no because when she did that i literally said out loud “it’s not that deeepppp kayla” 😭😭 i wish she wasnt so matchy-matchy all the time !! not everything has to match, thats not even realistic !
I mean, this is a person who has literally had a prianha pond in her front yard during her Let's Play, and has both intentionally and unintentionally killed her Sims in it...
Sims Challenge: have your sim make some paintings and design each room based on whatever they come up with. (Suggesting it again because I think this would be a fun challenge!)
can we appreciate that even though kayla has been going through a rough time recently, shes still stayed very calm and has carried on posting for us. love the vids kayla! keep it up!!!❤❤
Simmers: THE WOODS NEVER MATCH Kayla: **accidentally discovers this peach tone during this challenge** I mean the woods still don't match a lot but it's nice to know that one exists.
Maybe you should make a family who wears clothes in only the default swatch. Their last name could be DeFault. And I would switch the keyboard out for a desk and computer 😊
This is one of my favorite builds you’ve done and I think it’s because you couldn’t overthink it-you just went with the flow and I think it turned out great! I’m also a chronic overthinker so maybe i should try this too
I can only imagine how heavy and painful everything is feeling right now, I'm so so sorry. I'm so glad you can find some comfort here. Sending lots of love to you
That's my favorite wood swatch in the game, that's why I use Eco Lifestyle, DHD and Horse Ranch a LOT lol. This house is so cute but I'm not a fan of how jarring the living room rug looked with the soft mints, I was hoping it'd be swapped out last minute for the whole vid 😂
im early so im here to say that ts4 needs to bring back ts2 swatch system! a decent amount of things you could change the color between swatches of certain parts similar to create a style (but waaaaaaaaaaay less buggy and laggy)
13:07 simsie picking that icky sage bed over the second yellow wooden bed broke me. She then got rid of the yellow rug 🫠 The bathroom is/was my default setup 😂 and id use the black round rug in the center. Thank gods ive expanded. I definitely feel like i couldnt do this challenge this well 😂
Another challenge idea: Building a house, but it's in the shape of Florida! Edit: Other ideas include only using the 3rd or Xth number swatch for all build items. Or bringing back the wheel to determine room size, budget, and style. Or revisiting James' or Plumbella's RNGs
Mmmmm same challenge idea except you have the house already built/furnished and then change everything to their default swatch. Everything that once looked nice and cohesive ends up being the house equivalent of a randomly generated townie outfit
I think it's a good build tbh. It seemed like there were two sliding doors to the back. I think the one of them wasn't necessary. A book case could have taken it's place leaving the entrance less squishy. Otherwise, this was good normal looking house that could fit in many neighborhoods!
Kayla! I’m in Orlando visiting my Aunt for the week. I’m 29 and I’ve had a bit of a rough patch over the last several months and finally decided to take FMLA due to a chronic migraine condition. My momma forced me to come down here with her so I could relax haha. I’m in bed with a migraine starting and watching this video to get through it. I haven’t played in a couple of years but I’ve watched your videos for like a decade and I still enjoy them. Thanks for being a cool bean. Hope you and the fam are well🖤
it's honestly fun to see weird colors bc its more realistic that way in my opinion like the usual household doesn't always have pretty colored pots and stuff ex) my house has a neon blue colored bath towel in our main bathroom lol
Do a random swatch challenge as in every object is a random swatch you roll a number and count until you get to the swatch ike if you roll a 3 for a fridge you have to use the third swatch please do this I beg you
@@user-vl9yu1tq6h YES I was going to say pick a random number like 3 and do the third swatch of everything, but your suggestion is even more fun. That way we get the chaos plus the surprise of random swatches we might normally miss
Challenge ideas: - Picking the wallpaper before anything else - No color palette: none of the colors can match, eclectic interior - All different wood grains/colors: how to tie everything together?
It would be fun to see you do a build where you only use swatches you think you've never used before. I know it'd be off memory so not perfect but still fun for someone who builds as often as you 🥰
I don't know if there's a build challenge that involves the pack styles. Like build a house like Selva dorada style or Sulani style for example, every world in the Sims has a "vibe" that you can feel and it will awesome to see a construction and you know from what pack is inspired. Or maybe constructions with story, like building a house for a double agent, or a hidden alien trying to fit with another's sims hehe.
I would love if someone did this challenge but used every second swatch of an item or every last swatch for a new twist on it instead of using the default each time.
Its funny that you like more realistic play/builds but you have to make everything match. When realistically you go to someone’s house not everything matches and not everything is the same color lol
Challenge idea: intentionally making a build where the wood tones don't match. I'll use my own home as an examole: I have black shutters and exterior door, white interior doors, white trim, dark brown floors, cherry wood kitchen table, black cabinets, tan bookshelves, ash coffee table, medium wood console table, and that's just what I can see from my living room. There's more throughout. It looks good in the Sims, but I feel like most homes don't have wood tones that perfectly match in real life so it may be a fun challenge to just not even try... At least for Kayla who likes to have matching wood tones throughout her builds
Not choosing the better bathroom set because the toilet paper doesn’t match is so unhinged.
no because when she did that i literally said out loud “it’s not that deeepppp kayla” 😭😭 i wish she wasnt so matchy-matchy all the time !! not everything has to match, thats not even realistic !
YES 👏
I mean, this is a person who has literally had a prianha pond in her front yard during her Let's Play, and has both intentionally and unintentionally killed her Sims in it...
I wanted to cry when she got rid of the gold because of the toilet paper
I adore Kayla. But my god yes 😂
Sims Challenge: have your sim make some paintings and design each room based on whatever they come up with. (Suggesting it again because I think this would be a fun challenge!)
Ooh this is a really good idea!
nice idea
Watched Syd Mac do this once, but hers was much more chaotic. Would love to see Kayla try
@stormwright8300 i like her better ngl, so refreshing and colorful
I love this idea
It would be fun to do a “last swatch” build challenge where you use the last swatch of every item!
Yes
So glad I get my daily dose of Kayla and sims even when u don’t stream lmao
Ikr I always look forward for an upload 🫶🏼
@@Ishipbylerr oh hey!

