the thing is like every phone and device is a 'go' like how many 'go's do we need?? lol no, I've found more devices I've loved from Flosses reviews than many others out there (really gotta stop trusting Amazon reviews ^.^).
What separates Floss from the rest of the big reviewers is that he's not above reviewing budget phones. He's kept the formula that works for him and he still interacts with his viewers.
I just bought this phone on Saturday, upgrading from a Note 9. My husband took over my Note 9. After spending MANY hours getting it set up exactly the way I like it, I have to emphatically state that I LOVE THIS PHONE!!!!

Looking at what you can get for around 500 bucks today (or even less), Apple and Samsung could do a LOT better with their flagships that cost 2-3 times more... I can't justify that prices anymore
True my friend I broke an s22 plus and bought a realme gt which I believe would have been the best phone I ever had but the service for calls sucks. And I only paid 300 for it. So these company's can do waay better for sure. Opening my new moto 2021 edge right now.

Anyone remember moto maker where you could truly customize the look of your phone? A lot of colors and even choices of wood and leather backs. You were able to customize the logo and even the button color. Those were the days 😁
LOVE it... Floss' "quick" real reviews go for 5x longer than other reviewers and give you 100x more information. Nice phone, but I'd still go for the 5a over the Motorola Edge.
I just ordered this but was looking for a thorough review to make sure I made the right choice. This is the first time I've seen one of your videos and I'm glad I did. Very good in depth review that seems to cover everything you need to know to decide if it's the right phone for you.
@simon collins I put it in a case right away so I don't feel the actual phone. In the case I don't notice any flexing or cheapness to it. I will say that it seems to be a good deal at 500 but for 700 you have a lot more viable options.
I managed to grab a OnePlus 8T for 500, these '3rd party' companies like moto OnePlus and google are shredding Apple and Samsung in bang for buck! Looks like moto is even stepping up the game here

The one thing I always liked about Moto was how you could customize it. Back when I had my Moto X Pure Editor, I changed it to where Google Assistant would activate to "Skynet".

I had the same problem Stephannie, I went to buy the new I phone 13 max and they said it would be January before it could be delivered. I couldn't wait because I broke my old phone and it was time for an upgrade, so like you out of desperation I settled for the Motorola because the sales guy said it was a beast for the price, I am glad I got it because this thing is amazing and this review helped me out big time!!
I'm sure you made a right choice. I've been using Motorolas for over 7 years (only two of them actually) and I loved both. I gave a try to Pixel 6 Pro which is double the price and I was very disappointed. I just returned the Pixel and ordered this one. It's going to smell like I just found $500 😊 and I'm sure I'll like it

I think headphones are a must for every phone still, despite Bluetooth alternative. Still love my Motorola Edge 5G, seriously Motorola has the best gesture set, comes in so usefully.
I have last year's moto edge and it has dual speakers and a headphone jack, why would Motorola not have that on this years?..hmmm. The only thing it doesn't have is wireless charging..but it has everything else and for 500 bucks it's awesome!
Got this for grandparents after watching your video (they have been using a note 8), and im extremely surprised how good this phone is for the price ($300 on amazon). Night and day difference in speed/size/feel etc compared to their note 8s. Hooked it up with mint mobile service and its been excellent.

I feel like they shouldn't be calling it the Edge anymore since they got rid of the curved display. Outside of that the device looks pretty good for the price.
@@ArmyGreensTanBoots My 2020 Edge Plus was one of the best best phones I ever owned and felt high quality but I think the full gorilla glass back is not good for a phone. I dropped my Edge Plus from very short distance off the couch and the back completely shattered but I put my case on afterwards and didn't to worry about nothing because the screen was unphased tho. I'm glad they went to plastic frame with gorilla glass 3 screen, just wish they kept the OLED though but Motorola has beautiful LCD displays especially with the 144Hz freshrate.
Totally agree hole punch is the best front camera. I will say I prefer the punch in the corner, at which point it can interfere with OS functions but it's the absolute least intrusive option for content.
I've had this phone for 5 months now. It's not the fastest or fanciest device around, but it works great. It really should have stereo speakers, especially since Motorola has put them in the G series before. Still a good phone nonetheless.

