Glad to see the heat pipe from the a52 make it to the a53. Very weird how they managed to make space for it here, but not on most other Galaxies.
👍
Bro it goes to show you which A series Samsung is really really prioritising ,the A73 of all the A series last year even didn't have one !....I'm confused myself.
@@dukebrobbey64 Yeah, I owned a A52s for a while. It's a fantastic package overall, with the headphone jack and sd card slot people always ask for, with plenty of processing power to boot. It's a shame they decided to place a Kinder egg haptic motor in it though, it really ruined the experience for me that I sold it within a few months.
@@somayough whats was wrong with it?
@@somayough whats a kinder egg haptic motor?
I really love this phone. Some of the videos I've watched people are complaining about stuttering but if you pay attention the phone is trying to do a million things at once so in that case any phone might stutter but I honestly think this is a smooth operator 😁
👍
This comment aged like milk. The Exynos SoC from the A53 can't even playback a video from IG without stuttering.
Thank you for this great video! I was able to repair a loose connection in my phone without breaking it thanks to this walkthrough! Thank you!
thanks for doing this. i came to check if the part of the phone that was warm was where the battery is, but thats not the case i can see now which is good. upvoted
Awesome work,
Love From Bangladesh ❤️❤️🇧🇩🇧🇩
Thanks 😀👍
Excellent video. I had to figure out how to remove the cameras so I could bring my phone to work. Removal successful and the phone booted properly afterwords~
Thanks, glad it was helpful :)
Mine keeps going on and off now it has gone off completely won't go on
@@marykkal773 Mine did this too! After only 4 months of owning it, it just said Samsung on the screen for a few hours then NOTHING! Were you able to fix it? I've sent mine back to Samsung in Sydney... Fingers crossed haha
2:12 majority of samsung midrangers dont have IR proximity sensor, they have software solution called virtual proximity sensing,
Only devices with super amoled plus or flagships have IR proximity sensor underneath display like M51, M52, A71, A73
Can you actually confirm that the A73 has a proxi sensor?
Great video. One day my screen went black, I think I leaned on it. There's no glass damage, just blackness. It makes noises and buzzes when i turned it on and off but its just black. I thought maybe there was a loose connection so I bought tools to take it apart. I guess the next step is a new screen.
Yeah, sometimes they get a hairline crack which is hard to see or not visible in the screen itself and stop working
i have this same problem, did you ever solve it?
@potptvpatsonthepulse5701 I bought a screen replacement and replaced my screen. It took a lot of time and effort. The screen wasn't as responsive, and within a month part of it stopped working and I couldn't put my pin in to unlock. I am typing this from my the new phone I had to get. It's a pretty tedious process to replace the screen yourself if you're not already tech savvy. I was quoted $200 to get a replacement screen at a phone repair shop but instead, I paid $75 for the screen and $9 for some tools. $10 for double-sided phone adhesive to put the back cover on. I wish I just bought the new phone and skipped the replacement thing. The replacement screens are cheap
@@invectrum Thanks a lot for the response! Yeah, I've done a few screen replacements on my phones over the years and the quality of parts has definitely gotten a lot worse. I think you're right about just buying a new phone
Hello, I mixed up the sim slot with the microphone and pressed it hard, did I damage the microphone?
Hi, no will be fine. the microphone is seated above the hole so it won't be damaged.
@@PBKreviews thanks
Is Water resistant feature retained after assembly?
No
Yeah if company does it they replace the seal
2:18
what is the little chip to the right of the processor?
Might be the RAM or storage/ROM chip. Not sure.
Amigo you are just too smart. Impressive! Thanks
thanks and you're welcome
Great, can someone please tell me what the first instrument I use to remove the lid is called, or what I can replace it with, thanks in advance
suction cup for smartphones, or pry pick
¡Gracias!
thank you, and you're welcome.
Mines hasn't worked for a couple weeks now after having dropped it it wouldn't charge and still won't thought it does get hot after a while it doesn't power on and also rattles inside. Is it a simple self fix or does do I need to visit a repair store
Hi, it could be a simple fix but not always. You would need to take it apart to see if there are any loose cables. If not, it might be damage to the screen causing it not to work or other parts.
Hi would u like to tell, what happen to ur device rn? Cus i’ve been through the same thing like u
hello I inadvertently inserted the sim pin into the microphone at the top of my a52s, I could have caused damage or as shown in the video by JerryRigEverything
with the s22 ultra, is the thing safe and there is no damage?
Again nice video, thx from Slovakia for your hard work
Thank you and you're welcome 😀
Very good disassembly/teardown. Please teardown the Samsung a03, i just want to see a internal look and see how big the 48 MP rear camera is. 😍
Thanks. I just ordered it, once it comes in I will do it. :)
I have a question regarding that bottom primary microphone. I just purchased this phone tonight. The store employee shoved the sim card ejection tool being 1/4 inch long, into the microphone slot then when I called him out on it, he stated it didn't harm the phone. But would order me a new one. What's your opinion on it damaging that microphone? Thank you.
Try watching jerry rig everything regarding this
Hi, you will be fine since the filter and the mic are both seated above the hole so basically its like a sideways L channel. So the sim eject tool would basically just hit the end of the frame wall and no components.
@@PBKreviews I have a question for this. The phone It will still be waterproof?
@@PBKreviews OK I have a quick question, I have this phone but recently every once in a while it would freeze and either it would restart or just straight up turn off by itself. Any ideas as to what may have happened?
@@PBKreviews no need to worry about waterproofing? Because it has no damage at all?
Puzzled that Samsung removed the headphone jack. Having disassembled the A52/A52s, would you say the A53 still had space to retain a headphone jack in its design?
It's a money grab. Just like removing the charging brick.
I think it would have had enough space, its the same layout on the bottom as the A52 pretty much and the A52 had the headphone jack. I understand the need for headphone jacks but manufacturers I feel are moving more toward the wireless newer era stuff. Since a lot of people now a days are starting to carry wireless buds and earphones, not as many are using the headphone jack so its becoming an old technology. Just like car cigarette lighters, back in the day they all had em, people still smoke but cars don't have them anymore.
@@PBKreviews Wireless, while convenient, introduces latency, and audio quality will never be the same as that of a jack. Users should not be forced to buy an accessory because the manufacturer deems it "Outdated/Old", it should just be standard like it has been.
First, why run down the "heat" pipe underneath the battery if lithium batteries do not like "heat",I guess really there isn't anymore space in these compact smartphones of ours.
Secondly, I believe the S10 series implementation of the top speaker, with the cameras on the side, would better afford the speaker much oomph !

