Out of the hundereds of different builds a person can come up with, and the weapon/omyo/jitsu/spirit animal/ soul core combo possibilities, only a hand full are game breaking level OP. Of course people like PWAR are going to find them. Most action RPGs ive ever played only have 3-5 different viable builds possibilities and at least 1 or 2 can be made to essentially make your character effectively invincible.
@@gcurley554554 find a build that suits you first. I like using fast melee style weapons so I could move out the way, therefore if you like to take damage & stay up close to max out your dps, find a good tank build

For the owl in your guardian spirit, you can just put it on your secondary guardian spirit, swap before a fight and then swap back to your primary guardian spirit as you’ll never use owl in a fight it. Works rather well
ooo nice tip! forgot secondaries existed outside the extra stat lolz. enables you to put maybe gyuki for 15-20% extra saturated dmg (with -1 attunements)
@@Kindaichiconan you swap to your second spirit that has the bird. Drop your pools then swap back to first spirit for your fighting. Absorb pools and then you have better saturation. Birds YAD on corrupted is a waste waste basically. You only want the yokai pools.
I've been running basically this same setup for over a week now. It does indeed feel quite strong. I've found putting the owl core on my secondary spirit to be better. It opens the slot on your primary and it's really quick to just switch spirits, make the pools, then switch back.
500hrs into the game and still using my own builds and still discovering new things - I avoid using guides until absolutely necessary to avoid ruining the mystery too soon ...but... I will say this.... These builds like Madara are amazing to see - I will definitely be keeping some of this build in my mind as I continue working on my character
You totally could have made this a Hashirama Senju build with purification and done a similar build with corruption as Madara Uchiha. Just a thought. You did a badass build either way. I am enjoying your videos.
8:39 BTW There's a difference between Anima Bonus ([Statused] Enemy) and Anima Bonus (Enemy [Statused]): Anima Bonus (Statused Enemy) is the good one and gives you an anima bonus per hit on a statused enemy. Anima Bonus (Enemy Statused) is the bad one and only gives you a one time bonus upon inflicting the status. This is the one theWhite Tiger soul core has, so I wouldnt say it's mandatory. I can probably be replaced.
I'd say at the top end it gets as complex as Diablo or Path Of Exile, if not more at times. You have literally hundreds of numbers and interactions all going off together. Just go look at your stats list with all the numerical values. It looks like a formula for quantum physics.
And in diablo u are oressing like 2 buttons for all your attacks. In this u have full combos, combo enders block attacks, all interchangeable and can be infused with specific passives like elemental or increased damage. Then I combine all that with yokai abilities, ninjitsu, into magic, yokai shift, and even ranged attacks via forearms, bows. Nioh 2 has blown my mind out the back of my head.
Not the biggest fan of versatility myself, but at this point why not give it a crack. Can't wait for the futa build... I'm sure the thumbnail will be appropriate.

Getting back into nioh because it is so much better than dark souls. stopped using dual blades because the damage felt meh next to switchglaive, but i am definitely grinding the gear for this NOW
They need to make skill based Naruto game like this fr! A world and clan system a war or invasion feature deep created character creations and lots of high quality mission types and content.
I was thinking of using the same grace setup combo of Izanagi and Susanoo with my Onmyo Switchglaive build I currently have. Any tips to further this idea? Keep up the great builds! ^^
not much i can offer because i don't dabble in switchglaive but the armor setup and everything else is pretty much universal so don't so why not. SG should be a good wpn at building susa stacks too.

@@ashleykemp3123 SG has its own anima buff skill right? i forgot if it clashes with archyoki but if so that could save you some onmyo slots, maybe for rejuvenation or more barrier. try to get mystic dyad on it as well

I basically use izanagi and the owasumi set the one that gives you 30 percent more health and makes you always take half damage on hit it’s stupid safe so far I don’t even have the full izanagi when I can actually deal some damage
I watched this before I played nioh2, then I played when the pc version came out. 55hrs later, Finally defeated Otakemaru, came back to this video feeling just as lost XD. be back after 150hrs XD
I'm with you on Versatility man. I've been saying it wasn't worth the effort since the Benz meta but nooobody listens to me anymore. The math has changed, temp buffs aren't generally better than armor buffs, because they're temporary, and because stacking mechanics suck vs "Melee vs." BaseAttack × GearDamage% × TempBuffs% × Debuffs% Everything in the same class is additive with its own class. Purity build is Imperial Ward+ 7pc and Izanagi 6pc. Owl is bad, even on secondary, you could be using that fruit or Box for Gozuki. Barrier is also bad, the attack buff from High Stance perfect purify is 50%, and you miss the Anima. With Yokai Ability Ki Pulse Gozuki/Ippon you miss DOUBLE ANIMA. Runner up is Izanagi 7pc Onmyo Austerity 5pc, it has slightly higher damage and defense (devigorate), but you need owl on secondary or 9,000 Yokai pots. The upside of Austerity is infinite familiars and free devigorate, both nice fo co-op and Underworld alike (for Lapis farm anyway)
yah the only reason i use barrier is because i'm too lazy to manage ki. does yokai ki pulse also act as normal ki pulse for your stamina? never tried it, altho i know there's bonuses for manual ki pulsing from shiftling tree. but yah with new patch and +120 wpns, versa is dead deado.

