I think we ALL get weepy. Comparing capitalism with socialism and Communism reminds me that, since the beginning of human history, someone has always tried to tell or force other people what to do, what they can't do, when to do it, where to do it . . . control, control, control. It's the aberrant part of human nature.

@@nemo227 I have some wild deep seeded anger almost pure hate for Americans who bash the flag our troops and this country. Our forefathers created something that burns inside almost every American. Pride hope and the freedom to choose to do whatever your mind imagines are just a few of the abundant qualities of The United States of America. Watching and seeing people burn the flag and spew pure ignorance about our country and try to make communism positive disgusts me to no end. I enjoy knowing how wrong they are but wish they really would put there money where their mouth is. Move away you don't like it here? Ok leave cya dont let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya. The only reason they can even begin to think that way is because of freedom. Freedom and the ability to do anything but they do nothing and have no responsibility or self worth zero knowledge or thought goes into anything and figuring out why or how. Listening to anyone who has the same opinion and labeling others who don't. Absolutely zero effort to learn or even listen to the other side knowing your wrong but being to stubborn to acknowledge it or just admit I was wrong I had the wrong opinion and being able to agree but not have an answer lacking the ability to change, learn or adapt and disregard for others opinions thoughts or feelings only to force you opinions thoughts and feelings on everyone living and acting like you are the only person in the word trying to be accepted and following like sheep to stupid to even begin to think for yourself or question your beliefs.
complain and whine people we do not care we will not change and your ignorance will be your down fall. Those who chose to ignore history are bound to repeat it. Well ok i think i am done venting now love you all and my God have mercy on your soul. God bless America

I have been a NASCAR fan since I was 20, I am now 51. Yoel and Mari are now hooked. It is one thing to see it on TV, but to experience it in person is another. I love Yoel's enthusiasm for this country, he has more love for this country than a lot of people who were born here. I guess it takes not having freedom, to realize what freedom actually means. As a veteran I appreciate your love for America and wish you all the best.

Right??? The first time you're there and those cars go by so fast you can't see them til they pass... it's incredible - and the SOUND! I have grave concerns for what is happening here. It keeps me up at night, we are losing everything this country was founded for. Watching the media, “journalists,” rally against the very idea of free speech. In the United States of America. The corruption today is out in the open and there are dark forces in alphabet agencies that disrupt peaceful protests, imprisoning people without due process. I worked in NASCAR doing aerodynamics research and development. My father worked as a fabricator and tire carrier (one of the members of a pit crew) and my uncle was a successful driver in the late 60's, 70's, and early 80's. If you are ever visiting near Charlotte North Carolina, I would highly recommend calling one of the race teams to take a tour of their shop. The engineering that goes into these cars is truly incredible. I would recommend one of the larger teams such as Hendricks, RCR, or Penske since they tend to have tour guides and historical exhibits. There's a small town outside of Charlotte called Mooresville that is nicknamed "Race City USA" because it is home to so many NASCAR teams and drivers. I'm glad you guys enjoyed the race. Unfortunately it isn't as popular as it was when I was young, but it is still a huge part of who we are

I've been to a few NASCAR races when I was a kid. All Winston Cup races. Talladega in 95, 97, and 2000. 2000 was the best year when Dale Sr. won at the Winston 500. His last win before his death. I wasn't expecting him to win since I was rooting for Jeff Gordon, Mark Martin, and Dale Jarrett. That was an unforgettable experience for me, my dad, and my two uncles. I also went to Bristol and Atlanta a couple of times. Bristol in 1996 and 1998. Atlanta in 2001 and 2003.
ADDED: That was perfect about the beer y'all were drinking. The Xfinity series used to be called the Busch Series years ago. I still like to call them the Winston Cup and Busch Series. That's what I grew up with.

It makes me very happy and proud as an American to see you both prospering and so happy to experience everything this great country has to offer. I had no idea Cuba also had a similar sport in its past, and I'm saddened of its demise along with many other things after Castro took power. It may interest you both to know that origins of NASCAR (stock car racing) were started due to "bootlegging" during Prohibition in the US. It's honestly a testament to this country that an activity that so may people love is the result of what started as a small group of people who knew Prohibition was Unconstitutional and literally fought and raced against it. The true history of how NASCAR got started is fascinating and I urge you both to research it on your own time. It's an example of small seections of the population taking action and doing what they can to fight against unjust government regulation. It's crazy to think that just over 100 years ago everyone and every fan at this race you attended would be considered law breakers and would have been sought by government officials. Our country isn't perfect by a long shot, but as crazy as it sounds..... NASCAR is an example of what happens when people as a collective stand up to the government and tell them, "enough." This isn't meant to be a political post, but so much of America's history can be told with stories like this. For example, the movie "Gangs of New York" talk about voter fraud and the Five Points Gang, the movie, "Untouchables" provides an overview of Al Capone, and I only mention that because he made much of his fortune capitalizing on alcohol distribution during prohibition...... so, he turned into the the same type of problem the government was attempting to solve. The point is.... I appreciate that you both are experiencing this all now and are reflecting on how great it is to be here in the US. We are still a nation growing and learning and you both are reminders we shouldn't take for granted that we as citizens influence our growth.

I’d love to host you both in Indianapolis, Indiana for the Indy 500 in May!! We also have very cool drag races too (NHRA) (super loud, you can feel it in your body, earplugs are very necessary). The same drag strip allows the public to race their cars on certain days.
I have thoroughly enjoyed ALL of your videos. Very eye opening and I have felt an incredible range of emotions watching your story. I love how adventurous you both are!! Sending loads of love to you both!! 🏎❤🫶🤩

You'll only saw a 1 mile racetrack...if you ever get to talladega Alabama's superspeedway, it's gonna blow your mind!!! The track length is 2.66 miles around!
Super enorme!!! Sitting in the grandstands you need binoculars to see turn 3. Nascar race cars going 200 mph for 500 miles around the track. And there's usually a big pile up wreck at 200 miles an hour.

Now that you guys have watched NASCAR once, this coming February is the Daytona 500, the first race of next season, and the biggest race of the year. You guys probably won't go, but you definitely need to watch it on TV! Also, they have more than one series, kind of like how Formula 1 also has Formula 2, Formula 3, and other lower divisions.
You guys were at the Xfinity series race, which is basically NASCAR's version of Formula 2. In the series below Xfinity, they actually race pickup trucks instead of cars, and it's just as crazy and exciting to watch!

Something you may not know about NASCAR fans:
If they're telling the truth, a good many of them go to the track in hopes of drinking beer and seeing a crash, because a car crash at 200+ miles an hour is...impressive, to say the least.
Now, you need to treat Yoel(and yourself) to a drag race, a demolition derby, and a MONSTER TRUCK rally!

I remember it was so fun and the fans were just amazing the energy and the atmosphere was incredible. I am so glad Yoel is experiencing all these new things. I was lucky enough to have tickets that allowed me to be in the car pit not even sure what its called really but I was able to take pictures with the racers and their cars. Best day ever hands down.

Every weekend around orlando and Daytona races of all types always fun to watch. Daytona has one of the best hard packed sand beaches for racing and racing is in our blood. we love seeing souped up cars run around. you should buy an old very beat up mustang and let Yoel fix it from the ground up. that way its a hobby and it gets him to do something and it gets him to learn new things. besides its a good way to get his hands busy and its a nice project for him to do. A lot of garages in florida have beat up clunkers but they become really good projects to work on and its a way for Dads and sons to bond learning car mechanics. i did the same with my dad working on a clunker and getting it running again.
