1. Yoon Jiyoon 2. Choi Jungeun 3. Ryu Sarang 4. Bang Jeemin 5. Jeong Saebi 6. Mai 7. Koko Your ranking is fine but in my opinion I’d swop Jeemin and Saebi. I dislike how you ranking one person very high based on their potential in the future and not their vocal ability as we see now. It’s almost like you implying the rest won’t improve nor have potential to
I didn’t mean to imply that the other members won’t improve, as it’s clear they will, given that they are permanent members. My point was to highlight Saebi’s stronger potential and the visibility of her improvement in the future, especially if she is given more opportunities. In the video, I emphasized that Saebi shows a keen attention to the details of a song, though her technique, like that of many others, is still developing. I also noted that she is confident in projecting her voice, which could be beneficial for handling high notes in the future if properly trained. Lastly, as I mentioned in my other comment, you can interpret things as you like, but please don’t fixate on just one aspect. Consider the other points I’ve mentioned as well. Thank you.
To me 1. Jungeun (main vocal) 2. Jiyoon (main vocal) 3. Sarang (lead vocal) 4. Saebi (sub vocalist) 5. Jeemin (sub vocalist) 6. Mai (sub vocalist) 7. Koko (sub vocalist) Imo even though saebi and jeemin are good vocalists they aren’t lead vocal material yet. The only one with lead vocal material to me is Sarang
THE VOCAL RANKING IN THE VIDEO: 1. Yoon Jiyoon 2. Choi Jungeun BIG ASS WALL 3. Ryu Sarang WALL 4. Jeong Saebi 5. Bang Jeemin FENCE 6. Tomioka Mai 7. Narai Koko
Ha! And that’s why I love this group.. they have their own talents and charm. KPop will not be the same if every- one sounds like Beyonce or Whitney Houston
i’ve seen too many people putting jeemin 3rd for vocals and i’m glad you’re putting it how it really is!! don’t get me wrong i love her voice but she has more to work on than saebi and sarang for sure but people love her and can’t admit that she’s not the strongest singer. i also love that you recognised that koko was given limited opportunity to sing because they wanted to push her as a rapper and dancer and not because she can’t sing, i can’t wait to see how she’ll be with proper coaching. pretty much everything you’ve said is what i think bar the fact that to me jungeun has better vocal transitions. this may very well be an opinion only i have but i feel like iland2 only allowed us to see so much of the girls’ capabilities when what they got to perform was so restricted even when the girls had options to pick (which they didn’t have much of in part 2). i feel like between our 2 main vocalists, on the show jiyoon was given a much smaller range of performances than jungeun in the sense that jungeun’s performance genres/styles were more varied than jiyoon’s (to me jungeun was doing more cute (panorama), emotional (iiwab) and teen crush (lovesick girls) concepts (fake it to me is like an amalgamation of cute emotional and teen crush) while jiyoon was solely cool (iatb latata and drip) or emotional (iiwab) concepts) so again it’s hard to fully make opinions and also speculate about the izna’s future music and concept. i don’t have a singing background so tbf my thoughts are purely what sound more natural and smooth to me and i feel like jungeun’s transitions were the smoothest and most consistent of everyone on the show overall. but then i also feel like because the show gave us such limited content it’s hard to be sure. i don’t want to have too many judgements when it’s so early in the groups’s career but what i can say is that i can’t wait to hear what izna’s singing is like once they debut as i really hope they’ve all been getting the proper vocal training and practice no one was given on the show.
while Jeemin is more on the performer side, I genuinely hope she'll continue to be given the chance to work on her vocals because her voice would add so much perspective to Izna's overall sound. consistent training with proper technique will do wonders. as for Koko, it's true that she can sing. I also hope she'll be given lines that fit her comfortable range to avoid negative feedback and scrutiny in the future. i believe that’s the best way to make use of her skills. thank you sm for sharing your thoughts.
If we were to compare the voice between Jihyoon and Jungeun. Jihyoon has a soft voice that aims for emotion, but has difficulty moving into all genres. Jungeun, on the other hand, has the most technical voice in the group, although it's not perfect. But she's got a voice that can go to any genre. So whether Jihyoon has a better voice than Jungeun depends on how you hear her. If we're looking at vocal power, I'd say Jihyoon wins out over Jungeun, but if we're looking at vocal technique and versitality, then Jungeun wins out over Jihyoon. All this to say that neither Jungeun nor Jihyoon are superior to the other because they make up for their weaknesses, but I'd say that their voices are complementary Izna needs both of them. Ps: I can't wait to see Jungeun grow up because she's got incredible talent, not only for singing but also for dancing, not to mention rapping. For me, she's the most all-rounder of her generation.
