Honestly, have to disagree really hard with the Turtle Master ranking, The resistance 4 effect takes away 80% of damage, making you basically invincible with regen or instant health. I’ve even used them to take down Wardens by face tanking.
Hmm... using it for a warden, that's an interesting use I'll have to try out myself.

@@XayXayYT also it allow you to tank the strongest attack in minecraft without armor at point blank the charged creeper explosion which has the same damaged as an end crystal so your basically invisible now pair that with max out armor aka prot 4 netheright your basically in creative mode plus golden apple plus instant health and the slowness could be negated by jumping

Potions of slow falling are kinda nice in Ender Cities. Really make me less nervous about getting shafted down four floors.

Turtlemaster is actually very useful to escape sticky situations since it doesn't slow down elytra flight or teleportation.
(Such as surprise crystal attacks)
Also, if paired with any form of health regeneration, your opponents would have a hard time trying to hurt you while you quickly heals.
wouls be a cool addition if chain armour would also turn invisible (and enchant glow would dissappear)
thatd bring it a cool use. You wont be completely naked, if you enchant it itd be pribbly a little better than iron.
also same could go for leather armour
Fun fact: full protection 4 iron armor is better then none enchanted full diamond
I assume the same would apply to chain and you would get a nice blend of above iron below diamond armor
To be fair on regen, sometimes the regen from hunger just isn't enough and [unless you have Chorus Fruit] you've gotta wait for the game to decrement your hunger bar to be able to eat and start the food regen again
But Instant Health exists.

The fall damage decrease on jump boost can be op but only very situationally. It actually saved me in a manhunt with random potion effects but that was the only times i've liked jump pots
it certainly can come in niche situations with the damage reduction but overall I feel like the goods unfortunately doesn't outweigh the bads
Slow Falling also works amazingly for the End Cities, as well as elytra flight... oh, and tridents. Slow Falling gives you effectively infinite range on your flight until it ends

I feel like that'd would instead push everyone away from using potions though lol
If you combine jump boost 2 with slow falling, you can get WAY too many critical hits and destroy anyone. It still socks though but they're not that bad I guess
You can't perform critical attacks if you have the slowfalling effect. Besides, its a lot easier to get combo'ed when you have slow falling.

I’m sorry but I really need to disagree with the night vision potion. The night vision potion is super useful in a number of situations.
It makes ancient cities in particular way easier to raid and is a decent counter to the darkness effect.
It makes caves, nether and deep oceans easier to navigate without.
It makes the ocean monument easier to raid.
It makes ancient debris mining easier by granting better visibility and making it less likely you’ll miss a piece of debris.
It actually does enhance your vision in lava when combined with fire resistance by making it brighter.
I've already seen comments about turtle master, so ill say stuff about slow fall. Its one other use, but you can use a culture 3 trident with ended pearl a (cuz they carry your momentum) and slow fall so u don't die in the void crossing the great end gap. Yes, this combo is one of the best ways to cross the end gap without elytra.

Slowfall potions are also useful when you're bridging between end islands before getting the elytra because they give you more chance to throw an ender pearl onto an island if you fall to the void, and if you miss the throw, you still have more time to throw another one. I always keep one in my hotbar when bridging in the end islands because I don't have a fast enough reaction time to get a good ender pearl throw. However, they aren't that useful after getting the elytra, so I still agree with the ranking in the video lol
10:28 in correct scenario, regen II potion allows you to technically die twice, without dying. Similar effect can be archived with 3 steaks.
Potion of regen is more appealing with natural regeneration off.
I mean, I still use suspicious stew 99 times out of a hundred, and enchanted golden apples can usually make up that remaining 1%, but, you know, I could run out of healing in the End..
I did survival with the natural regeneration off. (In bedrock edition world).
Since August 2022, I quit playing bedrock, realising that bedrock edition is bad.

12:48 due to bug MC-107856 Harming tipped arrows don't stack with arrow damage, so they don't do anything at all on a bow with any level of Power enchantment, and only do, like, extra heart of damage on a crossbow.

@@XayXayYT However, you have to remember that milk buckets remove ALL potion effects from a player, including the beneficial ones they used on themselves like a strength or fire resistance potion, forcing them to drink a milk bucket to remove the poison, weakness, or slowness from themselves.

turtle master is S tier. you can negate all damage and survive ender crystals in pvp battles, also just use a speed potion and jump, and you will move normally.
Yeah big thing about any slowness, literally even slowness 255, is that spring jumping still lets you move at a decent pace

There's this really excellent mod called The Betweenlands that adds a lot of new features (new dimension), and one of the things it adds is a new brewing system. Their version of the potion of regeneration is WAY more powerful than vanilla, and it functions pretty much like your example does lol
Slow falling is pretty good when you have elytra. You can basically hover in mid air.

