Lich spells do not eat through runes. Lastly it is wise to get wand of vortex or wristband of secrets to remove dots or magic based detrimental spells from mobs or yourself. Abashi's rod of disempowerment will not do that.
You are correct on lich not eating through runes -- those Luclin runes in particular are funky though so I wasn't sure if it ate through these particular runes but if not then great. The Shadowhaven Casino doesn't open up until GoD on TLP, but I did forget to mention it in the video. I added a note to the website that it comes back in GoD. Thanks for watching!
