This has to be my favourite ball routine ever. She moved the ball so exquisitely with the perfect choice of music. Elegance and charisma was on display in this routine by Yana.
I feel sorry for all the future fans who will only know of the Olympic Champions and never hear of Yana. That cursed clubs routine was a costly yet minor stain in what was otherwise a stellar career. She dominated the field and every apparatus like no other in her generation but the ball is perhaps where it is shown more clearly. While other gymnasts may perform more difficult skills, none has ever made the ball look like a magnetic extension of their body like she has. Not Kabaeva, not Kanaeva, not Mamun and not the Averinas. Only Yana.
I have to agree with this. Kanaeva was the ribbon queen. Dina Averina is impressive with clubs. And Yana is the queen of hair. Anyway, they are all great with all 4 elements, I mean, Yana was also a wonder with the ribbon, hoop and the clubs and Dina is a wonder with the ribbon and the hoop.

I first fell in love with Yana when she did her routine with Chopin nocturne but we don’t have rhythmic gymnastics in my country so I never got the chance to do it so instead I majored in music so I can play gracefully for gymnasts like her :) at least I somehow participated in rhythmic gymnastics:) thank you Yana ♥️

"La Bohème" was better in my opinion. I think Yana got injured here and thus gave up her "spinning ball on the tip of the finger while doing front walkover" skill.
Wow!! Since watching this my expectations have gotten high!! I've yet to see anyone since then have a more developed n flowing skill as she has!! I don't believe anyone is out there who can match her..... I'll wait tho lol

Why weren't there individual apparatus finals in Rio? Yana would have won all 4. Deservedly. Beyond comparison, above and beyond any other rhythmic gymnast.
It's a shame she had that injury in 2015 😔 she had the most amazing relevé and control before! Nonetheless this is so beautiful!!! My 2nd favorite of her after her ball 2015
but i think she will be always more remebred and iconic than mamun, she revolutioned RG without extreme bofy difficutlies, but an innovative apparatus work, fludity and the search of the perrfect cleaness
This code of points in this video is so balanced perfection, fluidity, difficulty and beauty, Yana wouldn't stand a chance with disgusting rush fest what RG is now in 2020
actually, I think juniors do well with this CoP, they're expressive and clearly enjoying their performances. Also Belarussians are doing great, I hate what Viner did with it though.. I can't stand watching Averinas anymore 😥