If you time it correctly, it will act like a Perfect Ki Pulse, and if you're in a Yokai Realm, it will act like a Perfect Purification: - Recovers red Ki - Triggers Ki Pulse: Heaven/Man/Earth and Purify Yokai Realm: Heaven/Man/Earth (the Samurai tree skills) based on your stance - Triggers Devour Yokai Realm and Absorb Yokai Realm in Shiftling Tree
@@PWARGaming Personally I'm leaning away from temp buffs (especially stacking buffs), toward consistent "Melee vs" purity or corruption, which mostly don't have immune enemies. And then, purity > corruption because you need Sentience Charge out the wazoo to even get close to Purity Talisman. And Yokai resist corruption more than humans do purity. Except Staff generally(Twin Phoenix, Shin Crusher, Changing Ways) and a few select moves on other weapons, inflicting corruption is only reliable during Awaken. Purity on the other hand is piss easy. Imperial Ward+ 6pc should be more or less as good as Sarutahiko or Genryu for anima gen on not-Staff. So at that point, you're gonna pick between IW+ or Izanagi 7pc. Lazy and fast option is IW+7 over Iz7. 10~15% less damage depending on other factors but almost constant uptime and no spirit swapping.
the only game where you have to beat all of the content first before you completed your build and on top of that you have to deal with THE RNG and pray that you have a correct star roll on the correct graces. sometimes i don’t understand the logic behind it
it makes no sense at all. more so, the depths aren't even different from normal underworld. literal copy paste. they know the audience and builds power, yet excluded ultra hard content the first game had (double bosses). beat the content, finally make your build, and there's no content left to challenge it. disappointing.
@@PWARGaming Team Ninja should have given us the ability to craft graces and star roll that we want like special umbracite or something even if its hard to get just to give us some degree of control rather than RNG on top of RNG
for ninjutsu you'd do marici 6 + omoikane 7. or kato + omoikane. feather dmg only, yokai spam them with ninjutsu hit anime bonus on cores/neko spirit. but purpose of my recent vids is to use new gears/attacks for my dlc3 builds. kusa was gonna be a build but deciding not too. new skills for it aren't crazy enough, so it'd just be a reaper build.
@@mohammadalateeq8615 kato buffs your wpn dmg better but marici has D-down so if solely gonna use ninjutsu marici. if you still want wpn to matter, kato. kato is also easier to build.
I’m quite new to nioh so I’d like to know how you change the weapon scaling on a weapon? My fists don’t have constitution scaling so do I have to farm for fists until a pair with constitution drops or is there a way to change it?
Transform x stat is the effect you're looking for, which is a star only stat, altho it can be inheritable lots of the time too. but pretty much found-only as you can't forge ethereals and it's a ethereal only stat
Nice build dude, I had a similar build in mind but is not finished yet, I'm tired of versatility, instead of Susano I running ninigi 6pc; on tip I put the owl on my second gs and switch between before bosses or when I have space for that, but it's just my personal preference, and as you said anima building is slow with that, I'm trying to get anima bonus purity on my soul cores, so I don't have to choose Tiger.. I stucking on floor 52 Fucking nyotengu 😅
You mentioned in your video that using grace of susano isn’t good for endgame, but what would you recommend to equip to replace susano. I’m not a huge fan of susano either but can’t figure the most optimal gear to replace it.
as my grandpa William always said: "if you ain't one shottin with 1 skill, you doin it wrong". but yah versa is great. it just got played out to hell all of last dlc 2, so i would prefer using new stuff

With that new Ki pulse skill, going from double headed slice to windstorm is super smooth.

A guy came into my game using his guardian spirits only and one hit every enemy. Couple hits for a boss. Way/Dream of Nioh
Lmao I summoned a visitor in dlc 2 for 8 lightning god's, man legit did 24k damage for every punch he did. He was barehanded btw

Futsunushi is a terrible set. Why settle for a 50% damage boost to specific skills, when you can have 50%~70% damage boost to all attacks?

I am doing a ninja Shuriken/Ninja build with Fist/Claws and it works just fine.

