  • Botswana Vs Namibia. Which Country is better?
Botswana, officially known as the Republic of Botswana, is a landlocked country in Southern Africa. The Kalahari Desert covers up to 70% of Botswana's land area, making it topographically flat. South Africa borders it on the south and southeast, Namibia on the west and north, and Zimbabwe on the north-east. It is connected to Zambia by the Kazungula Bridge, which spans the Zambezi River. Botswana has a population of little over 2.3 million inhabitants, making it one of the world's most sparsely populated countries. Gaborone, the country's capital and largest city, has a population of 11.6 percent. It was one of the poorest countries in the world in the late 1960s, with a GDP per capita of roughly US$70 per year. It has since progressed to become an upper-middle-income country with one of the world's fastest-growing economies. Namibia, on the other hand, is a South African country legally known as the Republic of Namibia. Its western border is formed by the Atlantic Ocean. Zambia and Angola border it on the north, Botswana on the east, and South Africa on the south and east. The Botswanan right bank of the Zambezi River separates the two countries by fewer than 200 meters, while not bordering Zimbabwe. Namibia declared independence from South Africa on March 21, 1990, following the Namibian War of Independence. The capital and largest city of Namibia is Windhoek. Namibia is a member of the United Nations, the Southern African Development Community, the African Union, and the Commonwealth of Nations. Thank you for taking the time to join us. Today, we're comparing Botswana and Namibia to see who is the superior country. We'll compare and contrast the two countries based on geography and terrain, infrastructure, tourism, and a variety of other factors. As the comparison continues, stay tuned to Africa Reloaded.

I’ve noticed , where South Africa doesn’t take the number 1 spot , Namibia does , where Namibia doesn’t , South Africa does , very consistent, despite the two countries having to get their independence in the 90s they surely leveled up the playing field ,, & people still don’t believe me when I say Southern Africa is the developed part of Africa

@@pushingp6945 thats absolutely true.both countries are new yet have achieved so much in a short period of time. If the 3 countries can come together no country in Africa and the developing world can come close to it...
      e.g. economy 2022 est
      🇿🇦 $ 435 billion
      🇧🇼 $ 16 billion
      🇳🇦 $ 14 billion
      Total $ 465 billion

      🇿🇦 $ 1.2 trillion
      🇧🇼 $ 44 billion
      🇳🇦 $ 26 billion

My honest review. I have been to both countries. Namibia has many developed towns, racially/culturally diverse, much better infrastructure and lots of investment/job opportunities. Namibian towns like Swakopmund, Ludetitz, Windhoek have a European feel. Botswana has the upper edge in economic management and social security, but there are no jobs nor substantial investment in Botswana. In terms of infrastructure, the capital city Gaborone is slightly developed but not as much, as you will find cows roaming in the streets. The rest of the country is bushes, rural areas, game rserves and desert. However, Botswana has a good education system compared to Namibia. Namibia attracts a lot of foreign investment, they have beautiful coasts as well.

@@tyronejones7341 I notice a lot of people only mention about Germans whenever they talk about racism in Namibia. Seems you guys get your facts from documentaries. Which all have the same storyline about how Germans took land, genocide, show a few black people in informal settlements and one or two white farmers.
Fact is the majority of black people did not lose their land. The ones that got parts of their land dispossessed are the Hereros, Namas and Damaras. Also another fact is that out of a population of 200k white people Germans are only 30k. And there are only around 4k commercial farms, of which 70% is owned by whites. So not all white people own huges tracks of land. A lot of them don't even own houses, they rent.
Another fact, the most desirable agricultural land is in the two Kavango regions and Zambezi region and not an inch of that was taken by white people. Instead what was taken was arid land in the central region which is only suitable for cattle and sheep farming.

@@amapolotv5201 Ag Relax, nobody is hating.🙄
Their approach is not smart as it is pining two countries against each other, we don’t need that kind of energy as a continent.

Botswana loves & respects Namibia. Most people from Botswana (I'm one) would respectfully and happily agree that Namibian infrastructure is superior (Namibia became industrialized earlier, benefiting from great infrastructure developments, but at great human cost, i.e. apartheid, genocide, slavery, all of which were absent in the then agrarian Botswana).

Hi:) Botswana loves & respects Namibia. Most people from Botswana (I'm one) would respectfully and happily agree that while Bots has a stronger economy and HDI, Namibian infrastructure is superior (Namibia became industrialized earlier, benefiting from great infrastructure developments, but at great human cost, i.e. apartheid, genocide, slavery, all of which were absent in the then agrarian Botswana).