I think they are both 2 different types of main vocal Jungeun is a bit like Nayeon so she has a more pop voice that fits with most music and would probably be the backbone to izna’s releases Whereas jiyoon feels like more of a rose type main vocal where she has a more stylistic and emotional approach and would contrast and add more depth to jungeun’s vocals.
@@zaraahmed2903 Then I wouldn't have compared Jungeun's voice to that of Nayeon. Plus her voice sounds more rnb than pop, so I'd have compared her to SM artists. Just because Jihyoon sings with emotion doesn't mean his voice sounds like Rosé's, when in truth it absolutely doesn't. Rosé had a pop/rock voice, which is not the case with Jihyoon.
@@erickacornu774 Jiyoon does sound a lot like Rosé in some of her performances. They have very similar tones and approaches to singing. Jiyoon her IIWAB stage, so many moments that sounded like Rosé.
Collectively they are a pretty stable vocal group! They are set to debut toward the end of the year and I’m sure with how important live vocals are becoming again in Kpop, I’m sure their vocals are going to surprise us and improve going forward! ❤
Can I please recommend a video on Kep1er's singing as in the past your video on them (now deleted) didn't have a lot of material to base it off of, but now each girl has released singing covers/special stages/hae gotten great lines in their recent album Kep1Going On so there's plenty of material - and it would be great timing as they just renewed to continue on as 7 and are the 1st survival show group to ever do so! I think it would be an amazing video to watch as the girls have definitely grown as singers since Girls Planet, your channel has become much more in-depth with your analysis's and I feel like you make great and unbiased videos, and this is like a redebut for them as they'll be continuing with a re-formed lineup. All love and i hope you'll consider it from a long time fan
for sure, you are very welcome to suggest. i truly appreciate your support! i have to admit, i miss making Kep1er videos too. i do have plans to create more, but I can’t guarantee when they’ll be released. thank you for being with us through this journey. it’s hard to believe that gp999 was almost three years ago. im also excited to see how Kep1er continues to grow. thanks again for sticking around! edit: i might have to….
@@EKCristobal I think it would do really well and would be a great video to commemorate their renewal 🫶🏻 no rush or pressure, just something I know many kpop fans would LOVE to see Even if not, hopefully there can be some form of Kep1er video in the future, they deserve so much more hype for their talents than they get 😭 Thanks for the reply and all love 💕 keep making awesome videos and being an awesome channel!!!
Thanks for the mentions in the video! I actually reckon Jiyoon has better pitch accuracy than Jungeun (see Final Love Song practice). While I do love Jungeun’s voice best overall in izna, she seems to have a habit of slurring her phrases together instead of hitting each note clearly. I say that, however, this is quite typical of young singers before adulthood so she may grow out of it. While Jiyoon’s tone and enunciation is very interesting to the ear and part of her core identity as an artist, it may be a limiter to what she should be able to do. She has a powerful voice and is shown to sing some high notes, but I feel that if she thinks more about healthy technique rather than keeping her vocal styling up in the fifth octave she will become a very well-rounded vocalist. There are certain parts of a song that can sacrifice technique for great effect, but some other parts where the good technique will win out (see Like Ohh-Ahh). Also I really like that you put Sarang as 3rd. It’s true that she needs to open up more, but it’s great to see how she has an awareness of her voice and I see her having a lot of potential if given the right training.
Thank you for always being kind in extending your knowledge. I appreciate them so much, not just for me, but to everyone who needs it. Please continue to do so. Your analyses are very welcome. Thank you!
this was such a great video! super in depth and interesting but none of the critiques were hate or anything like that and you were so encouraging of each members’ futures as vocalists. i really enjoyed this :)
My ranking: 1. Jungeun - most versatile 2. Jiyoon - A main vocalist type. Too hoarse and rough head-to-chest voice transitions for me to rank above Jungeun. 3. Sarang - She's fine. She sounds like she's been singing for a long time and has developed some bad habits that can easily be fixed. 4. Saebi - no comment, the video explained her issues. 5. Jeemin - no comment, the video explained her issues. 6. Koko - it's hard to tell due to small parts in songs, but her IWALY vocals were insanely good. 7. Mai - poorest sense of pitch in this group. Her performances probably had pitch correction, while she struggled with pitch in practice videos.
@@bella39559well theres 2 ways to look at things. Jungeun and jiyoon are both amazing but we’re more impressed with jungeun. Or at least i am. Jiyoom has a “unique” voice and great emotions but i would still put jungeun as number 1 even if yall disagree with me.
