I played the whole game without killing anyone on the Redux PS4 version, I assumed that they cut this "good ending" (alternate) because the game was packaged with Last Light, which relied on the bad ending. Weird.
That's honestly the reason why I just stopped replaying Metro 2033. No matter what I tried I could never get the satisfaction out of getting the good ending for once.

@@chasconocaso1496 A good way to get the good ending is to find secret areas, you’ll know when you do cause it’ll play the positive karma jingle, plus they are normally accompanied by loot. Giving bullets to beggars and the kid at Riga that offers a tour helps. Listen to every NPC convo the whole way through and sometimes you’ll get positive karma (never bad karma) playing an instrument will net positive karma (not always but it’s good to play them all anyways to avoid missing one that does) And stealth through EVERY single mission that can be stealthed. Never kill other humans is also a given.
I realized that the dark ones were trying to communicate peace to me but I still preferred the bad ending. I thought they were lying and trying to manipulate me. Perhaps if they showed the dark ones doing some good things…
you need to get morality points by listening to conversations, killing only when required and other ingame choices, so you must replay the entire game =(

I wish this was the canon ending for the games and books. The bad ending is the canon ending for the first game and the last 2 games the good endings are canon. If you read Metro 2033, 2034, and 2035; Artyom doesn’t kill anyone until halfway through Metro 2035. He cry’s with tons of regrets and pain for about 5 pages.

This is a glitch that they haven’t fixed for some reason. No matter what ending I get, it always cuts to black and sends me back to the start menu before the end cutscene plays.
I don't really know if this happened to anyone else, I picked up Bourbon's gun from his pack then a few missions later, around when you join the Children of the Metro, everything I shot and killed with the gun set on fire.

You just have to explore, collect stuff and listen to conversations. Don’t worry about killing enemies. All hostiles can be killed without penalty maybe except the one mutant wolf mother in Moscow level.
In my end, the scene of the nuclear explosion did not appear, and the dark one did not appear in the real world, and they did not say we want peace, just the missiles launched and destroyed them ?!
It might have came to next gen but ill always prefer the original to the redux just look at the characters artyoms arms change from start to end from green camo suit you see ehen u play thr first mission in redux to a hazmat suit at the same part at thr end and when it ends hes wearing a brown jacjet armour and helmet no gloves plus it took to much away to make it look more up to date the only thing wrong with thr original was the Ai as it was to dumb and aimbotty

Idk how but for some reason i couldnt do stealth, im playing the redux version and no matter how hard i tried i couldnt go past anyone without being detected, i really tried to i was stuck, looking for tutorials and everything thinking it might be a bug but in the end i couldnt do it, idk if its the AI or the game or whatever, still I enjoyed the game and already starting a new game on last light, hopefully i dont have the same problem in last light

This is a glitch that they haven’t fixed for some reason. No matter what ending I get, it always cuts to black and sends me back to the start menu before the end cutscene plays.
I don't really know if this happened to anyone else, I picked up Bourbon's gun from his pack then a few missions later, around when you join the Children of the Metro, everything I shot and killed with the gun set on fire.
Maybe you were using special ammo, idk.

You just have to explore, collect stuff and listen to conversations. Don’t worry about killing enemies. All hostiles can be killed without penalty maybe except the one mutant wolf mother in Moscow level.

It might have came to next gen but ill always prefer the original to the redux just look at the characters artyoms arms change from start to end from green camo suit you see ehen u play thr first mission in redux to a hazmat suit at the same part at thr end and when it ends hes wearing a brown jacjet armour and helmet no gloves plus it took to much away to make it look more up to date the only thing wrong with thr original was the Ai as it was to dumb and aimbotty
