5:18 I believe Rip will be better for bosses overall, like the powered dot stays while you go back to bear and deal damage, bite can be underwhelming if it doesn't crit, like a loss of many globals for a mediocre hit is not worth it, but the rip is consistent damage
For me the huge problem is that it is not optimised for M+ at all and there is a lot of nonsense. The idea of shapeshifting is awesome and this is what I want on my druid, but in M+ what is the point to shapeshift in feral form, loose 20% health and armor and not beeing able to hit AoE ? Like blizzard, at least put one AoE finisher in the base talent tree ? Puting fluid form after Lore of the Grove is sooo pointless to me, I don't understand why you need to spend point for healing spells you don't use or even moonfire because you are supposed to shapeshift so supposed to play with druid of the claw... Also, what is the point to keep 80% of the armor when you just spam raze for absorb shield with this build... I feel like this is only good for raid or pure single target and that is sad. But maybe I missed some point and I hope (so hard) I am wrong !
I enjoy your videos and think you do a good job so I subbed, but I need you to stop eating lunch before you record because you always ending up having these belch oubreaks during the video. lol
Haha, it's a breath thing actually... Didn't eat anything before making this video... I'm working on it for sure... Gotta figure out how to bring more air into my lungs or something. We'll see
I usually like your takes but I'd like to politely disagree with, if nothing else, the tone of the video. This hero talent spec is hot garbage and shouldn't be released as is.
@@ZucoWoW Absolutely sir. I was initially much more excited about Druid of the Claw as the Guardian Druid hero spec, as it seemed to promise large changes to how you would play your Druid tank, but the interaction between Maul and Ravage leans more towards blizzard forgetting that we already had Raze, and majorly devalues that ability. Ravage also has a very poor proc chance, and you can go long periods of time without being able to use the ability outside of using a major cooldown to get access to it, making the entire tree unreliable due to the randomness there. The bleed from Ravage isn't bad, but it just adds up to more damage without any real interactivity with us as the player considering that even playing to try and extend the dot consists only of playing our character as we always would anyway. The talent tree itself has several nodes that on first glance you know should never be picked. For example, and you mentioned points of doubt about this, outside of damage tuning, swapping into cat form to take advantage of a ferocious bite or rip via Wildshape Master/Wildpower Surge is something that will just get people killed, making it a "trap talent." As another, Tear Down the Mighty is ridiculous as is, considering 5 seconds off the cooldown of a 45 second ability will never be considered unless there is a mechanic that you absolutely have to have due to some big hit coming from a boss every 40 to 45 seconds that you'll die if you don't have it. Considering Claw and Rampage giving you it's bonuses to triggering a Ravage proc during Berserk or Incarnation, Ruthless Aggression also holds next to no value for a Guardian Druid, other than slightly skewing your chance to be able to line up Tooth and Claw procs with a Ravage. When compared to Blood DKs, Warriors, and Paladins (although I'm not sure about vengeance dh), the druid has next to nothing in either of their trees that really influences their gameplay to the same degree. Sure, it affects what talents they will pick in their class spec tree, but it won't affect more than that. Even Elune's Chosen has large problems considering the rotational impact of needing to hit moonfire and thrash as often as you can to influence Lunar Beam, but at least that tree improves an ability and makes it a major cooldown compared Druid of the claw which simply gives you a separate copy of an ability you already have (raze) as a proc that you sometimes have influence over (ravage). I hope that I've communicated well here. Thanks for taking your time to read my thoughts.
If they add Primal Wrath to Druid of the Claw Guardian, it would be more interesting to play in M+ situations.
Love your content, very underrated channel. Keep it up.
10:52 Empowered Shapeshifting, choice node on the 4th row with Wildpower Surge gives 4% magic DR!
I have been waiting so long for this!

I miss when ravage was called massive attack. F for massive attack
Archevoke checking in /wave. Oh wait, that must have been a different dungeon run 😂

"it does good damage" as youre barely out dpsing the healer on overall

What do you think is so bad about it? Give me a good, honest answer! Not looking for a fight. I want to see your perspective and why :)
