high clearance vehicle to go off the road. It's been a few years but I'd like to go back. The bridge is beautiful but you can definitely hear it when a vehicle goes over it.

      @@DispersedCamperMan Double yolks used to be rare, but when the "egg factory" chickens don't lay, it's just like when a woman has trouble getting pregnant. They give them hormones to produce more eggs. People with no history of twins in their families "miraculously" have twins... Or triplets... Or octo-mom 😂 I've had chickens all my life, I've only had a double yolker twice. I'm sorta grossed out by store bought eggs, ya just don't know what the chickens have been fed, drank or injected with. Sorry for the long comment, just felt like sharing the knowledge. I do love hearing the coyotes long, rising and falling song in the dead of the night. Pretty cool sounding. I'm really looking forward to see my first rattle snake here in the desert. I do believe they are hibernating now, but I'm always on the look out for them. The desert is very much alive! And very beautiful if you know what to look for.

      @@DispersedCamperMan That's for sure... especially when they are "playing games". I was stationed on Kadena A.B., Okinawa Japan twice (fighters) and Griffiss AFB in Rome, NY (Bombers), plus a few in Korea that don't exist. Wintering down in Florida now. There is a range around 12 miles the way the crow flies away from me. I'm right on the afterburner run in. EVERYBODY (Air Force, Navy, Marines) comes here to play on the weekends. When they are practicing with the bunker busters, they shake the ground hard all the way over here :)
      As for rattlers... as long as they leave me alone and stay away from my camp... fine. Otherwise, they will be introduced to my 'little friend'.. a 3" barrel 44Mag with snakeshot :) It's always on my right side in a cross-draw holster (left-handed). The left side is taken up with a 9mm. I'm ready for any four (or two) legged problem, or one that slithers. If there's one thing I learned in the military... always be prepared. And when I hike, it's in jeans and boots... and I know the areas to watch out for. My buddy says all I need is dual ammo belts across my chest and I'd look like an 'el bandito' in a Spaghetti Western!!!

    I have the exact same '18 Rally. 365# is just too heavy for riding MI forests and even unloading, I've been pushing it up ramp, but going to have to try using throtle. The bike 1st gear is too low(slow) and 2nd gear is too (high)fast for forest 2 tracks. I'm going to trade to the new Honda Trail 125. I have less than 600 miles on Rally, had a recall for transmission circlip right after I bought it. New to your channel, I've a sister in Rogers, AR, hope to check it out this Spring. Disperse is the only way to fly. Campgrounds are FULL! Cheers!

    • @DispersedCamperMan
      @DispersedCamperMan  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It sounds like the 125 would be ideal for your type of riding. I couldn't believe the dealership had not already fixed the Circlip prior to me buying it. Like you, I got the recall a couple of months after purchase, and of course I was out of state when I got it. Now I know to ask prior to buying to see if there are any recalls on a bike prior to purchasing. I swapped out my rear sprocket from a 40T to a 42T and noticed a gain in power in all gears. Especially first gear. I was glad I did it. I don't stall out in first gear any more. I also don't have to down shift going up hills in high gear as often either since the swap. Rogers, AR is close to the Ozark National Forest. Lots of trail riding there. Good luck with your new purchase!

      It was definitely a beautiful spot. I don't think you will have any problems with your Caravan. I saw all types of trucks/cars there. Class A, B, C's and travel trailers, fifth wheels parked at that location. The dirt road in was good, a couple of wash board areas, just take it slow. You need to also be mindful during the rainy season. You probably don't want to be caught out there when it starts to raining a lot.

      I sometimes talk with folks camping out. But with this COVID thing still out in full force, I don't talk to folks as much. Majority of folks are very friendly and want to strike up a conversation. At Ironwood Forest National Monument a fellow RVer was walking by on the road, saw me outside, walked up and we carried on a three hour conversation. LOL We did keep our distance and we just shared stories of where we've been and where we were headed. Get the motorcycle, I've only been riding for almost 2 years. I love it. I also highly suggest taking a motorcycle safety class prior to purchasing if you don't have any experience. It's what I did.
