As a man who hand washes, or just throws soap in one or the other compartment and is annoyed about dishes not coming out clean. I thank you.

Very smart adding pre wash detergent and using that amazing cascade complete yes, the dishwasher does a pre rinse cycle before the main wash where the detergent dispenser is released open, so it’s always good to have pre wash detergent to help with the pump and interior for nasty greasy soils, especially if you have a white tub, it can help to not stain the sump if you lets say had lots of spaghetti sauce or something like that, if you didn’t use a pre wash detergent it’ll more than likely stain the interior of the machine. I love that cascade cheap n works good as the pacs!!

Thanks. I got this dishwasher installed last night, replacing a 30-year-old Hotpoint. The controls are different than on the old one, so I was looking around for videos on how to use the new one. I like to do things as natural as possible, so I make my own dishwashing powder (1 cup salt, 1 cup citric acid, 2 cups washing soda, 2 cups borax, mix it up well and use it 1 tablespoon at a time) and have learned that white vinegar, or hydrogen peroxide, or citric acid, can be used as a rinse aid. I'm going to play with those and see what works best for me.

I think I'm going to start using liquid soap instead of pods too! My pod didn't break down all the way the other day and it was so annoying, haha! I'll have to start adding in some extra soap as well to that second compartment! Don't worry, I always remember to clean out my dishwasher, haha :)

You can put the tab in the tab place and add a little water in there that way it will be dissolved mostly and totally when it releases

I watched this video and another. Before this, I thought does it go in that little rinse thing? Wally world really jacked up the price. And, it's amazing that they dropped the pods from around 37 to 25. I was able to buy several 155 oz containers of this for 7.59 and bought a couple of store brands too. It appears this is cheaper in general but given the fact I got these at a good price at a closeout store, I'm coming out ahead. Bought that last month and two months ago they had Tide that was really cheap. This month pool shock at 4 bucks cheaper than wally world. I stocked up.

I was told by the Bosch service center not to use liquid. They said it could damage it. Now that I have a whirlpool, I have some learning to do! There has to be an easier way to add rinse aid, though. I think I waste half a bottle with overfills. Maybe the dishwasher companies and rinse aid are in cahoots.

I am so stupid. I never loaded it with liquid, only pods. I thought it would be in a different place specifically for liquid 😂

Powdered dishwasher detergent is a lot better and way cheaper, about $5 for 75oz.