Is the secondary microphone supposed to record as the primary one? I was distracted while setting up my phone and confused the secondary mic for the sim tray and i inserted the sim tray extraction tool into the sec mic and applied a bit of preassure. Im worried i might've broken it
If you get the info, i'm interested too. I did the same.
@@AstroKevin apparently the secondary microphone Is mainly for noise cancelling while calling, it isn't used for recording, at least not with the a53 5G's stock sound recording app. Some phones have the "interview" mode for recording which does use the secondary microphone, but this one doesn't
Great work👍👍
Thanks!
i used this phone as my main, so far it's almost decent the only flaws is the chipset(exynos) which is notorious for its constant overheating.
Will I damage my microphone stabbing the mic with sim ejector?
frame is from metal or plastic? thank you
the border is plastic but the midframe is metal.
Hi,
Thank you for this amazing video.
I replaced the antenna board because no signal but still not working.
Could you please help?
Thanks a lot
make sure you replaced it with the correct model version. There are numerous sub boards for different regions of the phone. You need to replace it with the correct model version that matches the model number for your phone.
@@PBKreviews thank you for your response.
Actually what I replaced is the black circuit with the grey lines that comes on top of the main board
My Samsung A53 does not get any network signal. Should I replace the IC CPU?
THANKS AGAIN

