My understanding is that Irving Schott’s favorite “cigar cut” was the “Perfecto” and is the name he used to name his elite line of leather jackets in the 1920s, and still utilized today.
Hi Jon, do you think that now you’ve seen a Schott One Star from the late 40’s it backs up the claim/theory that the Durable Wild One jacket was a copy of the Schott design? Great video as always!
@@matthewreynolds9218 No I don’t since Durable had jackets out in the late 40’s as well. The exact “Perfecto” design was an evolution though for sure. No one will ever know who was the first to do that exact iteration. But everyone copied from everyone and Schott was no exception.
Bro, when are the Buco videos dropping? Also, I'd love to hear any history on these more obscure brands like Durable. Do you own any Trojan Leather jackets?
@@ibbjos08 Buco is coming next. As for history, I will only put out what I can 100% prove and unfortunately there is no definitive history on Durable, it’s all just speculation
I’ve never seen that tag before.. I’ve had many schott jackets but never any later than 1960’s. How in the world did you find those?! If you ever decide to sell, let me know. I think you and I are about the same size.. great work man totally impressed! Sorry got excited early on before i realized that those jackets are too big for me also lol
@@LeatherJacketJawnI just finished your video and you said they are all too big for you! Yep I’m a 38 sometimes a 36. Great jackets ! I enjoyed seeing those older labels!
I have a 618 steerhide from 1991.
Timeless.
