    a million years ago in Australia ,INXS, after a huge tour of North America et al, came home and did a series of pub/club gigs and I got to go with my friend who knew the keyboard player. towards the end of the night MH just began asking us in the audience what songs we would like to hear ,and there , in this tiny club was about 900 people shouting out our faves and the band playing them. unforgettable fun.

      indeed. I'm still pissed off at Bob Geldof, ever since I heard the story about what an ass he was to Michael and how that could have contributed to his suicide. And Bob still, last I heard, is unapologetic about it.

    • @shadelings
      @shadelings 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@EphemeralProductions Well, considering the heroin trainwreck that was Paula Yates, I find it hard to fault Geldof for not wanting his own daughters to travel to Australia with her for Christmas and apparently it was she who made the decision to not go with just herself and Tiger Lily, which in the end was probably best for the baby, but really that's all Michael wanted which was to see his daughter. Plus, from all accounts, Geldof has done an amazing job raising Tiger Lily in a loving home. Yates, on the other hand, was just the absolute worst thing that could have possibly happened to Michael and his own mother has said that Yates told him that if he didn't marry her, she'd kill herself and take Tiger with her. It's safe to say it was Yates who was Michael's downfall. And I'm more pissed off at Noel Gallagher for calling Michael a has-been a year before he died during an awards ceremony. Clearly Oasis can't even come close to the legacy of INXS and Michael Hutchence now that both bands are so-called 'has-beens'.