Simmers: THE WOODS NEVER MATCH
Kayla: **accidentally discovers this peach tone during this challenge**
I mean the woods still don't match a lot but it's nice to know that one exists.
as someone who always goes for the darker wood, I would not have discovered this by myself
I would never have guessed they're only default swatches, this is such a cute build!
I’m so excited for this build! I hope Snap is doing ok ❤
Same. Snap is a cutie
Maybe you should make a family who wears clothes in only the default swatch. Their last name could be DeFault. And I would switch the keyboard out for a desk and computer 😊

i love the warm wood color, the whole build looks modern and neat! dream home decorator truly is the savior haha
I know you're struggling right now and I appreciate you posting. My brother died last week and these videos bring me happiness. Thank you.
I am so sorry for your loss🩷
I wish you the best possible grieving process and all the internet hugs
I'm so sorry to hear that, I wish peace, understanding and happiness for you and your family 💓
so sorry for your loss, i hope you find your peace and i wish nothing but the best for you and your loved ones🌸

@@unknowable4147 thank you.
I don’t think I ever use items default swatches so im honestly excited to see how this turns out lol

Same. The white/wood/mint went great, but that rug... I don't understand that choice ^^
Same! I like that living room rug, but it didn't match
I've noticed this a lot. A lot of Simmers seem to think that rug has mint in it when it doesn't. I've seen it multiple times with multiple Simmers.
@@emtims1670 yeah idk where the "mint" is in that rug.
Same, the rug looked fine without the mint accents, but they did NOT go together at all
you should try a decades build challenge! so each house you build would need to be true to the 50s, 60s, 70s, etc!
Her voice is so calming, i love listening to her videos to sleep 😊
me too haha
Me too 😂😂😂
Really? She stresses me out 😂
@@misha8112 that only happens to me when i try to sleep while listening to her legacy challenge 😅

it broke me that she changed the PINK BED to the icky sage one 😭😭😭 the pink bed from hs years was literally perfect
You should try to do a challenge where you have to build a house but only use the pre-built and styled rooms by EA!
The challenges feel so classic, I love watching them!!
Challenge idea! Use the Simray to transform 5 whatevers into 5 new furniture items for you to build a house around. 5 toilets? Make it work!
Another challenge idea: Building a house, but it's in the shape of Florida!
Edit: Other ideas include only using the 3rd or Xth number swatch for all build items. Or bringing back the wheel to determine room size, budget, and style. Or revisiting James' or Plumbella's RNGs

