I agree with this assessment although my Genmax 3500iaed will not start one year later. Battery is dead with no way to charge externally. I am hoping that once I can start it manually, the battery will charge so I can use the push button or remote start. However, I could not even get it started manually with the pull cord despite always running fuel stabilizer in it and I actually ran it dry before storing it last spring. Now that I need it and filled it with fresh gas..., I can't get the damn thing started. Saw a "short" on youtube of how to adjust choke to get it started. I will try that but you have to open side and stick finger in to move choke. WIll further troubleshoot and post any update here
The battery of 1 of my GM3500iED also died, I also tried to find the battery online, and I could not find Model: BQH2000E/12.8v/1.6ah. I just emailed Genmax, let's see what they respond.

Thanks for passing this along. I will e-mail them for a replacement battery. I ended up purchasing a similar-sized Lead Acid Battery, however, it is having trouble starting the generator. It only has juice for about 3 cold starts before battery voltage drops to levels that will not start generator. I think that battery may be bad also--will try to get it replaced @@JavierRivera
@davidgore5719 something that I noticed. To start the generator from cold without a battery you should put the fuel selector in the middle. No propane, no gas. I think is an orange dot in the middle.
I bought this,,,very happy with it, but sometimes it wont shut off with the front button!...I have to shut it off with the remote...also sometimes it wont start from the front button either...have to push the remote button a few times...
I have the sister generator. Maxpeedingrods. Exact same one. Only thing i cant figure out is if & how to charge battery when sitting for long periods with no use. I believe its a lithium battery. But says absolutely nothing about battery in owners manual?
Excellent video review (thumbs up like), as you covered all of the functionality in detail. Also have already purchased on Amazon in mid March 2023. They were offering a $100 coupon so that made it an even better buy. My RV garage/basement interior is only about 19” high between the aluminum support joists, so this will be a very tight fit. I’ll be using a well vented metal box to contain the unit when in use.👍👍

I don't thing the handle can be removed, it looks like is part of the frame. Also by removing the wheels all you will gain is like 1 inch, as it is is 19.7 inched height.
I have not used like I should yet because I bought it for an RV that I will be buying soon. I am happy with it but I need more time and testing. That is why haven’t posted other videos about it yet.
Make sure when you do an oil change the fuel tank is completely empty because if you tip it over to empty the oil, it’ll leak gas from the air filter it has a vent hose from the gas tank to the air filter.
Mmmm 🤔. I read a review on Amazon complaining about the same I thought it was an Isolated case. But thank you I would be careful. I wonder if is normal or is a design flaw. I will ask Genmax.
@@ReviewingTech101 can you give more details? Which hose and from where? You just removed, drained the oil, and reattached or removed and reattached and that solved the problem then tilt the generator to drain the oil?
@@JavierRivera it’s a 1/4 inch hose on the right of the air filter box, I just removed it and fold it and zip tied it just to prevent any gas from leaking.
I have a predator 3500 I bought it last year on sale for 800 the remote start indoor fuel would be nice but so far it has been working well I average about 12 hours out of a tank if I’m under light load I did switch out the spark plug it came with and put a NGK in it runs a lot better with that spark plug
You got the predator 3500 on a deal; right now is 930 dollars. The predator was a really good option last year, but right now is missing the Remote Start, Dual fuel/propane; Genmax is almost half of the predator 3500 weight 56lbs, smaller in size, 200w more running, digital fuel meter, Rolling Handle. If Harbor Freight wants to stay competitive, 1- has to innovate or 2 lower the price.

Do I need a special "adaptor" to use this as 30 amp power for my RV? Thank you.
No. Is the same 30a plug. Now if your RV is a 50a RV you will need an adapter 30a to 50a

Are you leaving the button pressed for 2-3 sec? If you pressed fast it would not work.

Start it by pulling the cord. That will charge the battery.

They are great, for RVs are a better option than 1 100lbs plus unit, easy to move them around.

Why not just drain fuel from carb?

I was thinking about it but hoping I don't need it using 2 GM3500iAED. Easy starts are not cheap. Will see. I have 2 at my home AC units.