Weird fact, apparently there is some kind of upper limit to the amount of damage arrows can do, that both the Power enchantment buff and the extra damage from the Harming effect are subject to; therefore, fully charged Bows with Power IV or V will actually do the same amount of damage with regular arrows as arrows of Harming. I don't know for sure if that's how it works, but the Wiki and multiple other sources say this, so I do feel like it is something to keep in mind.

Night vision is an easy S tier. It's super useful in the caves and makes it 10 times easier to spot diamonds on the walls or ceilings of massive caves. Torches are not the way. Not to mention night vision potions are a god send in ancient cities and the deep dark in general because if you try to place torches you will make noise and spawn the Warden. Night vision can even help you see a lot more clearly underwater as well. And they can be turned into invisibility potions which are super useful for making certain mob farms like guardian farms so you don't get killed while building. Not sure what was going through your head when you put it into B.

It makes you mine slightly faster according to the wiki, and it is really minor increase from my in game testings. But either way you're better off getting haste from a beacon
Night vision is for people who don't set brightness to max which makes the game easier than it already is, who then brew a potion to make the game even easier than setting brightness to max.

As a kid I was legitimately obsessed with flying over the oceans in creative mode while chugging night vision potions for some reason. Like I’d literally do just that for hours. I have no idea why in retrospect, since this was years before the update aquatic and I started doing this before even 1.8, so for awhile there wasn’t even any ocean monuments, just miles of gravel and sand with the occasional squid. This was also partially before 1.7 when the oceans were way bigger. I guess I just really liked the idea of being able to see through water. I’m studying marine bio at uni now so that’s probably at least a little connected.
By complete coincidence, I also happen to be bisexual.

Poison isn't useless even if they have milk,
as drinking milk will cancel out their own benificial effects as well (such as resistance)
Night vision is useful because complete or near-complete darkness is dark even with max brightness.
You also mentioned that it doesn't let you see better in lava, which is true: because that's already a part of Fire Resistance.
As for instant health and instant damage:
Even a full hotbar doesn't have much use, as the resistance effect given by golden apples, totems, and turtle master renders it basically ineffective.
And assuming you've heard of survival mode, you actually need to have weapons, tools, and food on you, you may only be able to fit only 3 potions on your hotbar.
2 of those slots are better used for either a misc bridging block or fireworks post-dragon, and an emergency fire resistance pot.
I'd say turtle master ranking is also unfair, as can be demonstrated against mobs like the warden, for example, or in desperate situations, as it basically provides temporary invulnerability when combined with something like a golden apple.
Potion of turtle master is so broken you literally can’t die and basically get the equivalent of 50 hearts and most of the slowness is cancelled out by jumping

to be fair turtle master is pretty usefull in pvp because you become an immortal tank that can walk into armies and not die and the slowness can be negated by using a swiftness potion
I think regen is better than healing because you actually have to use the healing in a fight but you can drink the regen before the fight making it easier. I’d switch instant health with poison on the tier list

The warden
Turtle master grants 80% damage reduction.. to everything
You can quite literally pop a turtle master and facetank the warden, combine that with regeneration and youre basically invincible
Regeneration by itself is enough to run away from the warden and survive sonic booms indefinitely, they make the wardens range a joke
And if youre a mad man who wants to kill the warden or on a multiplayer server/SMP, turtle master is a must have

The three most useless potion in my opinion are:
3. Regeneration. They're okay, but if you're going to all the trouble of brewing a potion that heals you, healing potions will heal you instantly, so there's not a point to brew a regeneration potion.
2. Night Vision. You can just install fullbright, plus if you have your brightness up it's not very dark anyway.
1. Leaping. Jump Boost 2 won't even let you jump a whole three blocks. There's no point to it, and there's so much wasted potential.
Just in the middle of a fun Minecraft potion video and this man makes me remember my existential dread.
The splash water bottle has no use.

