    You have found a deep rabbithole when it comes to Sabaton. They celebrate 25 years this year. Their songs are almost all based on historical events and they have YT channel where you can find the history explained what each song is about.

    So happy to see your reaction to Bismark! SABATON is my favorite band. What I recommend are official music / lyrics videos of:
    - Soldier of Heaven
    - No bullets fly official animated story,
    - Christmas Truce,
    - Night witches official animated story,
    - Father,
    - The lady of the dark official animated story,
    - En livstid i krig live from Gothenburg with english subtitles,
    - Sarajevo
    - The attack of the dead men,
    - Hellfighters
    - From hell to back,
    - Versailles,
    - The unkillable soldier
    - Winged Hussars
    - The final solution - it´s about such horrific events that I don´t even know what to write.
    - Stormtrooper,
    - Shiroyama
    - Screaming Eagles
    The animated story videos are official music videos, just with a short great story-telling added to the video. They really are great.
    There really are so many more great Sabaton songs - these are just a few that came to my mind.
    Sorry for any spelling/gramma-errors, english is not my native language.

    Every song that they have made is entirely historical, for a few examples, Steel Commanders is about tanks, Dreadnought is about the Dreadnought class Battleships and the Battle of Jutland which is the largest naval battle in WW1, Screaming Eagles is about the 101st airborne and the Battle of the Buldge in WW2 and The Unkillable Soldier is about Sir Adrian Carton de Wiart also known as the most wounded soldier in WW1 to ever live. Sabaton has made 11 Albums and 10 of them are about military history. (edit) They also have a History channel if you want to learn about the song and how it was made.

      they got a song here and there that isnt history. shadows, its about naz gul in lord of the rings, not realy historical. camouflage is about a ghost in vietnam, not to much truth in that neither. i would say MOST of their songs are historical but i wouldnt claim every song is. thats just lying or not knowing what sabaton do and did 🤷‍♂️

    Great reaction to my favorite band. As the comments already said, most of their songs are based on war-historical events or persons. They are telling history in the best possible way (they got a price for their work - Enlightener of the Year Award 2022).
    Make yourself ready for an incredible journey.
    I recommend the next reaction to "No bullets fly" - animated video (I don't tell anything about the story. It will be explained in the video)
    And don't forget the tissues, you will need them 😉

    This song was my introduction to Sabaton a little over 4 years ago… I heard this and 5 or 6 other songs and I was hooked. I then saw an ad that they were playing a show in London, UK (I love just outside of London), I booked a ticket there and then… that show was 4 years ago today and it’s one of the best shows I’ve been to!
    They just announced that one of their former guitarists is returning to the band and they are writing new music.

    Welcome to the Sabaton Army. If you decide to jump in with both feet you won't be disappointed. You may also want to check in on their Sabaton History channel. There they cover the history of the story they are singing about but also about the song itself. The fact that you said it makes you want to look up and learn more about the Bismark is I think one of the biggest pluses of Sabaton's music. As a history geek and a music lover this band is one of my all-time favorite bands.

  • @najroe

    great reaction, more Sabaton please, and Yes, they are almost ajwats singing about history, which means a loooong list of history based music.
    Sabaton also has an award winning history channel that gives background to over 100 if their songs (not music award, academic, aimed at education of the public) .
    Sabaton videos are often have dedictions and/or messages at the end, perhaps not always but... watching to the very end is frequently well worth it.
    Animated STORY videos (short Animated history lessons with music videos in them)
    No bullets fly, enemy showing mercy to injured aircrew in a nearly wrecked aircraft bare still flying, even escorting them to safety.
    Night witches, Young (17-28) female bomber pilots in ww2 fighting the Nazi despite the discrimination theh faced and being given obsolete equipment, aircraft ...
    Lady of the dark, female fighting alongside nen during ww1 and being highly respected and even more decorated.
    Red baron, the famous fighter pilot of ww1 l
    first soldier, unlikely French hero in ww1.
    Epic ORIGINAL videos.
    You just saw Bismark, about the sinking of the ship
    Christmas truce, about the spontaneous truce in some parts of the western front during Christmas 1914
    40:1, about polish soldiers, badly outnumbered (just under 750 in all) facing 42 000 germans, they where BADLY outgunned desperately defending against the German invasion 1939 (with odds actually close to 55:1 they held for 3 DAYS when ammunition and supplies ran out.
    Uprising, the Warsaw Uprising against the nazi germans during 1944.
    To hell and back, they tell the story of Audie Murphy (highly decorated) and his struggle AFTER the war, so about PTSD and drug addiction that returning soldiers can face.
    Fields of verdun, the 300+ day long battle fought there.
    Price of a mile, about the battle of Passchendaele
    Screaming Eagles, about the battle of the bulge
    Live performances
    40:1 from poland
    Uprising from poland
    En livstid I krig live from Göteborg Sweden (in Swedish but there are subtitles) , very heavy again, about thoughts of a young man going to war.
    Two covers that are good
    Defence of Moscow, self explained
    1916 about the devastating battle of the somme in ww1, casualties topped 1 milion if you count both sides, all for 6 miles of ground,
    these are just some, there are plenty more.