• JIYOON - MAIN VOCALIST • JUNGEUN - MAIN VOCALIST, LEAD DANCER, LEADER • SARANG - LEAD VOCALIST, MAIN RAPPER, LEAD DANCER, VISUAL LINE • JEEMIN - LEAD DANCER, SUB VOCALIST, FOTG, CENTER • SAEBI - SUB VOCALIST, VISUAL LINE, MAKNAE • MAI - SUB VOCALIST, VISUAL • KOKO - MAIN RAPPER, MAIN DANCER (I JUST SAW THEY CAN'T HAVE 2 MAIN POSITIONS ON SMTH)
@user-lr2hh3bv1n If you think about it THOROUGHLY Saebi is the only possible Main Dancer because Koko can't have both Main Dancer and Main Rapper position. Saebi scored higher than Mai in dance position in part 2. Saebi beat Koko in Main Dancer position during Iwaly. The reason Saeang doesn't have a Main position is because she is an all rounder, that is why she have all lead position but not main. Jeemin is out of the Main dancer position because she is 100% gonna be the center judging how the show literally wants her to be the center.
@user-lr2hh3bv1n Do you know that Aespa only has 4 members? When Izna have 8. The reason of Karina having Center AND Main Dancer is the fact that they are a 4 member group. Having 8 member group and a person having Center position and Main dancer is slim to none. Saebi was the Main dancer in Iwaly beating Koko (who was considered the best dancer), got a higher score than Mai in money (the Money performance is mostly rigged by the fact that there was a Solo dance in a group performance). The center of the dance break in Into the New World and Koko wasn't the center of their group dance break in Latata because Jungeun was the one who was the center of the dance. Jeemin is already FOTG and Center so having a main position is very VERY unlikely (literally have some common sense). And since Koko being already being the main rapper of the group since she was pushed heavily to be a rapper during part 2, that leaves Saebi having the Main dancer position. This is the most likely position each Izna member will have: Jungeun - Main Vocalist, Lead Dancer, Lead/Sub Rapper, Leader? Jiyoon - Main Vocalist, Leader? Jeemin - Center, FOTG, Sub Vocalist Saebi - Main Dancer, Maknae, Visual Mai - Visual, Sub Vocalist Koko - Main Rapper, Lead Dancer, Sub Vocalist Sarang - Lead Dancer, Lead Vocalist, Lead Rapper
@user-lr2hh3bv1n that is literally a main dancer also do. Expressions is also a factor in dance. Saebi was more expressive than Koko during Iwaly. Why are you saying I should look at your comment again? You literally only brought up Karina before you edited your comment to add more. Also to emphasize that the show clearly shows us what their position will most likely be. Jungeun and Jiyoon obviously the main vocalist. Koko being the main rapper obvious during part 2 and was heavily being favored by the producers during Spicy. Saebi the main dancer even though she was criticized during Money, it was largely due to the fact that the producers sees her as being more cute and the fact that Jeemin shined more due to having the Solo part in the performance and yet Saebi didn't get the same score as Mai, Juwon, and Sujung showing that producers are favoring her in somewhat of a main dancer position when she got higher than Juwon and Sujung(both powerhouse in dancing). Sarang is an all rounder so no main position but she has lead position like lead dancer, etc. Mai is obviously the Visual since the producers clearly said as well. Jeemin the center since it was pushed during part 2 and she was criticized when she chose a small part during Iwaly and the obvious FOTG due to her popularity during R U Next.
Amazing video! We all learn a lot with this vids but imo in Fake it Mai supported A LOT of notes and I would say that her vocal range is (G3~G4/G#4) I could be so wrong but it’s what I think! Please correct me!!
opinion below !! (take away + personal opinions - ranked by how the vocalists were shown) before i start, i’m not a vocal coach, i simply enjoy learning. i’ve taken music classes and i do understand certain things when it comes to octaves and such, but that’s about all. now! KOKO - sub vocal material i do personally believe that due to the factor that koko is still learning korean, her vocals aren’t being fully showcased yet as she still struggles with korean pronunciation. koko is also still young, her adult voice hasn’t developed yet, so that could prove to be another thing. koko has been pushed as rapper & dancer, because of that, from what i’ve seen in KPOP, rappers aren’t given the most amount of vocal training, unless they do it on there own. (ex. jennie of blackpink, in their documentary she revealed that as a trainee she was given not as many vocal lessons due to being a rapper in training. after debuting though, she has shown to be the second best vocalist after rosé after training more) koko carries a nasally tone, if she gets more technical training, she could show more support in the range she’s comfortable in. MAI - sub vocal material, maybe lead depending on training. now.. im a little biased when it comes to mai, i’ll admit it. however, i’ll try my best to subjective. mai had the most prominent nasal tone on iland2, towards the end of the show, we finally got to see her potential as she had gotten rid of one of the main things holding her back. in drama, it seems mai is a lot more comfortable with lower notes, even in her later performances, that is evident to me. using panaroma as an example, although mai was able to reach the notes and sound well, her throat was obviously holding tension, she wasn’t using her diaphragm to produce the notes. this shows she isn’t confident and maybe even struggles to produce notes higher than F4. she seems most comfortable in the third & lower fourth octave, in my opinion. due to this, i think if IZNA songs use lower notes, she will be utilized there. (her comfort range seems to be BB3~F4/G#4 - this isn’t her support range, just her comfort area) JEEMIN - lead vocal material hybe vocals have a specific