Honestly the paint job on this is a let down, it just looks cheap to me. Also don't mention the new Predator movie, that movie was worse than the paint job on this statue.
This statue is so cool. I love it. The sculls are amazing and so detailed.
I canceled this one a long time ago and I still don’t regret doing it. You’re right: close up, the skin does seem kind of off. Not as much texture or sheen, and the colors don’t seem to blend into each other as well. The prototype had those features, but not the production. The armor also needs more metallic shine. Overall, the statue is missing a certain level of gloss and finer detail. Still great, but definately not for me anymore.
Honestly, I actually prefer the old rating system review. Your reviews were definately longer, but also more detailed when you separated them into focal categories and then gave them an end rating. This format is certainly less offensive for companies that don’t want their statues so thoroughly dissected and nitpicked, and so it is more friendly for them. Not to mention that rating system was your personal X style, whereas now your reviews lack that signature touch and can be confused with everyone else’s. You still go over the same things as before, but it’s not as clean and compartmentalized. It’s your channel and you can make whatever changes you desire, especially if you feel it was time for a change. The content remains great, so I’ll always adjust.
Statue is hot, but you are absolutely right, paint job looks rushed......
He has good presence but I think the paint isn't up to scratch
This was the only Prime 1 Predator I didn’t get. I’m getting it now. Also I like the longer formate better, but I understand if you want to cut back. I will say that if you have a piece up and another statue reviewer has the same I’ll only watch yours because of your old formate.
Got mine and its an epic grail piece to me. However, on the face sculpt mine has a slight hole near the upper right mandible. Can you check and confirme that yours does not have this defect. Thanks Mr. X
Damn. Hate to say it but he looks better from far away. Not a fan of the paint job on his skin :/ the blotches look too thick, and plasticky which is a shame.

This is one that definitely looks a lot better in person. The flat paint on the skin texture is my only complaint. Also P1 made a mistake with the batteries for the plasma cannon they’re supposed to be AG1 batteries. I got an email from them saying so.

The paint on this predator is sadly Neca level. Looks very bad.
I preordered in full on this as soon as Prime 1 put it up! I'd seen the unpainted concept statue & immediately knew it was from the Big Game comic which was actually the first comic book I ever bought with my own money as a kid. Absolutely love it in my collection! Only con was the issue with the cannon batteries being incorrectly labeled causing me to make a few trips to find the right ones. And after seeing others with the masked portrait & how the bio-helmet is totally separate, made me regret not dropping the extra $50 just to have the mask set on the base while rocking the unmasked head on the statue. And I think the paint job is strategic because it's based off a comic book cover & not an actual live physical representation; they wanted a more drawn look hence no glossy skin texture.
I really like this one; one of the coolest predators I have seen.

Actually, Dark Horse no longer has the comic rights. They went to Marvel when Disney bought Fox. They are getting ready to put Aliens and Predator in the marvel comics.

I like your more in depth videos. If its because you don't have time, that's understandable. If you're just curious, I like more in depth and longer. Longer means us weirdos get to see more your beautiful, handsome face. It's like seeing Brad Pitt giving a statue review. Mrs. X is the luckiest woman in the world. (Can you tell how badly I want that Goro statue, handsome?)

I'm really digging this piece when I saw it and I'm surprised you got it already it's still saying on sideshow's website it's not available yet. I was really hoping for an X-Factor statue. It's almost there I see what you're saying about the skin texture and things and I knew this one was going to be a little different since it was the comic book based predator but I still think it's pretty damn cool.
I like the skin tone paint jobs on your other Predator statues more than this one, but I live this one overall. The stance, sculpt, base all look fantastic.

Those P1 predator statues are insane. I think they love that franchise as much as Batman. Statue looks really great and I love they are more of those display stands for the switch out portrait.
Rating aside, Mr.X would you say this is the most menacing/scariest Predator ever made? I would and im not timid by any stretch of the imagination.

I wonder if predators use human skeleton spine and skulls as feminine hygiene products as there is way too much blood on that haha. But after that grossness on this predator statue is soooo beautiful. Big game predator... isn't he the guy who is banned from fishing?....assembly looked fairly easy so that's a plus. Ohhhh light up mask is always a + yes unmasked is a badass portrait. I love his skin I think it looks really good. But your the X...pert.. :) I love the teeth they looks so realistic. I think it's a 4/5 as it's still a nice looking piece yay I was right :) I have been liking all the Facebook and Instagram pictures I am up to date on thoes just still catching up here great video as always take care Mr.X

I like it, and boringly enough agree with you on all your points. It´s as if the skin needed a little more shine or life to it. It´s not bad by any means, but if they had given it just a bit more surface texture, it would have been perfect! The face and the blood look awesome :-)
@The Xtreme Channel You can take a few dabs of water on the finger tips and apply it to the trophy necklaces and that will loosen up the bends. Make it hang more naturally and convincingly.

And if you think that he look's bad ass with the skull & spinal column, then you should see what could of happened to the courier had this piece had been damaged!!

I like this format better. It is quicker, but still allows you to capture the individual aspects as you walk through the review.
And just think I believe Disney owns predator and alien rights now so you can get a statue potentially in the future of venom versus predator

Looking at this compared to the promo pics is horrible. They ditched the netting and the paint is horrible. I'm so let down by this and glad I didn't pre-order it. I was looking forward to this a lot.

Sorry a miss for me as this looks just like the old sideshow Predator 1/5 line from the predators movie that i sold long time ago.Paint work was the same no netting ect..The berserker was the best of that lot.Still not bad but not great either, hope the jungle predator is better.....

I definitely miss the seperate scores on the concept, paint etc... just my opionion though!
