- Today we are going to be talking about the evolution of trashy reality TV shows, and I’m not talking about competition or love game shows. Those are great TV too, but we are going to be focusing on the gritty and ratchet shows like Jersey Shore, Bad Girls Club, any Kardashian show, and lots more. We are going to be talking about how different the new reality TV shows are now compared to the past ones.

i used to love bgc but i cannot stand baddies 😂 i watched the first two seasons and they lost me. its just a bunch of drunk women fighting and one situation is stretched for TWO episodes. i cant support a network that platforms abuse like blueface and bluetooth's show
not Bluetooth 😂😂 yeah I totally agree! I don’t have the subscription so I haven’t seen full episodes, but just seeing the clips & hearing the fans talk it seems like they drag out the problems for so long because they’re running out of ideas. I’m actually surprised baddies went on for this many seasons & have more coming!

@@royalrkives I know right! I know a lot of it is for nostalgia purposes, but some things we should leave it the way it ended. If they’re not going to bring it back in the right way or better, then they shouldn’t do it at all. 😭
I've been watching reality tv since surreal life on vh1...and yes it has changed, people were more authentic before they knew what fame could bring...and then social media amplified the bs...i miss the celebrity dating shows...they were funny af....and baby, black hair has evolved through the years 😂
You’re completely right when you said social media amplified the bs! Everyone wants to be a famous influencer or artist now and they feel like reality tv will be the platform that elevates their careers. Unfortunately, I feel like it often does the opposite and taints their image instead!
I’m currently 31 & I’ve definitely seen the growth of these reality shows over the years yet alone the decades. I have my fair share of favorites but I don’t every single one of them on every channel. I just hate the content have to be so violent and way over the top
I totally agree! The old reality shows used to have so much depth in their storylines. It felt much more authentic but still entertaining. Nowadays, I feel like a lot of these shows rely on violence and shock value to become viral for a moment.
@@Keliforniamedia yup exactly 💯 the list of those shows can go on… Real Housewives, love and hip hop, growing up hip hop (we tv) marriage boot camp, bachelor and the bachelorette and so on and so forth. Even THE BAD BOYS CLUB on Zeus are so ratchet and sloppy yet alone in our faces
@@devantebaines2203 I haven't even watched Bad Boys Club but I heard Orlando Brown was on it and I used to love watching him on Disney Channel! Zeus seems like a platform where a lot of former TV stars go to just to get their name back out there for a moment. Everything is about being viral and social media famous now!
@@Keliforniamedia you right definitely about going viral for views and ratings for the networks and the stars themselves to get clout. I’ve seen the bad boys club and it’s pretty good & alright to say the least honestly lol but overall just a hot old mess with these groups of men who really throw down in fights and drama. Seeing Orlando Brown was interesting, just strange to see in a reality show like that

it'a so badddd but i loved badgirls club and i was def watching it too young
same here! It is so entertaining and it doesn’t help they put some of the seasons on Hulu & Peacock! It’s def a guilty pleasure for me😭