sound to them, most trainees under them seem to have more chest support and chest sound than anything. we see this with jeemin as well. chest support is good to have but it also seems that due to that being her main way to sing, she’ll use it to get out of certain notes, therefore the notes will sound off. i don’t have much to say about jeemin tbh, she has a decent foundation and with proper training from wk1 & TB1 she should improve. SAEBI - lead vocal material due to her being so young, her voice will have several inconsistencies without proper training. however, saebi has been a trainee for a long time, because of this, she found what range she is comfortable in and won’t show many flaws. we haven’t seen her take many risks with vocals, in fact, most of the izna members during iland2 didn’t or couldn’t take risks. but, she has a decent technique, it still needs to be built on as she has stylistic choices at times, but overall, she’s proving to be a pretty good weak vocalist. she needs to build on her core technique, but overall, she could sing long lines and still sound good. SARANG - lead vocal material she has pretty good pitch and seems to exercise control over a certain range, but we can also tell that she isn’t as confident in other notes as she’ll try and avoid them or use a different technique to hit them. she needs to work on proper support with core engagement, which is noted in the video. again, not much to say on sarang but she has potential and if she stays confident with herself, with proper training, she will prove to be wonderful. JUNGEUN - main vocal material this girl has insane pitch and understanding of what she can make her voice do. mai & jungeun seem to know volume control at a certain level, this is obvious with her more emotion driven performances. however, jungeun struggles with nasal tone. this isn’t a bad thing, classical singers will even use this when singing, but without proper technique, it can sound extremely tense and squeaky. even though she has a natural higher singing voice, it can sound thin due to not proper technique. JIYOON - main vocal material she has a very nice pitch, with work in her lower register, she’ll only get better. however, she needs to work on technique, like most of the izna members. she can sound shallow past a certain point in the 4th octave, even with high notes, she seems to struggle a bit. again, core engagement could help her a whole lot. but also, more training will help. her training on YG, where lots of the vocalists are stylistic, shows that her technique isn’t as strong which hinders certain performances. that’s about all i have to say.. uhm. yeah)? 🩷🩷 support izna!!
i really loved reading your analysis! i want to highlight your comment on Mai because I agree. i actually find her voice in Drama to be somewhat deep-though that might not be the most precise description. it was clear that her tonal quality needs to suit a specific type, especially for lower notes. i hope she gets lines that match this, as it would allow her voice to shine more.
I agree, especially to Mai. I think she has the most potential in horning her vocals, it’s just that shes not given the chance to express her vocal more. I’m really glad Teddy let her have more lines in Fake It then Mai proved us wrong!❤
@@EKCristobal maybe rich is the word??? 😭 most definitely, her tone quality fits certain notes the best. i think teddy giving her lower notes in fake it showcased it as well.
Every ranking I saw so far put Jiyoon over Jungeun, and even now with your very valid reasoning I'm still confused. Jiyoon's voice sounds extremly limited and constrained (even muffled ? repressed ? I don't how to put it) in my ears and thus I just can't enjoy her singing voice... I guess you need to have strong knowledge to singing to tell Jiyoon is above Jungeun (which I admit I don't have) but I still don't get how literaly everyone agree to that opinion. 😭 I agree with the rest of the ranking tho !
Thank you for being so open-minded. It’s okay; I’m still learning and exploring all the vocal techniques too. We just need to keep delving deeper into this field, and we’ll get there eventually. Fighting!
Between Jiyoon and Jungeun it's honestly a big part on what you prefer in vocal tone and style. Jiyoon goes for the stylistic choice a lot of the time (if not basically always) which isn't to the taste of some, while Jungeun has a more clear tone. Jungeun does have a tendency to 'hang' on her notes instead of 'sitting' on them. Which basically means she at times is a fraction of a pitch too low. While Jiyoon closes her sound off too much when going higher. I personally put them around the same level of skills. They each just have different things they need to work on. But they compliment eachother very well, and will be great main vocal duo.
All this to say that neither Jungeun nor Jihyoon are superior to the other because they make up for their weaknesses, but I'd say that their voices are complementary Izna needs both of them.
can you make a vocal ranking on ME:I? they're a group created from Produce 101 Japan The Girls and there has been no video ranking about their skill so far
@@EKCristobal no worries take your time. i just never saw any video about them and for a jpop group without any trainee experience (most members) i think they're quite good especially the main dancer, i want to know about her analysis the most
I think there's something people need to understand before they debut and its that I-land vocals are edited like in all other shows, that means they could actually sound not that clear in truth...
i was actually super salty Jeemin didn't make it to ILLIT,, especially how wonhee, WONHEE ranked 1st and took away a spot (from other talented members as well, don't get me started..........) but now, i'm actually super glad Jeemin made it to IZNA instead. the team composition suits her more.
