Hey, I know its been a long time, but, how did feel it? how good is that bike for curves? how well does the chasis manage bivrations and speed? i have a bmw s1000r and want to switch to a monster 1200s, I know its less HP but looks way funnier to ride. Thanks!
JuanSQuiP hi, i think the s1000r might be the better performing bike stock tbh. If you want to use the monster on track u definitely have to work on the fork. The normal Öhlins comes with 8nm spings which is waay to soft. U gotta change them to at least 10nm, depending on ur weight. Also consider changing the shims package in the fork, since rebound and compression is barley adjustable. If u do that and put some Diablo Rosso Corsa 2 (or better) on it, it’s a furious and fun track beast. Loads of fun and emotion. My advice: change it :-)
Hi! What were your engine settings? I see you use the full touring display. What tires did you have on? I have a 1200 and I'd like to go to a track day in the near future. Thanks!
Hi Axe991, I used the standard sport settings, no manual adjustments. These worked really well for me. I just changed the display to "full view". I am riding the new Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa 2. An amazing tire, for street and track. I'll try a slick next time though, just want to see see how that compares. I recommend to get the Öhlins adjusted to your weight and style, makes a huge difference! Have fun!
Thank you !! I get my 1200 s in the next week !! Being shipped to me .
this definetly is Urban Mode ride
hehe yeah, it kinda was :-)

@@dirkdigglerroyal Hey Dino, you lowered tire pressure on wheels?
I had 2.4 bar in the front, in 2.8 bar in the rear. Both measured warm tires.