I started with an S3. I went from the S3 to an LG G3, to an S7, to an S10e, and finally to a Motorola Edge 2021. I will say that I have loved android phones since the S3. Back then, Samsung dominated Apple in all benchmarks, and in most discernable characteristics. Now, it's a much tighter race with a lot of new players. I stuck with Samsung for a long time because it was what I knew. And I loved them. However, the Motorola Edge is a phenomenal value. Granted, the one I have doesn't have IP 67 or 68, it doesn't have stereo speakers, and it doesn't have an AMOLED display. However, it's UI is vastly better than Samsung's imo. I say that as a Samsung fan boy. I only have a Snapdragon 778G and it blazes through every day activities. No lag whatsoever. Period. The camera is pretty damn good in good light, which is when I like to take pictures anyway, and it's best feature is the battery life. 2 day phone. Awesome. I picked it up for $250 and I'll never ever buy another new flagship. My next phone will most likely be a Motorola. Those are my thoughts.
I had the older moto edge plus when they first came out... Now I have a Google pixel 5a and I will say that the Moto Edge was better in every category.
@@EM-cj7tu yes. Moto did try edge last year and priced it an $1000 but had few sales as it gave only 1 OS update. Hope Moto comes back with a $1000 phone and 3 OS updates and 4 years security update. Anyways I bought e20 Pro irdescent cloud colour 2 days back and m loving it. Still Moto needs to improve a lot in their camera department.
Motorola is a really underrated for the quality of the phones they make !!!! and floss knows that !! i have an older Moto E4 and i just love it ..... its my first time really liking the company for its product !!! imma wait for android 12 and then upgrade ..... and its gonna be another Moto .....i cant live without the peek display now !!!
I agree. I have the One Hyper which is a mid-range phone, but the battery and performance is flawless. Is runs most games and apps perfectly. The moto E3 was my first Motorola phone. It's good to see how far they've came along and I never had a problem with Motorola.

I just returned my new and very disappointing Pixel 6 Pro and ordered this one for half the price. I'm pretty sure I'll be happier with this one, I am a Motorola user and I love my Z2 force. I will see in two days, pretty excited

I know most people hate LCD's in comparison, but a relatively large percentage of the population has an OLED sensitivity. If I look at my OnePlus 7T for 10+ minutes straight it makes me nauseous even with OnePlus' DC dimming on. It's good to see an actual decent spec phone with an LCD. Only thing keeping me from grabbing it right now is the single speaker. For a phone Moto plans to sell for $700 eventually its crazy to only have a single speaker.
I have the s21 ultra and my company just gave these to us, I must say that for the money the moto edge is a bomb compromise!! It has all you really need!

I picked it up for $250 and I'll never ever buy another new flagship. My next phone will most likely be a Motorola. Those are my thoughts.
I had the older moto edge plus when they first came out... Now I have a Google pixel 5a and I will say that the Moto Edge was better in every category.
I had Moto vision & now pixel 4a, yup overall Moto is good. Will by e20 pro or X30. Let's c.

@@EM-cj7tu yes. Moto did try edge last year and priced it an $1000 but had few sales as it gave only 1 OS update.
Hope Moto comes back with a $1000 phone and 3 OS updates and 4 years security update.
Anyways I bought e20 Pro irdescent cloud colour 2 days back and m loving it.
Still Moto needs to improve a lot in their camera department.
How do you compare these to the Samsung galaxy A52 5G? Witch is better?

Motorola is the King of the upper midrange market. My mom loved her Motorola phones never wanted anything else when she was alive .

I agree. I have the One Hyper which is a mid-range phone, but the battery and performance is flawless. Is runs most games and apps perfectly. The moto E3 was my first Motorola phone. It's good to see how far they've came along and I never had a problem with Motorola.

I just returned my new and very disappointing Pixel 6 Pro and ordered this one for half the price. I'm pretty sure I'll be happier with this one, I am a Motorola user and I love my Z2 force. I will see in two days, pretty excited

@@ay3514 it's great, I love everything about it. Only thing is camera is not as good as Pixel but that's typical for Motorolas, they never had great cameras
The video was worth watching just to see him go left on Asphalt 9. I wish Moto would go all out and make a premium phone. They have low tier and mid-tier game.

This was super helpful..it is on sale for 399.99 from motorola..they put 2 speakers in the 2022 model but still no headphone jack. It is 499.99. I need a break from samsung. Will check and see what else i can find. White shoes is cute

I know most people hate LCD's in comparison, but a relatively large percentage of the population has an OLED sensitivity. If I look at my OnePlus 7T for 10+ minutes straight it makes me nauseous even with OnePlus' DC dimming on.
It's good to see an actual decent spec phone with an LCD. Only thing keeping me from grabbing it right now is the single speaker. For a phone Moto plans to sell for $700 eventually its crazy to only have a single speaker.