Sorry but to me Jeemin is on sub vocal level, she is not lead vocal material, for me this is the vocal ranking: Main: 1. Jungeun 2. Jiyoon Lead: 3. Sarang 4. Saebi Sub: 5. Jeemin 6. Koko 7. Mai Saebi right now is more sub but her tone is very pretty and i think she will improve a lot
I was so confused on your comment in the previous video. Anyways Ryu Sarang is a more skilled vocalist than Jeong Saebi and here’s why: 1. Sarang's vocal technique is more refined, showcasing precise pitch accuracy compared to Saebi. She’s also more stable we saw this in her uncut dance practice videos especially FLS where she showed control and consistency. Although stage fright affected her stability later on the show which she had a whole storyline about it, it doesn't diminish her technical skill. 2. Saebi's vocal range is limited, with most of her performances spanning a similar range. She hasn't been challenged to showcase her vocal capabilities in more complex or demanding songs unlike Sarang who has. 3. Sarang excels in vocal expression and dynamics. Saebi’s performances often seem to lack this depth when compared to Sarang’s. Again this is all about comparison. 4. When evaluating their vocals, Don’t use ITNW or Fake It live performances as a source because there’s obvious use of autotune and pitch correction. Uncut dance practice videos provide a more accurate examples of their singing abilities. 5. Saebi struggles with high notes, further highlighting her limited vocal range. I know hitting high notes doesn’t make you a better vocalist but my overall point is Sarang being able to hit high notes contributes to her overall versatility. 6. The trainees' ranked Sarang 3rd overall and even once nominated her for a main vocal position, whereas Saebi was ranked 7th and never considered for more vocally demanding parts. That should say a lot on its own. 7. Lastly, Sarang's vocal tone is more expressive, with a warmer and richer quality that adds depth to her singing. No one can deny that Sarang has an extremely unique vocal tone. 8. I’m not a fan of using vocal tiers but just to mention Saebi is a F tier. Sarang is not. Anyways I’m highly certain that you are a Saebi stan. You come across very biased sometimes. I think you should aim to come across less biased and do more research❤️ EDIT: PLEASE DO A DANCE RANKING NEXT
Thank you for your understanding. I recognize that my previous video was based on a more generalized analysis, and I now realize that placing Saebi in the 3rd position was premature. Although she hasn’t reached that level yet, I remain optimistic about her strong potential. Please do not assume any favoritism based on her higher placement; it was simply an oversight on my part. I appreciate your feedback and will use it for our continued improvement. Thank you.
@@EKCristobal I think they are trying to say that your video makes it seem like you are biased towards Saebi. KEYWORD: Make It Seem. They not accusing you of being biased. In my eyes it also kinda seems like you have a softer spot for one trainee compared to the others and maybe a harder spot for Sarang. Remember we not saying you are but instead saying it seems like it. Maybe it’s the editing and how your criticism is obviously so harsher towards a certain trainee. I think making sure everything is equal could cancel out this
@@bellethegirlgroupstan The comment “I’m highly certain you are a Saebi stan” doesn’t seem like a “make it seem” case to me. However, op and I have reached an understanding based on this thread. I’ve admitted my shortcoming and am taking all constructive feedback into account. I understand if you disagree with my ranking, and that’s perfectly fine. Interestingly, Sarang is actually one of my top trainees from I-Land 2. Nevertheless, you’re free to perceive things as you see fit, as I can’t control how you interpret them.
yes, a lighter tone like Jungeun’s can facilitate reaching higher notes more comfortably. as for Jiyoon, not necessarily. in general, while a strong chest voice can support belting, it doesn’t automatically mean the singer is better suited to it. it also depends on their ability to mix.
@@bella39559 Bella here you are again lol. No one even said that jungeun is better because she hits higher highnotes. They said shes better at hitting high notes. Theres a difference. Calm down sis, its ok. Not everyone has the same opinion as you.

IMO jungeun has best voice. Its basic versatile and is only going to improve. She is just naturally great at singing. In the show you can see her trying alot of new ways of using her voice. Shes really not afraid to try something new.
@@EKCristobal ah ... that's sad I've been an avid watcher of those videos since the beginning . It was very informative for the child i was back thwn It's gonna stay a memory for both of us ig. Thank you anyway ( & always !)
