I was at that Demo Day and purchased a 2025 V85 TT Travel. The 2025 feels like a totally different bike than the same model from 2023. The fuel mapping is better, the display is better, the transmission is slick, it also has more torque down low and you can feel it. I strongly suggest trying a 2025 V85 TT versus earlier models. Thank you to Razee for giving me the heads up on the Demo Day that saved me $500 and gave me a free helmet.
@@johnbiagioni Thank you John for your information about the 2025 V85 TT. I’m glad to hear that Moto Guzzi improved upon an already well-made machine. I think you’ll be very happy with the bike and will have some enjoyable times on your riding adventures. Thanks for your comment and for watching my videos.
Thanks for this vid. It makes me miss the 2007 Moto Guzzi Breva 1100 I had. What a beautiful and unique bike it was. And now these new models are keeping with that character! Very nice!
@@erictrinklein4408 yes I agreethat Moto Guzzi office, a great lineup of new motorcycles that has brought the iconic twin engine into the modern error with many upgrades and technical advances
Radar on motorbikes! I had never heard of that. How technology moves on. It's sometimes hard to keep pace with it. Perhaps you can tell from that comment, I am an older chap, not a motorcyclist, who still rides and enjoys his Raleigh push-bike (a.k.a. as pedal cycle). Still, the technology is very interesting. I guess, too, that the radar will be at its life-saving best in conditions of poor or zero visibility.
@@roygardiner2229 yes I agree it can be a benefit for situations of poor visibility or unruly motorist that don’t pay attention. I believe it also has side, sensing instruments that detect all the vehicles overtaking the motorcycle. Bicycle riding is one of the best things you can do for your health and for your mental alertness. I try to ride my bicycle every day. Thank you for watching the video and for your comment.
@@dinuarmand When asking about comfort, many things have to be taken into consideration. As far as Bodily comfort goes, they are both able to provide that. I am 6’ fully geared up at 180 lbs. Both bikes feel like a good fit with handlebar, positioning and seat height. A shorter rider will have a challenge to be flat footed. When you consider pricing affordability, the V85 is more comfortable in that area, especially with the seasonal sales that are taking place right now. The V85 TT will provide a very comfortable entry price for the same amount of ability to perform in most conditions. I did notice that acceleration, top speed and smooth engine operation of the Stelvio was noticeably greater than the V8TT. However, those factors come down to a personal preference. I am considering a new adventure bike like the newly released BMW 450 or 750 size mostly to have a lighter and more agile experience. Moto Guzzi makes a nice product and I’m glad I bought the V85TT to be able to experience a quality bike for a reasonable price that has its own personality, different from the German and Japanese machines. Thank you for your question and for watching @lifetimeadventures9107
@ I’ll definitely look into that motorcycle as a prospect for my next adventure ride. One challenge with an Aprilia is finding a good dealer for service and sales. I’ll do some searching and see what I can find. Thanks for the suggestion.
@@steveross2280 If the cost is not a concern the Stelvio may be the better choice if your goal is to own a Moto Guzzi. I noticed that the performance of the new 1000 cc water cooled engine is smoother and more responsive than the older 850 air cooled motor. There are reports that Moto Guzzi has improved the performance of the 2025 850 cc engines by correcting the fueling settings to eliminate the hesitation while accelerating. You will find out in your test ride which is the best for your riding pleasure. After your test ride, leave a comment as to what you think about each model. Thanks for watching the video.
Don't be mistaken, radar on Stelvio has only visual and audio cues, no riding assistance whatsoever. It will not accelerate or decelerate on its own. Also its V100 and not V1000 🙂 Yes its around 1000cc, but the name is V100.
Thank you for bringing attention to the radar features of the Stelvio. In the video I wasn’t clear about how the radar will assist with the control of the bike. In order for the radar assistance system to control the motorcycle’s speed and distance from other traffic the cruise control must be engaged, once engaged, the radar system coupled with the cruise control will regulate the distance and speed of the bike when other vehicles are too close either behind or in front of the bike, plus will show a warning symbol on the instrument screen to alert the driver. The alert symbol will also display when the cruise control is disengaged and then it would be the riders choice as to how to respond by taking action to avoid a collision. You were correct in mentioning the motorcycle’s radar capability so that I can clarify the issue for the viewers. Thanks for watching and for your comment.
@@lifetimeadventures9107 Yes well the adaptive cruise control also does not operate brake, onty throttle. And thats only in theory, since the adaptive function is not on the market yet. (I know beucase I own PFF Stelvio and adaptive cruise control will come in form of software update, but not yet available).
@@Martin3559 Thank you for updating the information. Your comments will be helpful when people try to decide if they want to purchase the Stelvio or the V85 or other makes and model bikes. I personally have decided to keep my V85 Travel rather than upgrade to the Stelvio. I am not a fan of all the new technology that manufacturers are putting on vehicles, especially when they claim functionality and as you said, have not implemented it. it just seems like the manufacturers are baiting people into purchasing new vehicles with all these gadgets, but what’s really happening is there is just a dumbing down of the drivers and riders by creating a reliance on the so-called safety features instead of staying alert and aware of their surroundings while riding. Just my opinion, but that’s what makes life interesting. Everyone has their own preferences and are able to make the choices which are best for them
I though the radar and blind spot detection was a gimmick but I’m glad I have it. I wear earplugs so it’s an extra added aid. More importantly with these TFT screens to distract you, a warning on screen is great feature
For the job of ''many miles, comfortably'' I chose the v85. The new stelvio is nice, but i'd rather it in a Norge or Griso. I don't need that engine in a utilitarian mile muncher ADV.
@@brentharrington9235 Brent I tend to agree with you. I think myV 85. Moto Guzzi delivers a very comfortable ride with ample performance. The Stelvio has some great attributes and is a comfortable ride also based on the limited time that I had on the demo motorcycle. I thought it was a very well-made motorcycle. It will be difficult for a potential buyer to make a choice as to which one they would prefer because they are very close with the exception of the water cooled motor with more horsepower. If pricing is a consideration, the V85TT is definitely a better deal. Thank you for your comment and for watching @lifetimeadventures9107
