A few seasons back I remember going on an away day to Bury with Charlton. The bury fans were so nice to us and were very welcoming. It was one of my favourite away days ever. It’s so sad to see:(
This should be a wakeup call to the EFL, EPL and the FA. But sadly I don't think it has been. Reforms and safe guards should be put in place from preventing this from happening again because this could happen to any club in England minus a few of the very biggest teams. There are rules on preserve historic buildings and landmarks and other items. Why are there not on football teams?
Money corruptes. In Germany we have the 50+1 rule that makes it impossible for investors to own whole clubs. Needless to say, several club-bosses, investors or the higher-ups at the DFB started talking about getting it abolished.
Poor Effort, This could have been allot better. Not once did they go into why the club folded, all that was said was that the finances were mismanaged. To anyone not into football or who followed the Bury story over the last few years wont have a clue of the cause watching this
Crazy how these documentaries likes these are coming out so soon after the event. Great that that is happening and spreading information and word as fast as possible. FA should’ve immediately supported finically, and let them fall. Respect Burys historic background. Imagine if this happened to your club.
The production on this is beautiful, such a tragic story. Hard to watch really but as a football fan I'm hoping all the best for the future of Bury FC.
Bury and Bolton deserved more from from the EFL it’s an absolute joke that they were allowed to fall to pieces at the hands of useless owners. Luckily Bolton were saved but this should still never be forgotten to prevent any other clubs being torn apart. You deserved more than this Bury fans. RIP BURY FC
Football is a business now, I cannot imagine of devastating it is now the club is no longer in the football league, the epl needs to share the wealthy with other football leagues to help the smaller clubs stay afloat and help the communities around it, towns like Bury need a football club I hope one day you guys will return.
I am from Turkey, when I was 14 years old I start supporting Bury fc becouse of cm03 game and fifa. One day I picked up this team and loved it since that day always supporting. I m very sad now. I don't know what we can do
Went to Gigg lane a few times in the last few years as a support worker (and united fan) and it always gave me great memories, drenched in history great fans and a wonderful community in football that we have sadly lost. Come back soon Bury, heartbreaking stuff.
I have a weird story with this club. When i was like 10, i got fifa 08 for my birthday (im 18 now) and i always used to support bury because they almost always lost 5-0. As a dutch feyenoord fan ive always liked this club because of this. Since then ive always looked at what they did and how they were doing. so my it really stung when i found this out. i hope they come back stronger!
Ngl didn't know bury fc till date, but now that I do I promise I'll do something or other to help this club. Love and support from an Indian arsenal fan.
People need to buy the clubs out of rich oligarchs' hands. The only way to truly protect your team is for the people who care about it to own it @wimbledon
It’s shocking for any club to be going through this and could be going out of business this club needs support from other clubs and I’m a Manchester United fan it’s heartbreaking this could happen to any club
as a life long Charlton fan, I feel for you all at Bury. I shed a tear watching this. It is shameful what has happened to you, but as your loyal fans have said, you will rise again and I will be hoping you do play in the football League again. We are uncertain about our new owners but we play a wait and see game, but at least we have life. Where there are wonderful people like your fans there is life and with life, there is HOPE!
I'm a portsmouth fan and we've been in this situation before. It's not pretty and it's a huge huge shame to see bury go. Every football fan didnt want to see this happen. But they are not dead. Bury will be back soon and I hope they get back into the professional leagues. Up the bury, see you soon

Not the first COPA90 video to make me feel the emotion but definitely the first one that made me sad. I really hope Bury come back through the strength of their fans and not some imbecile who doesn't understand what a local football club means.
Need to make videos about clubs like this before its too late, macclesfield and oldham are also struggling right now but will only get the attention when there's no time left to save them
Poignant and powerful. This is my favourite piece by this channel that doesn't involve Eli! Some football channels knock out any old upload. COPA90 and Tifo create meaningful content. There's a big difference between the two, no?