@EKCristobal please do take into account that the boys are overworked so inconsistencies might happen .. they're exhausted to the bones. Jay has a knee injury and it has just been reported that heeseung looks unwell irl
LET'S REPEAT AGAING, JUNGEUN VOCAL>>>>JIYOON. jungeun has a more extended vocal range, she can hit high note but very low note too and she can fits every concept(very important for a main vocalist), meanwhile jiyoon is good only on her vocal range and in a ballad songs, she is not versatility and she struggle with high note, a very important part for a main vocalist. They always choose jiyoon over jungeun because she has a unique vocal tone compared to jungeun, but its not enough to be a complete main vocalist in every aspect like jungeun. Instead, for the nasal vocal tone of jungeun, in the last episodes, it disappeared, so stop using this excuse anymore. They both deserve a main vocal position but jungeun is better.
Jungeun is not better though when she has shallow support and is inconsistent lol. Look at their if we’re a boy b4 the “could understand” and jungeuns “listen to her” jungeun was shallow and weak. She’s closer to Fuko than Jiyoon technically
@@KairiAmane-s7tlmaoooooo this is why I hate jungeun stans, stop victimising her, the real victim was jiyoon and y’all proceeded to hate on her? Also jiyoon was not out of tune it’s time for y’all to acc so that Jiyoon is better, she has better techniques and emotions and jungeun only have highnotes, also her highnotes wasn’t not write in if I were a boy, she could have done better where as jiyoon did it perfectly
No , JIYOON>>>JUNGEUN.. she has a better technique + support. She can hit high notes effortlessly and does sing is low notes like in I am the best. Yes she has a unique vocal tone which adds to the factor, jiyoon can do high notes without messing up , while jungeun in lovesick girls had a mistake in the intermediate. Which adds also to the support of that , jungeun also has High weak , while jiyoon has mid-weak / average. So jiyoon is better by far.
@selvlgvcr even jiyoon did mistakes during intermediate. Yes her technique is better, but jungeun has an higher range, and jiyoon if you watch the bts of if I were a boy performance you will see that she struggle with high note, meanwhile jungeun did good till the first take.
Not really the 'ego' part; I mean, they're still pretty young regardless. But I feel like labels have more priorities now than just assigning fixed positions, as it can limit their ability to improve as idols. I agree that avoiding fixed roles allows for more growth.
@@zackzzz3513 Fair enough but to the average listener Koko sounds better and I think that matters so much more. E.g Joy has such a pretty tone but is a fairly average singer. In the end, Mai is also very talented so it’s just up to the listener 😊
i feel a bit vindicated that you and i have the same order in izna's ranking, i feel like popularity influences some people and they dont judge these girls fairly on their skills
mnet show groups tend to debut quickly (izone and zb1 debuted around the 2 month mark after their survival show ended and kep1er was supposed to too, but their debut got delayed) so maybe soon! but it also might take a bit longer since teddy is involved
They are performing at Kcon Germany, so it's theorized they will debut close to then (28-29 of September) so sometime late september or early October is what fans are predicting.
These reality shows don’t show real live and it’s all autotuned. I’ve been rooting for the new gg from the black label but izna I’m disappointed cause I see them as just a visual and dance group like lesserafim
They definitely have potential but I'm an NMIXX fan and so far, I don't think they can compete with NMIXX vocally or performance wise. The ones with best vocal in IZNA are Jiyoon and Jungeun, Sarang and Jeemin are good but not really great. Mai and saebi are more of the visual than vocals. Vocally, NMIXX will eat up IZNA.
if they would've debuted in third gen, they would be devoured the second they make a debut. but we're talking about 5th gen and it's sad that most of the sirvival show trainees are mediocre, no one would be impressed in holding a note, sustaining mid range notes and nasality. all in all, they are literally a part of the so called "mid 5th gen"
i believe Jungeun sings better than Jiyoon. In “if i were a boy” she sang all the high notes. She effortlessly hit all the high notes while Jiyoon had some struggles with practicing one part .
Actually Jiyoon is way better than jungeun with her techniques and unique voice where as jungeun is only better than her in highnotes, also in if I were boy jungeun was only hitting highnote where as jungeun made use of her emotions and technique, and she won 🤭

Mnet indeed tends to produce groups with relatively strong vocalists. However, when considering the 5th generation girl groups so far, IZNA isn’t particularly weak as a group.
Thank you.

i’ve seen too many people putting jeemin 3rd for vocals and i’m glad you’re putting it how it really is!! don’t get me wrong i love her voice but she has more to work on than saebi and sarang for sure but people love her and can’t admit that she’s not the strongest singer. i also love that you recognised that koko was given limited opportunity to sing because they wanted to push her as a rapper and dancer and not because she can’t sing, i can’t wait to see how she’ll be with proper coaching. pretty much everything you’ve said is what i think bar the fact that to me jungeun has better vocal transitions.
