    Honestly, the heirloom thing is pretty cool and I am an altoholic so making alts is not a problem for me. I would however suggest that flags and keys be account bound and that would solve a lot of unnecessary grinding and let you change your main on the fly.

    Still waiting on a level 70 locked server. As much as I love and still play on Agnarr, I'd really like the option to have a 70-lock and I know many of my guildmates have been waiting years for the same thing.
    There's been rumors for years that EQ Mobile is in development with a contracted firm. I've wondered if a lot of these changes and the new UI engine are all in an attempt to support that. But yeah, I appreciate what they're trying to do but this is one of the definitive things that makes EQ what it is to me. EQ2 is its own beast with encounter locking, and that's fine. But I want EQ for its brutality, rawness, and difficulty. Just speculation.

    If the server started at 300% bonus xp and scaled up from there then leveling alts might be more appealing. Otherwise they are nutts.

    Would love to see a new tlp lock at Oow (PoK raid & epic 2.0) with a little bit slower exp so you can enjoy low/mid/end game zone, NO BOX's lol

    Who is this for, I was thinking about coming back. This is not appealing to myself as a Everquest returner, it’s not appealing to new players, might appeal to a vocal minority.

    How does this stop pl? All they have do is yell the mobs then proceed to do their thing. It actually enhances some pl methods in some ways because you keep them locked to prevent them accidently aggroing the low level.

      How I speed PL this rule set will break. I use my high level enchanter loaded with wind of tash to AE aggro lock mass pulls. I go pull (for example) all of lower guk both live and dead side. Then I use a cleric to keep a rolling hot on and bard dmg shield songs plus mage/druid dmg shield to dmg down the mobs. Then you have the toons being PLd use a blue gem spell (PBAE unlimited mobs it can hit) to hit the entire wave with real player dmg, and the dmg shields on the enchanter burn it down. I've gotten 13 levels in a single pull for the PL group...it's awesome.
      This rule set breaks that because once I tag with the enchanter, it's all locked to that character it sounds like.

      @@tren380 all the higher level has to do is yell each mob, whicb opens them up to be dps'd by oog characters.
      After yell is issued, whoever does the most damage is rewarded the exp. And in your case it would the character you are pl'ing

      macro /xtar 1, /yell, /xtar 2, /yell....and so on. Just limit pulls to 20 mobs, make sure you run through the yells before the DS and lowbies kill mobs, and should be golden. Might be a bit slower with smaller pulls, but will still be very viable

      @@johnbeaugh6892 Alex said what I was thinking...but that would be so so exhausting and annoying. The yell thing like I get it...but I agree with EQProgression that this yell thing doesn't work in practice. If you over pull or are in trouble, you run or wipe. Yelling for help no one is ever near enough to you to actually help.
      And mind you I am doing this in zones where no one else is, so swarm pulling to get new toons or friends up through the crappy levels to get them caught up isn't hurting anyone else. They are deliberately nerfing PLing but just won't say so outright.

      @@tren380 You didn't read the ruleset. All you have to do is /yell and the mob is unlocked. You will still be able to AE PL in the exact fashion that you described.

    holding a npc on to you for the sole point of not allowing others to kill it. with no intent of killing it your self. would be griefing i'm sure would lead to banning. a few times as warning. but after that perma ban the user account and credit card name address ect. get them to find a new game .eq is old enough that no one should be greifing or farming for real currency. i have said this before. ALL TLP SERVERS should not allow krono trades until what ever expansion it was that krono was added to the game.

    This TLP is a hard pass for me. I anticipate a complete clown car sh*t show from FTE and none of the other benefits are worth it. I'm actually thankful, because Mischief is getting into the expansions that I've been dying to play. =)

    while the 51% rule has always be the dumbest thing in gaming they should just make all monsters summon to stop kiting locked mobs.

    The encounter lock system in EQ2 was so terrible they removed it in a week at launch and then added one that's still bad much later.

    What I have never understood. Why will they not allow instances of dungeons, within reason maybe timers. I love playing tlp but I can't tell you the amount of times I would goto say guk and there are maybe 3 picks and each one has no camps open. You can sub guk for any other popular zone per expansion. I get some of the argument it makes the server feel live, sorta. Most of the time it's some high levels locking down the whole thing to sell in ec tunnel.
    Make up a set of rules so you can't abuse it into the ground but why no tlp with more or less AOC for dungeons, with xp and mobs that respawn. You will without a doubt still have pops in the base picks all the "farmers" will move off into a instance for the most part.
    I dunno that's just kinda my 2cp. More often then not what stops me from playing on a tlp and unsubbing until the next tlp is when I can't go start a group to hunt down the loot I want to earn myself.
    Maybe it's a bad idea... I just don't see it at this point why do you think mischief was so good. Everything couldn't be locked down by the turdwranglers on the server. You had a random shot at anything within range.

