I have both turtlewow and ascension installed and working perfectly fine on my linux PC, and playing with an xbox controller configured through Steam! Very relaxing! 😍😂
As a hardcore pvper I just couldn't stick with Ascension, giving classes too many abilities disrupts the restraints intentionally put on classes for both class flavor and overall balancing. I ran into the same problem playing Season of Discovery, the devs gave too many tools to some classes and too much front loaded power and it completely broke the pvp system. Number adjustments are not enough to make up for imbalanced toolkits. It's also very hard to play a character when you can never be sure exactly what the other players are running. Watching elite lvl classic pvp videos, you get a combination of game/class knowledge plus individual player skill.
Havent watched till the end yet but i 100% agree with manastorm stuff, i have said the same thing to my guildies since the season start, manastorm is really shitty content imo, but its too good content so if you dont do it, you are putting yourself at disadvantage. So i think they should tone down manastorm rewards, maybe make it more cosmetic oriented and keep leveling option? i really dont know but in my opinion at its current state, manastorm is making the game worse.
I elaborate on this point and I likely didn't explain it well enough - but my ideal solution would be to make Manastorm it's own form of PvE progression content. Allow dungeons to stand on it's own two feet with Mythics. Raids have trials and ascended. Manastorm should have it's own path of progression - the example I used was comparing it to GW2's fractal system where in-order to do harder dungeons, you have to have gear that has a certain type of resistance in-order to not die.

I tried to get into there alpha / beta by contacting some of the devs of the server like a month or two ago, but they just aired me pretty hard and were handing out invites to randoms in their Discord. Not that I'm saying I deserve the preferential treatment, but.. I tried lol. So ultimately, no, I haven't been keeping up with it. I'm currently messing around on Hardcore WoW. I don't think I can ever go back to D&D lol.

How do you get the armor your wearing?
Pretty sure most of it is vendor armor, and the cape / head piece (scarf) are seasonal unlocks.