this may very well be an opinion only i have but i feel like iland2 only allowed us to see so much of the girls’ capabilities when what they got to perform was so restricted even when the girls had options to pick (which they didn’t have much of in part 2). i feel like between our 2 main vocalists, on the show jiyoon was given a much smaller range of performances than jungeun in the sense that jungeun’s performance genres/styles were more varied than jiyoon’s (to me jungeun was doing more cute (panorama), emotional (iiwab) and teen crush (lovesick girls) concepts (fake it to me is like an amalgamation of cute emotional and teen crush) while jiyoon was solely cool (iatb latata and drip) or emotional (iiwab) concepts) so again it’s hard to fully make opinions and also speculate about the izna’s future music and concept.
i don’t have a singing background so tbf my thoughts are purely what sound more natural and smooth to me and i feel like jungeun’s transitions were the smoothest and most consistent of everyone on the show overall. but then i also feel like because the show gave us such limited content it’s hard to be sure.
i don’t want to have too many judgements when it’s so early in the groups’s career but what i can say is that i can’t wait to hear what izna’s singing is like once they debut as i really hope they’ve all been getting the proper vocal training and practice no one was given on the show.
while Jeemin is more on the performer side, I genuinely hope she'll continue to be given the chance to work on her vocals because her voice would add so much perspective to Izna's overall sound. consistent training with proper technique will do wonders. as for Koko, it's true that she can sing.
Yes, Jungeun really can be an all-rounder and even an ace in the future imo.
I think they are both 2 different types of main vocal
Jungeun is a bit like Nayeon so she has a more pop voice that fits with most music and would probably be the backbone to izna’s releases
Whereas jiyoon feels like more of a rose type main vocal where she has a more stylistic and emotional approach and would contrast and add more depth to jungeun’s vocals.

Thank you!

Saebi is not even lead dancer meterial she is a good dancer but there are jeemin koko junguen and sarang bettter than her@@jeromenilda4329
This is the most likely position each Izna member will have:
Jungeun - Main Vocalist, Lead Dancer, Lead/Sub Rapper, Leader?
Jiyoon - Main Vocalist, Leader?
Jeemin - Center, FOTG, Sub Vocalist
Saebi - Main Dancer, Maknae, Visual
Mai - Visual, Sub Vocalist
Koko - Main Rapper, Lead Dancer, Sub Vocalist
Sarang - Lead Dancer, Lead Vocalist, Lead Rapper
After their Kcon performance, all i can say is
JUNGEUN > JIYOON
keep dream

Amazing video! We all learn a lot with this vids but imo in Fake it Mai supported A LOT of notes and I would say that her vocal range is (G3~G4/G#4) I could be so wrong but it’s what I think! Please correct me!!
In order to really declare that she actually supported she would need to show consistency when singing in that range
@@kayliawilson8842it was her last presentation in iland so we have to wait more!
@@kayliawilson8842yes, true
@@kayliawilson8842The bad thing is that Fake it was the las EP so we will have to wait to KCON Germany or their debut
opinion below !! (take away + personal opinions - ranked by how the vocalists were shown)
before i start, i’m not a vocal coach, i simply enjoy learning. i’ve taken music classes and i do understand certain things when it comes to octaves and such, but that’s about all. now!
KOKO - sub vocal material
i do personally believe that due to the factor that koko is still learning korean, her vocals aren’t being fully showcased yet as she still struggles with korean pronunciation. koko is also still young, her adult voice hasn’t developed yet, so that could prove to be another thing. koko has been pushed as rapper & dancer, because of that, from what i’ve seen in KPOP, rappers aren’t given the most amount of vocal training, unless they do it on there own. (ex. jennie of blackpink, in their documentary she revealed that as a trainee she was given not as many vocal lessons due to being a rapper in training. after debuting though, she has shown to be the second best vocalist after rosé after training more) koko carries a nasally tone, if she gets more technical training, she could show more support in the range she’s comfortable in.
(her comfort range seems to be BB3~F4/G#4 - this isn’t her support range, just her comfort area)
JEEMIN - lead vocal material
hybe vocals have a specific sound to them, most trainees under them seem to have more chest support and chest sound than anything. we see this with jeemin as well. chest support is good to have but it also seems that due to that being her main way to sing, she’ll use it to get out of certain notes, therefore the notes will sound off. i don’t have much to say about jeemin tbh, she has a decent foundation and with proper training from wk1 & TB1 she should improve.
SARANG - lead vocal material
she has pretty good pitch and seems to exercise control over a certain range, but we can also tell that she isn’t as confident in other notes as she’ll try and avoid them or use a different technique to hit them. she needs to work on proper support with core engagement, which is noted in the video. again, not much to say on sarang but she has potential and if she stays confident with herself, with proper training, she will prove to be wonderful.
JUNGEUN - main vocal material
this girl has insane pitch and understanding of what she can make her voice do. mai & jungeun seem to know volume control at a certain level, this is obvious with her more emotion driven performances. however, jungeun struggles with nasal tone. this isn’t a bad thing, classical singers will even use this when singing, but without proper technique, it can sound extremely tense and squeaky. even though she has a natural higher singing voice, it can sound thin due to not proper technique.
