That's my inspo for my future song writing.
There is a story behind those moths. There was a species of moth that were continuously being preyed upon. Their predators proliferated and targeted them so well that in one generation they changed their color to a darker version to avoid predation. They were able to successfully avoid becoming prey long enough to pass their genes on to the next generation and due to the predators not being able to recognize their targets due to their darker hue they died off. Because of the lack of predators the next generation was born with the characteristic light hue that is generally characteristic of their species because it was now safe again. This is a trauma response that ensured the survival of their species and shows how evolution can happen in only one generation. Food for thought. One of my favorite music videos. Just thought I’d leave this here.

I love the imagery of this video. At first she's caged, and after escaping she's hobbling along, her form bloated & mishapen. But eventually she removes what's ailing her and transforms into something beautiful. I think anyone who's experienced abuse can relate, nomatter what gender.

Which didn't have the same feel as this album. She had a nicer image though as Baby Jane, just the songs weren't as radio friendly as this album was. So many great songs on Stripped, no fillers.
Stripped is a masterpiece!! YES!! The album itself and all the songs are incredible. Vocally speaking she was phenomenal. And XTINA was absolutely bad ass stunning. SEX!! Performing wise also one of the best! Very creative...very controversial. Without doubt one of the most iconic era's in music industry. Unfortunately it ended too soon. 😫 2003 was christina's YEAR!

ppl now days will never understand the sheer joy hype and excitement that came through our bodies when that mop appeared on mtv with that iconic sound of grit. I hold it so dear to my heart cause at that time we didnt have youtube to just come and see the video whenever, we would have to wait for it on mtv and man did that mop bring me joy cause this video was EVERYTHING at that time it fucking made such an impact on shaping who I am.
