Excellent video..... How much do you charge for this kind of alteration? could you please give me a list of prices for the different alterations you do? like hems for dresses, pants, skirts...etc. I would appreciate it.
When you closed the very last hole, I’m curious as to why you didn’t trim the excess fabric. Not being critical, I’m genuinely curious as a beginner. Thanks! Awesome vid.
you can trim it wasn't that much so it didn't make it bulky. Kinda depends on how much you take in plus it's like a safety net in case it's too tight and you need to let a little bit out.
I have a bridesmaid dress that has one shoulder strap. Everything is enclosed and stitched on the inside, lined and stitched in at the waist. I’m trying to figure out how to get into it to take tucks in the side seams. I need help! I can’t figure out where I’m at when I try to turn it inside out if that makes sense? Thank you! Kathy J
If you are needing to take it in on the side seam you need to unstitched the top and you will need to open the the lining side seam and pull it through to sew. Watch the video around the 3:20-4 minute spot and I show where to open if the lining is sewn to the waist and you can't get into it just through the bottom of the dress.
I don't have a video but I've done several and this year all the girls want a bustle. So what I do is hem the front and taper to the the side seam then put a hook 1-3 hooks depending on how long or full the train is for the bustle on the back.
Thank you for the easy to understand explanation

Do you have video to shorten the front of a sheath gown with slit, graduating to a small train in the back? Thank you, Eleanor

Do you have a video with hemming a prom dress with a 2” mesh strip around the bottom?
If you are talking about the horse hair braid I have a video on my Tiktok channel.
how much one can earn in this business?
It all depends on your area, your skill level, etc but you should be able to support yourself doing alterations.
This is the best decision I’ve ever made to start doing alterations
