Ditto on wanting a Sony 28/f1.4 - when I had an M6 with the 28/f2 it was the only lens I used. Unbelievably sharp. IMO the best lens Leica made. So I’m kinda convincing myself to get one of these. I was on the fence with the “V” but with the upgrades to the VI ….
I was so tempted to go Q2/Q3 for that fixed 28mm, but I just comment justify the $$$. I’m tempted to go full Fuji for weddings and pick up their 18mm 1.4 on an xt5, I just haven’t made the leap.
Using Lightroom AI Denoise function completely solves the issue with Lightroom Fuji sharpening and Fuji worms. Better than Capture One honestly. Also shooting with DR set to 400 makes big difference in terms of highlights recovery and overall photo quality - JPEG and RAW. And don't forget to set noise reduction to -4 in camera settings.
Hi new to the X100Vi camera, I have noticed this thing with my camera where when I am cycling through the different film simulations and move the camera around while the menu is open, the lcd viewfinder behind becomes a bit laggy, but when I am done selecting the simulation it goes back to normal? is that common behaviour?

Wow, how did he get it so fast! I am still waiting for my order to come haha I almost thought about getting something else but your video convinced me that I should be patient and get them. Looking forward to see the next video.
I’m so confused because I’ve always been a Sony shooter and I just picked up the xt50 with a 23mm f2 and I feel like the images are not sharp at all at f2? Maybe you just can’t shoot it wide open? I’m a wedding photographer in Hawaii and I was hoping to use this for more fun shots but they are just not sharp ??
The files definitely aren’t as sharp as Sony, specially when you use Lightroom so I’d lower your expectations a little in terms of sharpness. Specially with the f2 lenses
@@ChrisTurnerPhotographer hey thanks so much, I was like wow I didn't realize I sucked at photography this much I can't get a sharp image and im glad its not me haha
@laurenbaer1246 the files are much sharper if you use capture one but capture one sucks so I just deal with it lol. I feel like the files are plenty sharp enough it’s only cause you’re used to Sony that it’s a problem if you know what I mean. It’s like going from a new mustang to an old one, the experience of the old one is much more fun but the new one is more efficient
@@ethanlowryphotography When shooting Acros I increase the ISO to get the faux grain. I don't understand the obsession with reducing grain on images that are tiny on IG where you can't see it anyway. Far too much pixel peeping and not enough shooting.
I thought the same thing and wondered if the settings were not ideal. They look noisy in modest light. Reconsidering if I want this camera. It would be my travel camera since I already have the a7iv
@@JackBurton-qp4hc I shoot a ton of images and pixel peep. I understand the grain effect in Acros, But not in the raw files that were put up in good lighting conditions. Thank you for featuring us, absolutely love your work!! Two highly satisfied clients ❤❤
Thanks brother was a pleasure!
Love the photos you guys shared in this video Chris and Ethan!!

I’d love one too.
Yea that's why most Fuji users prefer Capture One, I was a bit exeptixal about it but once I tried it I just couldn't stop comparing the results.
Fine for a handful of images, but such a mare for longer term, large-volume file management compared to LR.

I have been trying to see what a black one with the silver wcl looked like. Thank you
I wasn’t sure at first but it’s a cool look!

An early order at a local camera store ☺️

I don’t need an X100VI. I don’t need an X100VI. I don’t need an X100VI.
*sighs*
But I’d really like to have one!
@ethanlowry1657 where did you get your glasses from?
Haha SpecSavers, 5 years ago 🤣
I wish it was a 28mm (1.4-1.8) with a 50mm lens adapter
40 megapixels. “Useless to me but still cool” you righttt. I mean who wouldn’t just want to have that
🙌
just wish it was 24mm not 35mm
There’s probably room in market for both, similar to Ricoh’s strategy with the GR3
The raw files look very noisy
People care too much about noise. Or maybe I just don’t care enough.