JIYOON - main vocal material
she has a very nice pitch, with work in her lower register, she’ll only get better. however, she needs to work on technique, like most of the izna members. she can sound shallow past a certain point in the 4th octave, even with high notes, she seems to struggle a bit. again, core engagement could help her a whole lot. but also, more training will help. her training on YG, where lots of the vocalists are stylistic, shows that her technique isn’t as strong which hinders certain performances.
that’s about all i have to say.. uhm.

I agree with the rest of the ranking tho !
@@Hannah-vt7lc Totally agree with them complementing each other !

i was actually super salty Jeemin didn't make it to ILLIT,, especially how wonhee, WONHEE ranked 1st and took away a spot (from other talented members as well, don't get me started..........)
but now, i'm actually super glad Jeemin made it to IZNA instead. the team composition suits her more.
Sorry but to me Jeemin is on sub vocal level, she is not lead vocal material, for me this is the vocal ranking:
Main:
1. Jungeun
2. Jiyoon
Lead:
3. Sarang
4. Saebi
Sub:
5. Jeemin
6. Koko
7. Mai
Saebi right now is more sub but her tone is very pretty and i think she will improve a lot
strictly, & considering the standards outside IZNA and in Kpop generally, yup, Jeemin is a sub-vocalist and would have to improve more to be upgraded.
most survival shows have multiple takes and post production so i don't think ist reliable to give them support range based on that.
,,basta ako kay choi lang❤leader/mv❤
🐆 JUNGEUN 🐆
I was so confused on your comment in the previous video.
Anyways Ryu Sarang is a more skilled vocalist than Jeong Saebi and here’s why:
I think you should aim to come across less biased and do more research❤️
EDIT:
PLEASE DO A DANCE RANKING NEXT
Thank you for your understanding. I recognize that my previous video was based on a more generalized analysis, and I now realize that placing Saebi in the 3rd position was premature. Although she hasn’t reached that level yet, I remain optimistic about her strong potential. Please do not assume any favoritism based on her higher placement; it was simply an oversight on my part. I appreciate your feedback and will use it for our continued improvement. Thank you.
@@EKCristobal I understand and all the trainees have a lot of potential. Have a nice day.
I think making sure everything is equal could cancel out this
@@Skylaruk2005thank you. you too!
Nevertheless, you’re free to perceive things as you see fit, as I can’t control how you interpret them.

hello love~ we don't do vocal tiers
Can you do a video about giving izna positions?
Is it because jugeun’s tone is lighter she can hit higher notes? Jiyoon is more fitted for belting?? Because her chest voice is better?
yes, a lighter tone like Jungeun’s can facilitate reaching higher notes more comfortably. as for Jiyoon, not necessarily. in general, while a strong chest voice can support belting, it doesn’t automatically mean the singer is better suited to it. it also depends on their ability to mix.
Hitting higher highnotes doesn’t mean better jiyoon has always been better and we’ve been telling y’all but y’all ain’t listening lol

IMO jungeun has best voice. Its basic versatile and is only going to improve. She is just naturally great at singing. In the show you can see her trying alot of new ways of using her voice. Shes really not afraid to try something new.

@@EKCristobal yayyy! I’ll look forward to it
Yes please @Excristobal i think Jeemin might improve 😂, shes a fighter though she might seem too kind 😂
@@blueorangeade712jungeun stans don’t wanna hear the truth lol😭 even all members know jiyoon is better than

Jungeun and Jiyoon both have big egos so IZNA better promote them both as main vocalists.
Not really the 'ego' part; I mean, they're still pretty young regardless. But I feel like labels have more priorities now than just assigning fixed positions, as it can limit their ability to improve as idols. I agree that avoiding fixed roles allows for more growth.
my opinion
jiyoon
jungeun

These reality shows don’t show real live and it’s all autotuned. I’ve been rooting for the new gg from the black label but izna I’m disappointed cause I see them as just a visual and dance group like lesserafim
They definitely have potential but I'm an NMIXX fan and so far, I don't think they can compete with NMIXX vocally or performance wise. The ones with best vocal in IZNA are Jiyoon and Jungeun, Sarang and Jeemin are good but not really great. Mai and saebi are more of the visual than vocals. Vocally, NMIXX will eat up IZNA.
it's 4th generation not 5th generation
if they would've debuted in third gen, they would be devoured the second they make a debut. but we're talking about 5th gen and it's sad that most of the sirvival show trainees are mediocre, no one would be impressed in holding a note, sustaining mid range notes and nasality. all in all, they are literally a part of the so called "mid 5th gen"
i believe Jungeun sings better than Jiyoon.