Having seen this video, it highlights that at this level it is about ordinary working class people who are passionate about their local team. These same people that are the lifeblood of the club and are always the the least regarded (by the EFL / FA / Premier etc) and most affected when these situations are played out to their detriment. We generally have no say in the running of clubs (except fan owned) but regardless of this your voices are still being heard and not forgotten. However Bury fans, stay strong and pull together to get YOUR club back as a local community asset for the future. Good luck and hopefully we will meet again in a competitive match. You have support around the country as part of the football family.
grew up in bury. my best mate in primary and his family were lifelong fans (me and my family have always been Manchester United). A couple of our teachers were too. I remember going to Gigg lane a couple times when we were kids with our friends. sure it was never like the booming Stretford end at Old Trafford but being from here, always made Bury feel more personal to me. Havent spoken much to my old mate since we went to different high schools over 10 years ago. I wonder what theyre up to now
Sure. Just like how the 1 percent could end homelessness and world starvation with pocket change. But they don't want to. They enjoy the suffering of others. The Queen's husband was quoted saying he wants to come back as a deadly virus to wipe out the masses, aka those without the superior bloodline he thinks he belongs to. The elites don't believe in Noblesse Oblige, they believe that their power and cruelty is their birthright. The world is fucked.
That Carter hat trick in 94.. if only they knew where their club would be all these years later. Really sad story, could of been my club (and still could), Leyton Orient. I’ll be sure to go along to Bury at least once next season.

Some of my fondest memories are of Saturday afternoons at Gigg Lane. I left the area more than 20 years ago but still consider Bury (Ramsbottom) to be home. I pray that vultures like Dale will never again be allowed to feast on the corpse of a such a fine Club with such a long history.
I'm far from you but I'm so close It is an honor to revive buri, let's make a campaign, let the fans give money, let the clubs give money and make the best club in history a champion again.
As a Southampton fan I feel so much sympathy for bury. My first memories of football were built in the lower leagues, in the championship and league 1. It breaks my heart to see teams going under like this but realistically it's because the money isn't enough. The difference between the league's is so huge now owners gamble a clubs future to make some money.
Same things happening to derby when does this stop this was definitely eye opening to see where my club could be in 10 days time you can’t help but feel for them bury fans
I support Greenock Morton, back in 2001 we were put into administration, and were very nearly liquidated, thankfully we were saved. I hate to see any football team go bust, I know what it feels like, worrying if your still gny have a team to support or not and it's not nice at all. I've been to a Bury game befofe, as I have a pal from Scotland who lives in Bury now. And it was class, would love to see Bury rise back up to the EFL, fan ownership could potentially be a good shout for Bury to rise up, worked well for Wimbledon, and you know the club is being run with the interests of the club at heart
My heart breaks for you and the Bury supporters. As a Bolton fan and knowing how close we were to losing our club i feel saddened for you and sickened that the EFL have allowed this to happen. They are not fit for purpose never mind their owners test. They should hang their heads in shame. I hope you can get back into the league and playing football at Gigg Lane
I’m a Leeds fan , but I’m absolutely gutted for not only the club the ppl who worked there local trade generated from games and most the fans to have your team and ground ripped from you is heartbreaking . What about RB Leipzig......
@@phoenixmarizzle5059 They are the exception that everyone hates.
Now Bury is back!!! Fan power and the hard work of volunteers and fans. Come on the Shakers!
Very well made documentary. More like this please Copa
A very moving and respectful documentary
RIP BURY FC
such a traditional old club, heart and soul of the English league , nice little stadium too.hopefully you be back one day
Love to see you guys do a show on gretna fc, went from the bottom of Scottish football to the top back to the bottom and got liquidated
Football is a business now, I cannot imagine of devastating it is now the club is no longer in the football league, the epl needs to share the wealthy with other football leagues to help the smaller clubs stay afloat and help the communities around it, towns like Bury need a football club I hope one day you guys will return.
I'm an lcfc fan RIP bury
I hope your club comes back up again
So sad. Gutted for their fans and their town
I am from Turkey, when I was 14 years old I start supporting Bury fc becouse of cm03 game and fifa. One day I picked up this team and loved it since that day always supporting. I m very sad now. I don't know what we can do
😪 it’s so sad
I am a Brighton fan and we went through a struggle but we came through it look where we are now. If only it happened for bury! They have my heart 💙
Its Sad As A Football Fan
Went to Gigg lane a few times in the last few years as a support worker (and united fan) and it always gave me great memories, drenched in history great fans and a wonderful community in football that we have sadly lost. Come back soon Bury, heartbreaking stuff.
Having been there photographing it for a number of papers during 2019, this captures it perfectly. Drama and emotion.
These football documentaries are genuinely interesting, especially when they’re about the fans of the clubs they follow.
