    This is great and long overdue. No reviews of this beast, up until now. For me one of the best looking modern Bowies. Thanks!

    I really like that choil. You can get your finger in there, plus it's great for sharpening. Great spot to strike a fire steel too. Looks like there's room to lever stuff as well.

    I bought one of these. The edge was rough I sent it to the Apostle P knife service and for $30 he put a nice polished edge on it.

    Fabulous piece of Cutlery by Spyderco and the fact that they can't be found speaks volumes about their Respect for the knife he always wanted to design 🤔

    I love a nice Bowie. A little steep on the price, but it is pretty nice.

    I like the knife, except for the way the blade transitions from the ricasso. I think they should have rounded it out a bit. Thanks for another great video LTK

    SRM just annouced the Land 910ti,a new version of Land 9103.With M390 blade,TC4 titanium handle,ceramic detent ball and ceramic ball bearing system.Waiting for the day when it is available.It will cost more than 110 bucks.

    And what's the point of drilling a hole in the blade, making a weak point in the steel. Also does the tang only go as far as the last nut. I'd doubt it will hold up to any hard work.

    Still perfer a slightly sharpe false edge on a clip-point design like buck 110,which makes the false edge more useful.Well,mainly becasu it is cool.

    Good review, as always, but it's too expensive for what you're getting. For me, I'll stick with my Condor Knife and Tool Undertaker Bowie. You can't destroy the beast and it's under $100. You should review one, LTK.

    Well this knife is too good to be abused so I think it would be good as ceremonial knife or maybe a real cowboy in Texas would use it.

  • @yeaman992
    @yeaman992 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Wish it was in 4v or something, little to expensive for 154.

      @knifevideochannel4657 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      4V is being used on the new to be released Spyderco Ankerson Bowie (Province ). CPM-154 is no slouch and very good /tough choice for a knife of this style.

    Really nice design but a high-carbon steel like CPM-3V or 80CrV2 would have been a better choice. Generally speaking, tool steel is always best for fixed blades, and stainless for folders.

    • @MattP-BandB
      @MattP-BandB 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      CPM154 is a super tough stainless steel. Great for wet and snowy environments.

  • @daveeverett9341
    @daveeverett9341 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Spyderco has long since leaned on it's nameplate. This type of knife is looking for collectors - the only use for an expensive showpiece. Other manufacturers have learned that most heavier blades shouldn't be fabricated from stainless which is prone to chipping under chopping, with edges falling under thick heavy spines...

    • @MattP-BandB
      @MattP-BandB 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have beat the snot out of mine. No problems with the steel. CPM154 is super tough and up to any task.

    You wouldn't know he always wanted to do a Bowie because they are not available any where for the last year and current moment 🙂

    Weird looking Bowie with the long neck on the chole. The ripples on the handle look like a mistake repeated. No I don't like it. Nice review LTK