I've been saying it wasn't worth the effort since the Benz meta but nooobody listens to me anymore.
The math has changed, temp buffs aren't generally better than armor buffs, because they're temporary, and because stacking mechanics suck vs "Melee vs."
BaseAttack × GearDamage% × TempBuffs% × Debuffs%
Everything in the same class is additive with its own class.
Purity build is Imperial Ward+ 7pc and Izanagi 6pc.
Owl is bad, even on secondary, you could be using that fruit or Box for Gozuki. Barrier is also bad, the attack buff from High Stance perfect purify is 50%, and you miss the Anima. With Yokai Ability Ki Pulse Gozuki/Ippon you miss DOUBLE ANIMA.
Runner up is Izanagi 7pc Onmyo Austerity 5pc, it has slightly higher damage and defense (devigorate), but you need owl on secondary or 9,000 Yokai pots.
The upside of Austerity is infinite familiars and free devigorate, both nice fo co-op and Underworld alike (for Lapis farm anyway)
yah the only reason i use barrier is because i'm too lazy to manage ki. does yokai ki pulse also act as normal ki pulse for your stamina? never tried it, altho i know there's bonuses for manual ki pulsing from shiftling tree.
but yah with new patch and +120 wpns, versa is dead deado.
@@PWARGaming Yokai Ability Ki Pulse on one core will allow any of your cores to act exactly like a Ki Pulse for recovering Ki (and your natural Ki regen will apply during the attack too). If you time it correctly, it will act like a Perfect Ki Pulse, and if you're in a Yokai Realm, it will act like a Perfect Purification:
- Recovers red Ki
- Triggers Ki Pulse: Heaven/Man/Earth and Purify Yokai Realm: Heaven/Man/Earth (the Samurai tree skills) based on your stance
- Triggers Devour Yokai Realm and Absorb Yokai Realm in Shiftling Tree
@@PWARGaming Personally I'm leaning away from temp buffs (especially stacking buffs), toward consistent "Melee vs" purity or corruption, which mostly don't have immune enemies. And then, purity > corruption because you need Sentience Charge out the wazoo to even get close to Purity Talisman. And Yokai resist corruption more than humans do purity. Except Staff generally(Twin Phoenix, Shin Crusher, Changing Ways) and a few select moves on other weapons, inflicting corruption is only reliable during Awaken.
Purity on the other hand is piss easy.
Imperial Ward+ 6pc should be more or less as good as Sarutahiko or Genryu for anima gen on not-Staff.
So at that point, you're gonna pick between IW+ or Izanagi 7pc.
Lazy and fast option is IW+7 over Iz7. 10~15% less damage depending on other factors but almost constant uptime and no spirit swapping.

the only game where you have to beat all of the content first before you completed your build and on top of that you have to deal with THE RNG and pray that you have a correct star roll on the correct graces.
sometimes i don’t understand the logic behind it
it makes no sense at all. more so, the depths aren't even different from normal underworld. literal copy paste. they know the audience and builds power, yet excluded ultra hard content the first game had (double bosses). beat the content, finally make your build, and there's no content left to challenge it. disappointing.
@@PWARGaming Team Ninja should have given us the ability to craft graces and star roll that we want like special umbracite or something even if its hard to get just to give us some degree of control rather than RNG on top of RNG

Any chance for a new/updated Ninjutsu build? Did you have a Kusa build in Nioh 2 yet? Maybe it's time? Kusa+Claws+Ninjutsu? C'mon it would be cool!
for ninjutsu you'd do marici 6 + omoikane 7. or kato + omoikane. feather dmg only, yokai spam them with ninjutsu hit anime bonus on cores/neko spirit. but purpose of my recent vids is to use new gears/attacks for my dlc3 builds. kusa was gonna be a build but deciding not too. new skills for it aren't crazy enough, so it'd just be a reaper build.

@@mohammadalateeq8615 kato buffs your wpn dmg better but marici has D-down so if solely gonna use ninjutsu marici. if you still want wpn to matter, kato. kato is also easier to build.

I’m quite new to nioh so I’d like to know how you change the weapon scaling on a weapon? My fists don’t have constitution scaling so do I have to farm for fists until a pair with constitution drops or is there a way to change it?
Transform x stat is the effect you're looking for, which is a star only stat, altho it can be inheritable lots of the time too. but pretty much found-only as you can't forge ethereals and it's a ethereal only stat

Nice build dude, I had a similar build in mind but is not finished yet, I'm tired of versatility, instead of Susano I running ninigi 6pc; on tip I put the owl on my second gs and switch between before bosses or when I have space for that, but it's just my personal preference, and as you said anima building is slow with that, I'm trying to get anima bonus purity on my soul cores, so I don't have to choose Tiger..

You mentioned in your video that using grace of susano isn’t good for endgame, but what would you recommend to equip to replace susano. I’m not a huge fan of susano either but can’t figure the most optimal gear to replace it.
Ninigi or take minakata to replace susano.

How do people not like versatility? Using skills is more than half the combat in this game.

but yah versa is great. it just got played out to hell all of last dlc 2, so i would prefer using new stuff
Well tbh by the time you get 9 stacks with some builds you can kill in half the time, but I will say I love it because it rewards skill
