I would like to see a video concerning the issues with the door handles . Its very hard to get the handle to open the door . It must be in the rods and etc inside the door .

With the facelift XJS, I find it easier to put the door mechanism together with the rods outside of the door then slip it in. The pre-facelift door handles are just a pain and require a great deal of finesse and patience.

Bob, glad to see a new video from you . I really want to own a V-12 car. But I must confess, I have fallen. I stumbled across a German car starting with a "P" a while back. It was just a fling, a weak moment. Asking for forgiveness! Hoping to score a car down Texas way soon. So your videos help me press forward! No pressure....Thanks again!

The classic sports car culture is a big tent. All marques are welcome.

Thanks for the tour! I have a '96 'vertable (I6). No serious issues yet, beyond a high idle, but I know that day is coming.

Bob , as usual excellent work.. my son's restomod project is also coming to the end and will be entering it in the biggest British car show in North America, here in Ontario, Canada, over 1000 cars entering and 9000 spectators..
Where are you finding parts for these precious pains.? I am looking for the felt edge trim when you open the door?? Or those steel spring push pins that hold up the door panels or pillar trims.. you know, when you slide in it the cutout and you push them into the hole. There steel with small serrated teeth.. instead of the cheap plastic ones you find on the back of door cards.. it's a 86xjs coupe.. good luck on the project..

I think you got an 89 there. 90 had an airbag wheel.

You're right. Two cars were involved in this project, an '89 and a '90. One of the things to be sorted as we assemble it. The VIN is a '90.

How does someone like Tony polish the rear tail lights?

G'day Bob, very interested in your restoration projects: i am currently working on a 1988 V12 convertible myself. My current issue is a soft pedal on my Teves brake system. Do you have a source for spare parts for the system? Would you be amenable to doing a video on refurbishment of the system? Many thanks Chris

I haven’t had much to do with the Teves system, but when it comes time to test drive the brakes, there may be enough content for a video.