Hello, I have a question my galaxy a53a 5g randomly turns off. Usually if i press power button and volume down button it turns on. I'm curious if its something I can fix at home do i have to take it to repair store?
Not sure what is causing it to say. Could be many things.
Hello, thank you for the Video. I just changed my Display and the Touchscreen doesnt respond. What could it be ?
Make sure the connector is connected properly, and also you might need to update the phone software and make sure its on the latest firmware. You may need to use your old working screen to do that before installing the new one. If that doesn't help, it might be a defective replacement.
Very good 🤴🏻💯 good video🤴🏻🔥👍🏻

Does the samsung galaxy A53 5G use LPDDR5 ram as the Exynos 1280 states thats what it uses?
What if the SIM card tray is stuck with the memory stick in it as well :( 😢
1st time I have ever watching a single stack Exynos processor with the Exynos logo & model code (E 8825) (exy 1200) in a samsung device.
I hate when companies remove sd card support from phones like they do with earphones & chargers. 🌚

is the internal frame made of aluminium / metal ?
thanks
the midframe is aluminum alloy but the frame border or sides are plastic
Samsung passive cooling implementation is such a joke no thermal paste 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lol yep but that graphite pad still transfers heat but would be much better of it atleast had a some thermal paste on the frame or a 3d layer of graphite on the frame as well.
@@PBKreviews thermal paste is more effective bro
I'm shocked too,but these graphene or graphite sheet where in the world would they be able to "transfer" heat when there's lil space in the phone ?...down clocking performance in relation to heat to sustain stability is the only way to go ,as is being done.
@@dukebrobbey64 yea bro samsung is doing poor implementation
@@PBKreviews how about a33 in your opinion?
absolutly perfect
Waiting for a73! Awesome video. If this A53 and an S20FE was given to you to choose, which one would you choose?

