I have become a member plus monday i get the game and i can not wait to play..... even i have never play a game like this. Greetings from the Netherlands
i made the mistake of picking rogue thinking the game had things like cunning and cunning would be important for my maincharacter for dailouge and that cunning would be a rogue stat, i dislike how much its changed from the old dragon age games but its worth playing.
Honestly, you definitely make the best beginner guides hands down! Really appreciate what you do and I can tell how much time you put into these guides, very impressive and helpful.
What a phenomenal job you did on this video. The quality of the video, audio, and your speech rate (not super fast like several others seem prone to doing) -- all FABULOUS! And the clarity of your explanations with highlighting arrows to draw your eye to the relevant icon on the screen -- just SUPERB! Awesome job!
started as a mage, just made it to my first camp but man I love the dagger and frozen orb and being able to then shatter bomb after 3 hits of the orb. pretty powerful early on, im excited to see that dagger you have with bomb detonation
I'm also a Mage. I'm used to playing Mages from a distance, but it feels like the orb and dagger need to be played a bit closer, if anything to be able to use the dagger to explode them? How long does the bomb mark last to give me time to get close enough to hit them with the dagger?
Yet again, another brilliant beginners guide dude. Your guides are second to none for me. Clear, concise, and easy to understand 😊 You’re an absolute Legend! Am excited to play this one tonight 😊 Hello from 🏴 Wales and keep doing what you’re doing! 😊
This game has been very difficult to find a guide on due to how polarizing it's been but I've actually enjoyed the game so far. Thanks for giving more information and just focusing on gameplay!
It´s easy even if I don´t agree with all of them. 1. Woke content - it doesn´t matter how good a game is, so called woke content will always gain hate. This whole woke-debate doesn´t matter to me in the slightest but that´s a reality we live in today like having more and more coloured people in TV-Shows and movies in the 60s and 70s. 2. The writing - many people think Dragon Age has too be dark and gritty, The Veilguard isn´t that most of the time, it´s very lighthearted and I have to agree that many dialogues aren´t interesting or really good. 3. RPG - The Veilguard lacks RPG-elements like building your own character with consequential decisions, good and bad dialogue choices... You could say, that The Veilguard hasn´t much of a real RPG in it and I agree to a certain level. 4. The combat - on paper the combat system with all the skills and possible synergies looks quiet interesting, for the most part and many difficulties these systems don´t have that much impact and the combat can be repetetive after a short while. It shines when you play it on the hardest difficulty though. 5. The art direction of the NPCs - for many they seem too comical, childish, Pixar-like. I would have prefered a more realistic approach as well, AND better movement animations. 6. All of the mentioned points could be fine, when The Veilguard would have been a new IP. Many people compare The Veilguard with Dragon Age Origins and there are many many differences between these games so I think it´s fair for many people not liking the path Bioware chose to take. For me, the Veilguard is a feel good action adventure with a D&D movie vibe. It takes itself not to serious, has for what it wants to be the right amount of complexity but lacks interesting dialogues, choices and consequences. It has fantastic visuals, good looking combat animations and a good pace. I compare it with Assassin´s Creed Odyssey in the way that it might would have been better, to make it a new IP instead of including it to a series with certain expectations like traditional features and such.
Hate is a pretty strong word Crash, this reminds me of Dave Chapelle turning down fifty million dollar contract for a skit he was being forced to do under his free will ☝️kids and adults play video games, although kids minds are a little easier to influence them an adults… Jordan Peterson talks about kids mutilating there bodies at a young age then when they grow up and realise it was a wrong life choice it’s a little too late. I understand the hate 🙏
Thank you, I really needed this. I played Inquisition but YEARS ago and I was so confused with the skills etc. it's not hard to understand but it was a lot in the beginning
Great video. Very informative and helpful. This is my first Dragonage game, thinking about getting earlier games, really enjoying this one. Playing mage this playthrough, once I'm familiar with game and complete it, thinking about doing rogue, I like dual wield classes. Just wanted to give you kudos on video and say thanx!