There could be the potion of Life, the potion of death, of screeching (gives a high-pitched ringing), of insanity (shows phantom mobs and things that aren't really there), and that's only scratching the surface of possibilities to play tricks on your friends with, and so many other things that could just confuse you how.
@@beargreen1 Technically the closest to the potion of death could be harming or poison. Or maybe even Potion of Decay in Minecraft Bedrock that gives you the Wither effect

slowfalling areas are useful for crystal pvp and heights not just when fighting the dragon. Plus it looks sick when you float down with turtle master on some unsuspecting players

They also have another use, if you time it with a riptide trident and an elytra, you can get a lot more height for the elytra and then glide a lot more distance without slow falling

I disagree with the turtle shell's placement. A turtle master potion and a strength potion trivialize the warden, making it near impossible for it to kill you. They could probably make it so you could take a stage 5 dragon (ice and fire mod) with unenchanted diamond armor.
as a person that strictly bases in snowy biomes, I am one of the few that remember who strays are

Been fighting the Warden in close range, and the 3 potions I really feel like are meta revealant are Strenght II, as it means you can take it out with only 22 sharp V Netherite crits (that would normally be a lot more, given this thing has more health than both the dragon and the Wither), Turtle Master pot as they will severely decrease meelee hits, are your main protection against Warden's sonic boom, and you can even negate the slowness effect by jumping as you move around. Last pot being splash potion of insta health II (can refill your healthbar in a second).
I only recently learnt you can make Slowness potions IV in survival, and oh boy I never thought it would make the Warden as easy as it does. It's moving so slow you can basically land all the crits you want while still being barely out of range for it to hit you. If properly timed, you can even kill it as it releases its first sonic boom. When trying to speed kill it, I went from struggling to make it in 20 seconds, to killing it in 11.8 seconds with the slowness pot
Slowness is really good for combat, what would usually match or be faster than you in speed on vanilla and modded is usually still somewhere close for balance
Once was tryna fight the warden on as bad gear as I could and beat it consistently like without enchants, beacons, netherite gear etc and slowness definitely is a massive help, it makes the kiting a lot less precise and could take down a lot of stuff to make the warden fight, so long as you can still kill it before it runs out (because reminding to slow it down again is rough), round seven to ten normal gaps depending on weapon and if you use potions is all you need to fight it with practice for like half an hour (and 3 to 5 block tall roof so you dont die from fall damage)

I agree with basically everything else, but in my opinion, the turtle master potion actually belongs in the S tier. In my opinion, it might actually be THE BEST potion

I have to disagree with the slow falling, they can be used for MLG clutches along side water buckets… if you use the splash variant. It can also be used to avoid dying to a dripstone fall trap
I think if you have water buckets and you know the timing good enough you don't need them, hence why I say that they're at best used for the enderdragon battle to avoid getting flinged into the void
@@XayXayYT Even if you are very good at MLGs, it's comforting to know you don't have a chance to mess up and die. You'll likely have some phantom membranes sitting around anyway by the time you take on the dragon, so why not go for the safer way, which also saves you from the void?

What it should be is corrupting an invisibility potion and making it into a glowing potion (like the spectral arrows on Java edition) and corrupting a night vision potion for a potion of blindness

To be honest, night vision is completely useless nowadays. Most people edit their gamma value to not even bother with dark areas. It doesnt even stop the darkness effect, it should be below jump boost.
Swiftness is completely useless compared to elytra rockets, and even while cheap flying is still easier than setting up a ton of dolphins just to go somewhere. Even ice boat is more effective, it should be C tier since in fights it can be useful but not that much.
Weakness is underrated here, as same with strength it makes damage taken be completely neglected. In 7:07 you make a scene about how you can just sit still and think, but the turtle master potion fits in much better there, as it lowers the damage taken even further. However, one weakness potion can make your opponent deal 0 damage, which is S tier worthy.
Turtle master, the one you forgot about. Resistance 4 makes it so you could withstand an army, which is really useful. Not even harming will kill you, and in PvP with a few jumps the slowness wont be much of a problem.
Lastly, I'm sad you didnt mention the forgotten potions (and tipped arrows)
For example, luck potion. Even if it isnt craftable the potential could have been great, specially for fishing as it is a quick way of earning mending books without villagers. The spectral arrow is also pretty underrated, it can be useful for fighting a warden to always know where it is.
I've definitely considered luck potion, but from what I've seen so far the potion doesn't work as intended, I felt that rating it on what it could be rather than what it is could come off as pretty unfair.
As for tipped arrows, the others weren't as noteworthy (except slow falling and jumping being used offensively, which I should've noted) and spectral arrows are less tipped arrows and more a unique set of arrows on its own.

Turtle Master potions just don't get enough "bang for your buck" if you ask me.
Turtle shells are way more useful to be worn or even used as decoration than a mere 20 seconds of a discount totem of undying that's harder to use.
They should be cheaper to craft and/or last longer.