My mine won't turn on its not dead and it doesn't need to charge is it a motherboard problem could you help me out
Does this disassembly affects IP67 rating???
Yes. You would need to apply new original pre cut adhesive or a new back cover/battery door which came with the adhesive pre installed to retain the water/dust resistance.
I have just bought this phone today and I bimistakely used sim ejector tool in Microphone hole instead putting in sim card hole.Is there any problem sir
Hi, no you will be fine. Mic and filter are seated above the hole and would not be damaged.
@@PBKreviews Thank-you sir for the reply
Nice man
Thanks! 😀👍
The Macro Camera is above the flash - I have tested it. So... the bottome one is just a depth sensor.
are The batterys on the A52 5G nd A53 5G interchangeable?
Nope
Hello. The user accidentally inserted the sim card pin into the microphone hole. The microphone is working but is there any problem with the device? Samsung A53. Best regards
Hi, you will be fine. The mic and filter are seated above the hole. They wont be damaged.
@@PBKreviews Hello again. The microphone was not damaged as it was on the motherboard so it wasn't flush with the hole. I asked to confirm.
Hello, my phone is a53, but when I shake the phone, a sound comes from its lens, and when I researched, I found out that it is from the ois stabilizer, now I want to know if this sound is really from ois and whether you heard this sound from this phone or not, please help me please
Comes from mine as well...no worries
Since changing screen mine intermittently glitches (like fails to respond to screen inputs and randomly generates screen inputs when there is none). I have read that the ribbon cable connections are very temperamental and shouldn't be disconnected unless absolutely necessary. Does anyone think its worth opening and replacing the ribbon cable or should i buy a new screen (was working fine first couple days& still does but glitches once a day on average). Thnx
It can be from defective or poor quality replacement parts. It can also be from software issues. Sometimes you need to update the phone software to the latest which will work properly with replacement screens. Try updating if the software it not the latest version and see if it helps.
I have replaced battery in my A53 and after that no SIM card can be detected. Any ideas? I tried everything: reboot, clear cache, other SIM card, both SIM card slots, replace the sub-board (where the charching port and the SIM card reader are). The SIM card is working fine on another smartphone.
Make sure the two wire cables/coaxial cables aren't damaged and connected, as well as the flex cable leading from the sub board to the main board. If all those are ok, and you tried a replacement sub board/charger port board and still have the same issue, then you might either have a faulty battery which is shorting something (highly unlikely though) or you may have damaged something on the main board when the battery was being replaced.
@@PBKreviewsthank you so much for the fast response! Really appreciate your answer, it gave me hope to continue… I found a very tiny part (looks like resistor or capacitor) on the main board that fell off. Not sure how can I put it back in place at home. I have a second working A53 so at least I can identify the place where it belongs.
Is it possible to add a wireless charge ?
an external aftermarket one that connects to the charger port, yeah but aside from that no.
Good morning Samsung A 53 5G i dropped my phone then there was a bright green line going from the right of the selfie camera and a light green line from top to bottom in the middle of the phone , i turned it off and let it sit the whole night . when i turned it on the green is gone , but there are patches of blue all over the screen . like someone splased blue ink over it in some places . the phone works and recieves e mail and some stuff . your help would be very welcome Thank you
This is my first phone since 1999 (I had sageam, philips, bunch of nokias for 10y and from 2010 Samsungs like Galaxy2/S8+ etc) that broke down completly. Run into infinite boot loops and stopped responding at all... damn it
I've owned one of these phones for a couple of weeks and today I've started hearing a rattling sound from inside it when it's moved up or down (towards or away from you as you look at the flat screen) or turned over. I'm quite concerned. The noise seems to be coming from near the camera. Does anyone know what could be moving around inside it and whether I should be worried?
It's just the camera assembly and its normal for it to move around.
@@PBKreviews Thank you for replying. I'm just surprised that I haven't noticed it up until now as it's fairly loud clicking. I suppose once you start worrying about things it suddenly seems obvious.
It's the stabilizer (ois) of the camera
No its ois camera which makes sound
@PBKreviews Thank you for the reply because I was worried about the same issue on mine I already had my phone for a year now and I just noticed when I shook my phone. Cool that it's normal. But I recently drank at a party a little to much and I passed out with my phone in my pocket which unfortunately I woke up to a messy situation 🙃 which made my whole case get wet if you know what I mean 😅. I was able to get it turned back on but now I am experiencing at times the phone freezes and shuts down and restarts. I wrote samsung support they seen after a few error reports that my AP is suffering a minor voltage surge. Could it be it is still wet by that chipset. And it does get very hot by the camera when it shuts down and freezes. I did a factory reset that it did help out another but when. It freezes and shuts down it does it like at least ten times and I take off any casing I have on it for it to normalize it to stay on. I would want to open it to wipe down all of the motherboard and stuff but with my big clumsy fingers I might make things worse. I am just hoping it will completely dry off by itself. Any suggestions.
I was waiting for this phone to come out, and was fully prepared to buy it, until I saw that Samsung took away the headphone jack. Also, only offering it in Black to the US market was a bummer.
In Korea, the a53 came in blue, white, and black. So I am using the a53 in blue.
@@아기오리 Is this phone good? How is camera?
@@subratachakraborty9630 good! Cameras are great! All grate!
Since most put it in a case, that's not much of a downside. More complain about scratching and grip, hence a case.

Hello, my phone is A53 and I went to the sea some time ago and as you know the sea water is salty and I was filming in the sea when the phone fell from my hand. It damages the phone a lot, but it's been almost a month now and I haven't noticed anything, but after falling into the water, it took a total of 30 seconds or maybe less because the phone was in water. Is it possible to damage the phone or is it okay? And nothing happens to my phone? Please help please
I find the fingerprint sensor annoying, could anyone tell me if I disconnect the module would the phone still operate normally without it's use, or will it cause problems for other aspects of the phones normal function?
I think the phone should work fine without any issues if you disconnect it.
@@PBKreviews thank you. I am also surprised to see a Li-Ion battery in there, as a variety of sources such as gsmarena describe it as having a Li-Po battery
So good mr

why can't Samsung just use 4 small screws to hold the plastic backplate, they can advertise it as replaceable and customizable while keeping the water resistance, but again they don't even use pull taps and the removed the headphone jack 💀
I'd love your videos more if you comment on the fact that there is clearly enough space for a headphone jack in there ฅ^•̀ﻌ•́^ฅ