its so fun to see you push your comfort zone and creativity further in every video!
This color scheme is really nice. I like it.
I open TH-cam and am sooo excited to see this challenge, it’s such a fun one to watch! 😇✨
Another video idea similar to this one: building in the sims using your favourite items in your least liked swatch
my cat LOVES you kayla. she sits and watches and bats at the screen
Aww
Is there any chance you could try some kind of wheel challenge again soon? I love that you’re doing more build challenges again :)
It’s giving a deli build, no shade at all, full appreciation to you both, it’s just got her signature airy feel to the floor plan and colour scheme :)
I have just started watching so now I'm so keen to see how this unfolds
I think it's a good build tbh. It seemed like there were two sliding doors to the back. I think the one of them wasn't necessary. A book case could have taken it's place leaving the entrance less squishy. Otherwise, this was good normal looking house that could fit in many neighborhoods!
Yeah i think the dining room would've fit better in the kitchen where one of the doors is
This is literally my favorite wood tone I change every build to this color i literally love this sm
How about a challenge where you build a house after placing all of the furniture 😂
this is weirdly the most realistic house ive seen in the sims i rlly like it
i love your videos!!

The way I was SCREAMING at Kayla to color the porches 😂
She does it
@@sophiag612 I saw! I just meant before she did
This is my favourite wood colour for a reason, even the Eco Lifestyle wood flooring comes in that by default and I use it all the time
challenge aside, this is such a great floor plan actually
Lovely! This brings me back to sims 1 days when objects didn’t have color swatches 😭
Sending love for snaps
i love the layout of this house!! the layouts of ur homes are always so spacey i wish mine were more like that haha
Now change all the objects you have used to the last swatch to see how that turns out 😄
This build came out so cute and cozy!!! Love it very much ❤
I love that this doesn’t even look like a challenge build- it’s so pretty
so I am not the only one who wants the metals to match in the bathroom.

this would take literally hours to roll for every single object, that’s like 150-200 rolls per build

this is a great idea! maybe even take it a step further and spin a wheel or random number for the object by category lol

lol the way that beige wood matches everything in the game is the reason why i build in this color/style exclusively

You did so good! The house looks amazing 😍 I think this style would be closest to Scandinavian?
This build was so nice! I loved the abundance of wood all over the place!
This wood tone has been my go-to colour scheme since Tiny Living was released
this turned out so good!
I love the video so much effort put into the video
I absolutely love this outside and I struggle making exteriors but I love doing the interiors. Gimme a shell, and I'll shine! lol
It turned out so cute!
Since we’re talking about wood swatches so much how about ‚building in the sims but only using wooden furniture‘? That could be very interesting
best of your builds for me. love pop of colours
This is such a good house, the layout!
I actually love this house I can’t believe it’s just default swatches
This is ironically so nice and such a cute home ❤
You’re such an inspiration Kayla! ❤
Very nice editing in this video!
this reminds me of the new builds here in the mountain west region! (co, wy, etc.) but much nicer
It would be so fun if you made like a really dangerous house lmao. Like create a ton of fire hazards and a cowplant and a Murphy bed
This room especially the living room area might be my favorite house ever
This is so good. Now you should try using base game default swatches 😈
the changing of the toilet paper cuz it doesnt match is far too relatable! its literally invisible but i still care 😭🤚
What if you did a build challenge where you have to delete the whole build and restart from scratch every single time you make a mistake?
I love this build!
you need to do some videos building with CC furniture :3
PLEASE build be a house 😭 you’re so good
I live for these kinds of challenges

For a real challenge do default swatch and just base game!

One bathroom is bad, but in the sims you can have 7 bathroom but they all will go to one 😂😂
tempted to try this on my own but with the last swatches instead.. or you could try it for a video lol
I'd love to see you do a challenge where you decorate a shell like 3 times in different ways
I would love if someone did this challenge but used every second swatch of an item or every last swatch for a new twist on it instead of using the default each time.
Kayla! We’re all wishing for snap’s fast recovery!! ❤
TBH... it's probably one of my fav houses
i get the vibe of sims houses making this challenge hard but whose real life house actually has matching wood tones?
This build is totally my vibe
I literally said out loud, "que bella quedó esa casa, nena!", which translates into "girl, that house turned out beautiful!"
Its funny that you like more realistic play/builds but you have to make everything match. When realistically you go to someone’s house not everything matches and not everything is the same color lol
