Seldom reacted to...but heavy and intense AF. Saiki completely owns this one. This was my introduction to the World Domination album. I was hesitant about the purchase until I heard the opening song. Dice and Domination prompted the purchase...The rest of the album blew my mind ! 🤯🤯🤯❤️
Something about this concert had Saiki fired up. She was glistening with sweat by the 3rd song, and drenched by the 5th {?} song. I rated her vocal performance on this concert and their follow up acoustic concert as her best of all the live streams from 2024.
I felt similarly listening to Yokohama. I was awed at Saiki's easy power and also there seemed to be a physical prowess like comes with extra strength training.
I was lucky enough to be in DC in 2022 to hear this one, the only time they have played ICLWY outside Japan. For about 20 seconds, I couldn't tell what song they were playing it was so unexpected
I compare Saiki's vocals on ICLWY to her climbing a mountain or running a marathon. You wonder...How in the hell is she going to pull this off ?...Yet, she does it, and almost makes it look easy. She deserves all the credit in the world for putting in the work to get to this level ! ❤🤯
As you might imagine, Saiki gets a rest after this song when in concert. Powerhouse vocals and breath control, and don't overlook Miku's fills and harmonies, abby fab in their own right. As you are finding Sohum song by song, they can do no wrong. And always always better live. Onward or should I say downward thru the pigeon hole.
At the time of writing this song, Kanami asked Saiki how high she could sing, then wrote the whole chorus at that upper limit. Saiki has improved since then, but she struggled with it at first.
Maids were already masterclass before the pandemic. All of them have bettered themselves during the pandemic. Saiki is the most improved member...I'm probably biased because I'm a member of the Gachi-Koi family😏 For those who are not familiar with the "Gachi-Koi family". That is the name of a group who love Saiki, and Mincho is the head of this group.

Saiki used to struggle a lot with this song, having to hit high notes constantly isn't her forte...but man, she sounds just amazing. I watched the live stream and I was shocked that she was even better than Yokohama Arena concert that made me feel emotional. And the mix was the best ever.

Kanami is the first Japanese to get a signature PRS Guitar. She had PRS put Band Maid instead of her name.