    The ruleset will absolutely create many problems and exploits that never existed.
    Kill-stealing will be replaced with tag-stealing. Lowest ping will always win.
    Training will become even more problematic because the trainer can choose to not /yell unlock the healer mobs in the train while /yell unlocking all of the other mobs.
    AE PLing will be unaffected because of the /yell feature.
    Guilds will be able to run their entire raid force into the deepest recesses of a dungeon directly to the raid boss without clearing a single trash mob along the way.

    They really caught lightning in a bottle with Mischief, and while I might still play this....I really wish it was as fun as Mischief was starting off.

    i see several things i can get behind and honestly would love to see implimented on live almost as if they are useing this as a test for live implimentation ? ............ they uses to have veteran rewards every year but last year or the year befor they unlocked those for everyone so no more new little bonuses every year ...... and then i see some things ( mostly the encounter locking ) that makes me say Nope ill just stick to live play for another year, but that Heirloom idea and bonus XP for alts would be great on every server ......... i might even start to hoard Heirloom alt gear in my banks along with my mountians of TS mats

    A lot of people were actually excited for these changes. They finally made a server ruleset that was somewhat casual friendly, and the neck beards have swooped in to ruin it. Some of the rules need some tweaking, but all this QQing...

      It kinda does as fps racing isnt a thing like on past server, and the 10% exp boost is for ppl who makes alts..
      Krono farmers dont make more than 1 char an account

      Tag stealing is going to be more toxic than kill stealing ever has been.
      If you have more than 60ms ping you’re never going to win a tag race.

      @@chrisf3827 I disagree. As someone who can't sit for hours on end playing and is less focused on being maxed level within a week of launch. this feels very casual friendly to me. Level my alts, get some nice bonuses. Not have to worry about dps races as I don't usually play high dps class or am as geared as quickly as those who race through the content.
      Things get progressively less time consuming each expansion.seems like a win to me.
      Tag stealing happens in almost every MMO that exists, no problem with that. Though to be fair, I think they should tweak spawn rates and drop rates accordingly. Give more opportunities at the tag. At least in the first 2 expansions. You at least have a chance at the tags where as now, you are not going to beat bot armies.or stealth mages waiting to steal you spawn.
      Guess we just have a very different definition of what it means to be casual. I just wish they would slow down the release rate of the expansions. Aside from any of the rest of it. Maybe by a month. I'm always way behind by the time PoP hits because I can't play enough to remotely keep up. Know plenty of others for whom it's the same. We basically have to ignore raiding or any meaningful content in Base game and Kunark to maybe be ready to try and do end game in Velious.
      It sucks. How Many years of progression servers with almost no variation in gameplay? Aside from that shit show mischief. It's getting pretty dry.

    I don't mind the heritage / aoc change. I can see some fun from that. FTE is going to be a mess...but at least we get to test it first. I'm going to play...but i'm a lifetime sub so it doesn't cost me anything...

    Power leveling isn't nerfed. All you need is a cycle target out and yell hotkey. Spam it on pull and everything works the same.

      @@pey7777 No because you are not spamming for the sake of spamming. If you pull 30 mobs, you have to push the button 30 times for it to work. That's bad game design and not your fault.

      @@Fayrwel Maybe that's their intention though? For a PLer to break first to engage, they'd be forced to break another rule by spamming /yell. It's like a loophole to give people a way to report PLers

    Can't wait to level 10 characters to get 100% exp bonus that won't actually transfer to the next expansion. Flagging 10 chars to raid with... no personal loot so I need to gear up 10 chars... just who is this server for???

      And to see if it helps the overall ticket volume in the beginning.
      Look at eq2 they already have this feature build into the whole game since the beginning.
      And daybreak is gonna try getting as close to that thing as they can in eq1

    Darkpaw has no intention of stopping the AE PLers -- they make tons of money from them.
    With the /yell feature, the FTE ruleset will have zero effect on AE PLers.

    I think they intentionally left out the "goal" of eradicating PL due to them figuring out that this will be worked around.. My guess is there will be a /yell All or a functional command similar to release a user's list completely, where someone else can "assist" a.k.a. AE PL continues.
    I actually like the idea of Oakwynd, but for them to lean on "we implemented FTE due to training" seems like they don't want to admit they had their main goal thwarted by QA testers. At this point I think 99% of people are in favor of rejecting FTE before it puts the game in a worse state than it already is lol.

      Yes, there is a /yell command in the ruleset that unlocks the encounter so that anyone can attack it or be aggroed by it.
