Hello Mr., I was wondering: Can I also use a lamp instead of leaving it in direct sunlight? My balkony only catches a little bit of actual sunlight and that only for a few hours.
Here Germany. Thanks for showing us this trick. Someone told me about this a few years ago, but said that the plastic yellows far faster after this treatment.
@@philgray1023Any clear coat would do it. That's literally what's being stripped off. It's the protective coat that has yellowed, not the actual plastic!
@@Irish_Thørn_Tree882 Ok, the plastics are made with uv stabilsers mixed in, those get used up and thus the plastic yellows. You only get it on the surface as that is the area exposed, there is no magic coating on most plastics aside from things like automotive headlights which you should never treat until they have gone badly yellowed as you're just speeding the process up by removing that coating. You can then add your own coating of a uv stablised clear coat paint. Not just any paint, it must have uv stablised specified on it.
The volume indicates the concentration of peroxide in the solution. 3% = 10 volume 6% = 20 volume 12% = 40 volume 30% = 100 volume 35% = 130 volume So this is 30%, because VOLUME is rear used, more used is %

Love and thanks from Turkey❤️What do you recommend for yellowed plastics that cannot be removed, such as yellowed handles of washing machines or dishwashers?
You can get hydrogen peroxide in a cream base which you can apply with a brush to your handles on the washing machine. You will then need to setup a UV LED light and rotate it around the handle and re-brush the peroxide cream around the handle every hour for approximately 4 to 8 hours (depending on the strength of the UV light). Be sure you wear proper UV rated sun glasses when entering the room and a long sleeved shirt otherwise you can severely damage your eyes (UV light ages all structures of the eye including higher risks of corneal damage, cataracts and macular degeneration) and skin (sunburn).
