How We Laid Marine Carpet in Our 4WD Canopy

We had lots of issues laying the marine carpet in the back of the canopy.

Another project down on Snowflake. Not sure if we will cover the rear wall with marine carpet. Will the next project be fitting a pantry and kitchen or a battery system? Or getting Snowflake lifted. So many projects!

Thanks Ed everyone needs a good laugh. We already have a second battery for the fridge. However we are planning on a separate system in the back of the canopy. And have a quote from Battery World. Now to save the dollars.

Oh this seemed so simple yet we seemed to struggle with the glue. The good news is that months later it is still stuck down on the canopy.

I grabbed my marine carpet from Bunnings as it was the cheapest I could find. And to stick it down I used artificial grass adhesive from Bunnings as well. If you pick the right conditions and let that cure, It works a treat. Some people used sikaflex instead of the artificial grass adhesive. But yeah all good. You’ve done a neat job by the way.

Thanks Shaun the easy part was cutting the carpet. The majority of the marine carpet will be ok. We applied the spray glue on the rear drawer and under the fridge. Areas that will not get much use. Totally agree with you re right conditions.