Thanks for the quality guide Lucky! Started watching your videos on ESO a while back and I'm stoked to see you here covering a Dragon Age release! Keep it up brother
*I've been watching for a while, I'd watch you and NefasQS, etc. I was really into ESO years ago. Congratulations on your progression, pheonomal video's! I see you becoming as big as Gamerranx! I can already see everyone watching your video's right after they watched Gamerranx - before you buy😂*
For higher level Enemies (Champions / Dragons) take at least one companion with a healing ability with you. Using it whenever you are at low health to get back to full health will make it less stressful even though it will make the fight longer. For example I died twice to the Formless One Dragon in the Necropolis until I added the healing to Emmerich and then it was pretty easy and I never went below my max number of potions.
Do you ever play your games live? Would love to watch you do playthroughs of some of the games you make guides on. Thanks for putting out consistently good guides ♥️
Thanks! This was helpful as I'm just starting out. So, the green butterflies... what do they signify? I feel like I'm missing something when they show up as I run around.
Absolutely amazing guide. You earned a subscriber. I was wondering how stingy I have to be with selling items for reputation. Will I be able to comfortably max out all the faction merchants if I am thorough with exploration and side quests? Or do I have to be more picky about which factions to focus on?
You'll be able to max then all no problem. You will continually get quests that eventually max them all out. Selling items just gets you there sooner so you can get the items you want sooner
@@LuckyGhostI super appreciate the response! This has been my biggest concern and I have been hoarding all my valuables because of this. I will now finally start selling some of my stuff off. 😅
Not major but Harding's heal has a slight delay maybe a seond 1.5 at most, as she throws a flask at you but it will hit you no matter where you are it's just the heal wont start until she throws the flask
But I heard that ALOT of Quests get locked out and you lose them forever due to hard choices and going for companions pushes those hard choices. Also if you want to romance those can get screwed too.
How are critical strikes triggered? There's no crit % stat like in other games here, at least I didn't find it anywhere. There's a buff that lets you make your next final or charged attack be a crit...is that the only way to crit? And is it just those abilities that can crit? Or is there some other way and other abilities that can crit?
Very helpful guide! One question, if I have a legendary item and I find a duplicate again, what happens? Or is it even possible to find duplicates of maxed out items?
Did you switch up your keybinds at all from default? I seem to be having some awkward hand movements and can't quite pin down what will make it more comfortable. The basic layout seems a bit more clunky than ESO's.
28:05 wait, why do companions have cooldowns and not their individual skills? That nullifies utility skills in the face of the damage potential of the prime/detonate mechanic. ME 2 & 3 already showed us how amazing the combat flow is when each skill has a cooldown. Is this a bug?
you have to put points into specific skills for the companion to lower the specific skill cooldown for that companion, some seem to start off with all the same cooldown for each of their skills, but you can change it by leveling them up and investing the points into lower cooldown percentage. some do have different cooldowns depending on the skill before investing, but it seems like most are the same until you upgrade that specific skill for the companion
I'm only a few hours into the game, so dunno if this changes later on, but those merchants on the map only show if they're faction merchants afaik. There are other merchants that you can only find by exploring the world, and they never get shown on the map. Kinda annoying tbh, in case there's something on them that you want but can't afford in the moment; you'll need to make a mental note on the merchant's location so you can come back later.
Thank you for the guides even with all the haters. Honestly, I didn't know what to think, especially with MrMattyPlays going from super positive about the game after he previewed it, to completely hating it when it went Live. However, even Asmongold played it and said it's much better than he expected, thinking it would be a 4-5, but after a few hours, gave it a 6-7 and said he plans to continue playing it. So it just goes to show that the people hating on it, haven't even played it, so their opinions on the game really aren't worth considering.
Was excited for this game because I love being a Necromancer but then I found out their Necro has no summons at all. Like wtf. Might as well make a mage with no magic.
It would be excellent if it were realistic next gen viuals but bad cartoony character design and mostly silly looking armours ruining so much overall immersion
Thanks for watching! Sub for more QUALITY gaming content!

I don't think I rebound anything, it wasn't too dissimilar from other rpgs I've played
Can you explain what "barrier" damage is?
Some enemies have a blue barrier over their health bar that you have to damage before damaging their health
Goddamnit I just notice that some items in shops give you a stat boost!!! Also at what point do you unlock enchantments for abilities?
I think It was workshop rank 4
@ just checked and I can do it….my shop is lvl 7 🤣
i noticed you didn’t talk about companion combos when you toggle into everyone’s abilities.
