0:43 if you don’t have these already I’d recommend after figuring what the computers problem is, maybe perhaps purchasing a good reputable UPS (Battery Backups) it’s a little pricey but it’ll help with power conditioning and power backup for when you lose power and have to save your projects before shutting off your pc. Cyberpower has the CP1500 (1000 watts) Battery backup with pure sine wave it also has a color display and is around $230
Buy a couple. one for Yourself and one for Dan, or one powerful for both of you.
Having a form of battery backup and power conditioning provides a lot of benefits.
Battery backups are the GOAT! many corporations or (government entities 👀) utilize battery backups for all their technology, and because they're typically contracted with a supplier, they just toss out the UPS instead of replacing the battery. that's how i've obtained all of mine for the small price of buying a new battery for the interior.

I live in an older home with trees growing next to the electrical wires on the street out front, so our supply is pretty unreliable on windy days, hot summer days and during the rain. I have one kinda beefy battery backup for both PCs in the house and I cannot tell you how many times it has saved our computers. Last PC fried because of an electrical surge when the power returned after an outage, cost us something like 3k to replace everything. Never again since buying the battery backup.
How about a challenge where you build a house out of debug, and only debug items. Also, the only skill item in debug--other than books--is the fishing post, you could put a small pond in the back and have Stanley go fishing--or gathering frogs. Remember that--scenario?

do a random swatch challenge so basically you roll a number for say the swatch of your couch and whatever number you land on that's the swatch you have to use so like you land on 3 so pick whatever couch you want but only use the third swatch and randomize for all your other items too you can use whatever object you want as long as you use the swatch number you landed on
if you roll a high number and only one item in that category has enough swatches to use that number, you have to use that item. If none of the items have enough swatches for the high number, you can roll again.
@@SomeoneBeginingWithI or you count until you reach the end of the swatches and then start over like if you roll a 7 and your object doesn’t have 7 swatches say it has 5 swatches you count to 5 then go back to the first swatch and continue counting until you reach 7

A challenge - build a house with max floors + basement!
Possibly controversial opinion: I think that we should have to pay for the mailboxes. 😅 hear me out, I’m thinking it would be the same has how there’s a default free wallpaper, and there’s a default free flooring, but we have to pay for other floorings and wallpapers, so my thoughts are that the default mailbox that spawns on the lot should be free, and all the other ones should have sort sort of price to them. Lemme know whatcha think! 😄
I only laugh at the mention of everything going wrong in life right now because I too have been having an insanely rough week and I'm glad I'm not the only one. That isn't a "haha, glad you're week is horrible" it's a "haha, I can 100% relate to how you're feeling right now and you're not alone" kind of laugh lol you still gave a great video for us and I hope that everything will get better in your life!

I feel you- in the same week, my dog had surgery, my PC's GPU failed, my parents' laptop started blue screening constantly, my brother's laptop wouldn't turn on due to a faulty battery AND my brother forgot his phone in his pocket and put it through the washing machine. 🤦♀️
Dog made a full recovery, I fixed the blue screens by reinstalling Windows, brother learned an expensive lesson about checking his pockets, and my friend travelled four hours to install a new laptop battery and help me remove the liquid cooling from my PC and put a new GPU, SSD, and fan cooling in it. What a week 😅
Next challange should be building a house but you cant use blue
I don't want to be a hater, but I was really looking forward to seeing what monstrocity actually using the cheapest item of every category would yield. I know she clickbaits the challenges a fair amount (see the tens of "challenges" where she just changes the rules or the "can I make a fully functional tiny home for 8 sims" that's just cheated tile count), so maybe falling for it is on me, but it's just getting a little annoying. Accurate title would be "building a 5000-simoleon cottage in the sims". Actually using the cheapest items for the horrid meme of it would be way more interesting.
you could do a bulding with only THE cheapest item in every category, so like the cheapest single bed, cheapest kids bed, etc
Rather than restricting eco lifestyle, I say do the challenges without using debug at all.

What about a challenge with NO BUDGET LIMIT but you HAVE TO use really the cheapest items. Like you have to use the first bed or have no bed at all. And use the cheapest TV or the no TV at all. And if there are like two items then you can choose but if there is 50$ and 55$, you have to use the 50$ And like packs and debug are allowed

A other challenge you can do is spin the wheel for a room and you have to use all the money and the range can be from 3,000 to 10,000 maybe or something like that just a suggestion 😊!!! Because the last time you made one like the suggestion I really liked it!! Thank you if you do!!

SIMSIE regarding urbpc blue screening, provided its bot happening bc the PC is old/outdated, if there's other weird issues going on and the PC seems like its crazy on the fritz CHECK YOUR RAM STICKS. my new, 1 year old custom built PC had been crashing constantly for months and i took it to get looked at and they said one of the ram sticks was bad, but now i think they both are/were bc they took the old one out and (im honestly just thinking the brand is not great..) it was good for a day or two when they said it should run fine on one till i could get the replacements for them to install but now its back to crashing and acting weird. hopefully things calm down in ur life tho and become less stressful!

Hey Kayla! If you to settings, options, then gameplay (i think) it lets you change the social menu back to the traditional one and I think it’s in the top right corner. I’ve been watching your gameplay vids and I’ve heard you mention you were getting confused from the menu so I thought I’d let you know!❤😊
My computer use to blue screen all the time as well. It was so annoying. We found out that my pre built PC would overheat (jump from 40C to 80C and cause random processor usage spikes and ultimately blue screen. The manufacturer of my pc decided not use enough fans to properly cool my i9 and made the whole thing unusable after a year. 😢

I feel the blye screening on the sims. Happened to me for a year straight. In attempts to fix it we were replacing each piece in the computer itself but ended up whipping all my sims data(devistating as was doing this so i could play the game for longer than 10 minutes). The issue ended up being the power supply.
I'm sorry that this week is already so stressful. I'm glad Snap is doing better at least. The video was "short but sweet." And I can see using this house (with a few alterations that I always make) for a Sim just starting out. (It's a nice change from my ultramodern "starters".)
I had surgery on Tuesday (last week)to remove a tumor in my brain and I think I’m doing as good as your cat and I have been enjoying your rags to riches as I recoup, so thank you for that and I’m praying for all your cats and give yourself some grace your good.

I spent 3 hours trying to figure out why my "windows" key would not work or recognize a press - turned out since my laptops' function key to turn off the mouse thingy is right next to turning off the windows key ----- uggggggh.
I was sitting here waiting and praying that the mirror in the bedroom would turn into an easel and nothing worked 😔

i like to use the cheapest things in the sims when building... it hits home. i made a werewolf sim and her house had a lot of cheap and destroyed things. everything was broke, but it looked sick and i just love it.