No matter who you support if you are a real football fan you cannot be anything other than heartbroken that this was allowed to happen.
I was absolutely gutted for Bury FC. The FA and the EFL need to bring the 50+ rule in like it is in Germany to stop bad ownership.
As a fan of a team who played Bury mosts seasons it was devastating to see them go hope we see them back in the football league one day
The Football Family misses you Bury FC........ It's hard but you can come back. Mike, an Imps fan.
Ngl didn't know bury fc till date, but now that I do I promise I'll do something or other to help this club. Love and support from an Indian arsenal fan.
Love bury from the Dutch lads ❤️❤️❤️ I hope you come up and come back
People need to buy the clubs out of rich oligarchs' hands. The only way to truly protect your team is for the people who care about it to own it @wimbledon
I cried my eyes out watching this .............
Charlton fan here and the first game I went to was Charlton vs bury and I just want to say that I wish bury a great future when they get back to the higher divisions.🔵⚪️🔵⚪️🔴⚪️🔴⚪️
Respect for bury from Colombia from a fan Deportivo pasto
Not the first COPA90 video to make me feel the emotion but definitely the first one that made me sad. I really hope Bury come back through the strength of their fans and not some imbecile who doesn't understand what a local football club means.
I'm a Kekistan FC fan and this made very sad. RIP poor souls
I live a few block from Bury FC and I’ve been in the field fairly recently, it looks like the stadium belongs in the neighbouring cemetery
As a bury fan from bury I am so sad to see it go but I guess one day the pain will ease
As a charlton fan, I give all bury fans deep respect for bury and their supporters.
Need to make videos about clubs like this before its too late, macclesfield and oldham are also struggling right now but will only get the attention when there's no time left to save them
RIP BURY FOOTBALL CLUB
Poignant and powerful. This is my favourite piece by this channel that doesn't involve Eli!
Some football channels knock out any old upload. COPA90 and Tifo create meaningful content. There's a big difference between the two, no?
This shows how much the FA or the EFL care about the clubs. No help whatsoever. Feel for the fans man.
Thoroughly enjoyed this comedy great comedic value laughed hysterically throughout thought Steve dale was fantastic in this one 10/10
EFL IS MESSED UP
Always has been
GREED
no it isn't - clubs who cannot manages their own affairs - consistently - should be expelled - as Bury were - not EFL's fault.
@@prvvideoonline7993 how is that the fault of anyone at the club but the owners the EFL has the power to not let it happen
prvvideo online the efl lets people be chairman of a club for a quid and the chairman never knew there was a club there.
Efl need to do tests on them
You good sir, should get several awards for doco making!!!!
Well yeah my club Iraklis in Thessaloniki, Greece we have been through that 2 times this decade
I wonder what theyre up to now
The worst part is that either Man U or Man City could have saved Bury with their pocket change
Wouldn't be allowed, Bill Kenwright (owner of Everton) tried to buy it but it was against the Football League's conflict of interest rule.
JeanLuc DeCastro Fuck the EFL
as a Utd fan I am sad we didn't do you can disguise is as a signing and then loan that player back too Bury
Flat Accord Music wtf did he really say that? that’s fucked up wtf
Looks like they’re coming back and will be 100% fan owned
That Carter hat trick in 94.. if only they knew where their club would be all these years later.
Really sad story, could of been my club (and still could), Leyton Orient.
I’ll be sure to go along to Bury at least once next season.
Forrest Fan here.. Really feel for the Bury fans and players... That chairman was a disgrace spending money left right and center it's a disgrace chairman's are not hold to account.. Bury will rise again.. Hang in there Bury
I'm far from you but I'm so close
It is an honor to revive buri, let's make a campaign, let the fans give money, let the clubs give money and make the best club in history a champion again.
It's so empty on a Saturday without watching my Bury play I was at that last away game when we won promotion sad times 😪
This reminds me of a quote from a film called the prince of Egypt:
“One weak link can break the chain of a mighty dynasty.”
Augen auf, deutscher Fußball! 50+1 darf niemals fallen!
The f.a all the millionaires in uk should be ashamed the club should have been saved . Shocking you have my deepest sympathy
The day That Ticket sales stopped being a major part of the Club's Revenue is when Supporters lost control of their Club and The Fox went into the Chicken House several Foxes and several Chicken Houses actually
Very sad, hope you come back ASAP
I remember bury coz our legend played for that club