    I would really recommend that you react to Christmas Truce set in World War I when both sides laid their arms down to celebrate Christmas together then went back to the fighting - it stars the band members like this one but you need to stay through the ending credits to hear the angelic voice of Floor Jansen - so many reactors miss that part th-cam.com/video/HPdHkHslFIU/w-d-xo.html

    Excellent reaction and I hope you continue your Sabaton journey. Kudos to Sabaton for actually going out on a small trawler on the open sea to film the band portion of the video instead of filming in a nice warm and dry studio using a green screen. For your next reaction, I would recommend "the last Stand" official video which is a compilation of live concert video. You might also consider checking out their live videos, especially from the 2012 Polish Woodstock festival with over 500,000 in attendance.
    Sabaton tells tales of sacrifice, courage, honor, and humanity by individuals and groups that emerge from the chaos of war. If you are interested in the backstory of what the song is about, the Sabaton History Channel covers the events in detail using historian and documentarian Indy Neidell as host.

    Great reaction. As You seems to be into history - Sabaton is the best History Teachers there is. They are really GREAT guys all of them. Down to earth guys with a lot of humour.
    Some fun facts:
    - The drummer of Sabaton, Hannes Van Dahl, is married to Floor Jansen from Nightwish. They live in Sweden with two daughters, horses, dogs and cats.
    - One of the guitarists in the band, Tommy Johansson, has a fantastic voice and are a fabulous guitarist, keyboardist etc as he shows on his own TH-cam Channel @ReinXeed. Every week he posts metal covers (mostly Power Metal) of other genres and well-known songs. His channel is a MUST to dig into. I'll give some starters below. He also has his own band called Majestica, and they play just Power Metal.
    Unfortunately, Tommy just announced that he after 7 years in Sabaton want to concentrate on his own career and therefore leve the band, after first helping find a replacement and stay to get that person into the music.
    I do not give You Sabaton requests as I see that several commenters have already given You the best.

    I'm sure you've had a lot of replies about the band itself, but I'll put my own contribution in 🙂
    Early on in their career they were looking for a "hook", or image for their music, and settled on songs that told true tales of war with it's heroism and tragedies. They have made so many incredible songs along those lines that it's hard to know where to start, but this is a great one. The production values are extremely high, with both live acting and some amazing CG from a computer game company that might as well be live. I'm just stunned that this, and others they've done, haven't been given major awards for both the music and the production.
    Others will give you great suggestions for where to go to next with their music, but you can't go wrong with anything of theirs you select.
    The only other detail is that they have a reputation for being the greatest bunch of humans as well hehe. If you catch fan videos of their live shows you'll see how much fun they have onstage.

    Shout out to World of Warships for creating the amazing battle scene for this video. All the ships and fighting were created using CGI then used Live Action actors placed into the scene. This is just one example of some of World of Warships’ amazing battle scenes they can make.

    Meet Diana Ankudinova!
    Diana has the title - Queen of Goosebumps.
    Challenge yourself, can you resist the charm of her voice?
    One of the last comments about Diana's voice:
    Pffff.... her voice is really very special, unclassifiable, atypical, out of the ordinary... 💖
    1) super unique voice (dramatic contralto with polyphonic overtones);
    2) the most complex vocal techniques, a bewitching voice;
    3) Diana sings in 6 languages : English, French, Russian, German, Spanish, Arabic and any musical genre;
    4) incredible charisma, artistry and living of any song;
    5) a vocal range of 4 octaves;
    6) a large army of fans around the world;
    7) an independent artist, without producers and labels, only with the support of fans and reactors like you;
    8) more than 18 thousand reactions (all collected in my playlists). 17 reactions received between 1 and 3.7 million views.

    9.20 - what made the Bismarck famous was the fear she caused n the effort put into sinking her based on the treaties set after would ww1 n the position of Brittan when it was deployed. after ww1 the nation set limitations on thier military to prevent an arms-race, however in the 1930s some nation including Germany stated going going against them, the Bismarck and her sister ship the Tirpitz were among them, while counties like Brittan n France were still were, meaning Germany had the more powerful ships. fast-forward to may 1941 Germany managed to advance to the English channel leaving Brittan alone n relying on surplices from the u.s. witch they had to protect them selves from Germanys smaller ships n subs. not wanting these 2 ships out in the open to make thing more difficult they hunted the Bismarck down for over a week when she deployed just to protect the supply convoys. as for Tirpitz she was kept in Norway until November 1944 when the r.a.f. managed to bomb n sink her.
